One hit wonderWhere has this frame been all my life? I have dabbled with the Ultra Pro v4, RF 01 Pro, and others, but this is almost a perfect blend of what other frames offer. You get great feel and flex with the design of this frame, easy access to spin, and the swingweight to get the ball moving through the court or to redirect pace. While the Ultra Pro v4 was good, it didn't quite have enough in the tank to handle pace and redirect it back to my opponents. This frame is very comfortable to use, and it was an instant joy to rip balls back over the net with pace and spin. My partners noticed that the ball had a lot more spin than usual. I will say that the switch has been made. I put a leather grip on it as well, and I'm right at home with the performance this frame offers.

A bit too soft for this SWanother RF97 user here, I enjoy the heft that comes with it but I think its a bit too soft and bendy, I can feel the bend during impact, loses some precision especially DTL on the rise shots.

playerI just purchased 2 Wilson Blade tennis racquets. So far, I am enjoying hitting with these racquets. I like the power that I get when serving and also the stability of the racquet when I hit a forehand or backhand.

Very stable