Our Picks: KSwiss K-Frame Speed and Mizuno Neo Ace

Getting all of the playtesters to agree on a single "best" can be nearly impossible. With different foot types, different playing styles, different preferences, narrowing down the list is a task. We've settled on two of the most popular shoes among the team.

What we love about the K-Frame Speed: First released in 2025, the KSwiss K-Frame Speed was designed with a pro player in mind. KSwiss designed shoes to meet the needs of Andrey Rublev. These bootie-fit shoes blend a plush ride with a balance of speed, stability and support. Our testers raved about these shoes when they tested them for their impressive comfort and support-to-weight ratio.

What we love about the Neo Ace: The TW team liked the Neo Ace so much it actually might be faster to describe what we don't love about this shoe. All jokes aside, this newest Miuzno court shoe just impressed our team all around, and we found virtually no shortcomings when it came to performance on court. The TW playtesters reported step-in comfort as well as a good mix of stability and agility, and there's even a six-month outsole durability guarantee.

Our Pick: Asics Gel Resolution X

What we love: Asics overhauled the Gel Resolution for this 10th iteration. Without even looking at the internals of the Gel Resolution X, players can notice some big differences. Most notably is the higher ankle collar on the medial side. Asics also upgraded the Dynawall for even more stability, and FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam ensure plenty of cushioned comfort. The fit has also been updated to be a bit roomier, and depending on the player, could affect the performance on court. Our men's TW playtesters found the fit to be slightly long and recommend going down a half size if you find yourself between sizes. Aside from all these updates, there's no denying the Asics Gel Resolution X is one of the most durable shoes on the market. Those who are ultra tough on their outsoles can count on the Tennis Warehouse six-month durability guarantee, which provides a one-time replacement pair for shoes worn through the outsole within six months of purchase.

Honorable Mention: Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4

Because these shoes can be hard to find, the Vapor Cage 4s are listed as an honorable mention, but that's not to take away from their actual on-court performance. These Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4s are the most durable in the Nike tennis shoe lineup. The outsole is integrated into the upper to help provide protection for hard court sliders. The shoes are also stable for aggressive movers. There is no longer a women's version, and with few colors available each season, the shoes can be hard to get.

Our Picks: Wilson Rush Tour 5 and Lacoste AG-LT Ultra

What we love about the Rush Tour 5: Wilson really ups the ante with the introduction of the Rush Tour 5. This model is supportive, stable and fast-feeling on court. The use of a carbon fiber plate and "super" foams typically seen in running shoes and a heel-to-toe rocker sensation helped this shoe feel speedy and secure. Although there were no major dislikes across the board for our team, there were some durabilty concerns considering the high pricetag of the Rush Tour 5. However, there is a six-month durability guarantee to help ease those concerns.

What we love about the AT-LT Ultra: Originally released in 2023, these AG-LT Ultra shoes are proving to stand the test of time. Designed for the aggressive movements of pros like Daniil Medvedev (some of the men's version sport his name and signature logo), the AG-LT Ultras quickly won over the TW playtesters when they reviewed these shoes in 2023 and continue to impress in 2026. The shoes blend support, stability and comfort, and we thought they looked great as well, making them an all-around option for the court.

Our Picks: Nike Vapor 12 and Asics Solution Speed 4

What we love about the Vapor 12: With the release of the Vapor 12 in 2025, Nike went back to what the line became known for: lightweight speed and comfort. For reference, our measurements put the Vapor 12s about an ounce lighter than the previous version. And an ounce on the tennis court can mean a lot! The return of the finger lacing system also means players can get a secure fit in these Vapor 12s.

What we love about the Solution Speed FF 4: With this latest iteration, the Solution Speed FF 4 continues to deliver plenty of speed around the court along with some nice cushioning underfoot. When shoes are light, sometimes support and stability can be lacking. That's not the case with the Solution Speed FF 4. Our playtesters felt well supported, and although not as stable as something like the Gel Resolution X, these Solution Speeds were trustworthy for lateral movements as well.

Our Picks: New Balance CT Rally 2 and Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour 2

What we love about the CT Rally 2: This evolution of the CT Rally (and before that these shoes were called the Lav) keeps the ultra cushioned ride we have come to love. There's Fresh Foam X in the midsole, which delivers a comfortable yet responsive ride. The uppers of the CT Rally 2 have been updated for enhanced breathability. We did find these shoes require a bit of breaking in due to their substantial build. Of course, finding the right fit for your feet is always part of the equation when it comes to shoes. New Balances offers two widths, a standard and a wider 2E fit, to accommodate more feet.

What we love about the Wave Enforce Tour 2: The Wave Enforce Tour series from Mizuno quickly became an in-house favorite for our Tennis Warehouse playtesters. This second generation doubles down on the comfort and stability of the Wave Enforce Tour with ENERZY NXT foam in the midsole and a new Dyna-Heel Lock Lite for increased security around the back of the foot. These shoes run on the generous side of medium so are a better fit for medium to slightly wide feet.

Our Pick: adidas Defiant Speed 2

What we love about the Defiant Speed 2: Released in 2024, the Defiant Speed 2 captured our playtesters' attention for its mix of lightweight on-court performance and off-court style. This shoe also gets pro player approval and is worn on tour by Alexander Zverev. With its speedy feel, comfort and price under $100, the Defiant Speed 2 is an excellent all-court option.

Our Picks: adidas Avaluxe and Wilson Intrigue Tour

What we love about the adidas Avaluxe: These shoes have come with a variety of names. Now called the adidas Avaluxe, we've known them previously as the Stella Court and before that the adidas Stella Barricade Boost. No matter the name, these shoes have been a longtime favorite. The shoes are loved their all-around performance and top-notch comfort for a variety of foot types.

What we love about the Wilson Intrigue Tour: The Wilson design team worked with WTA player Marta Kostyuk to craft tennis shoes to fit the needs of female tennis players. Marta's desire for shoes that felt like running shoes meant for racing around the tennis court. With that directive in mind, Wilson's designers came up with the Intrigue Tour. The new flagship women's shoe from Wilson quickly won over our playtesters for their comfort and performance feel. If you're choosing between the Intrigue Tour and the adidas Avaluxe, there are a couple of things to consider. The Wilson shoes come with a six-month durability guarantee; the Avaluxe does not. If you have wider feet, we find the Avaluxe to fit wide feet better than the Intrigue Tour.

Our Pick: Asics Gel Resolution X

What we love: Rightly so the Asics Gel Resolution series has gained a reputation over the years for being very stable and durable. This latest version does not veer from that recipe, offering durability for aggressive movers. These shoes are definitely built for the up-and-coming junior, a college player or a die-hard league player who are hard on their shoes. PGUARD protection on the medial side of the toe box holds up to sliding on hard court surfaces, and a higher medial ankle collar helps with support. These shoes are also backed by a six-month TW outsole durability guarantee. One thing to note is that these shoes are quite built up and require breaking in.

Our Pick: adidas Barricade 14

What we love: There are few, if any, tennis shoes with a more storied history than the adidas Barricade. The Barricade 14 is designed to be lighter and faster than Barricades of yesteryear, yet it still offers the stability that made this franchise a player favorite. Our playtesters are no strangers to the Barricades and loved the comfort and stability, and they were pleasantly surprised that there was no break-in period like in past versions.

Our Pick: Nike Zoom Vapor 12 and Asics Solution Speed FF 4

What we love: These Nike Zoom Vapor 12 women's shoes are lighter than the previous version by an ounce and even more responsive. Our playtesters loved the look of these Nike Vapor 12s, and they thought they offered good stability for such lightweight shoes. Although these shoes don't offer loads of cushioning, the Vapor 12s deliver explosive court speed and lots of style options.

What we love about the Solution Speed FF 4: With the women's review just wrapping up, the Solution Speed FF 4 is landing on our best of list for its blend of speed, comfort and stability. The shoes also have a great blend of traction to help cover the court quickly. Our one caveat is that these shoes do fit on the short side, and most of our playtesters opted to wear a half size larger than normal for the review.

Our Picks: New Balance CT Rally 2 and Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour 2

What we love about the Wave Enforce Tour 2: The Wave Enforce Tour 2s have a soft, cushioned feel right from the start. The cushioning gets updated to the ENERZ NXT foam for a responsive feel, and the uppers feel light and pliable. We do caution that our women's playtest team found these shoes to run a bit short, and some of them opted to wear a half size larger than usual.

Our Picks: Nike Vapor Lite 3 and Prince Venom

What we love about the Vapor Lite 3: To start, these Nike Vapor Lite 3s are great looking shoes, and their starting price point is under $90. For this price, you're getting a lightweight and versatile shoe that looks great on and off the court. These shoes feel fast on the court, but they're also not going to be the most durable shoes in Nike's lineup.

What we love about the Venom: The T22 is likely the most popular shoe Prince makes, but the Venom stands out to us as a great all-around option for its price. The Venom is lighter than the T22 so feels quicker around the court.
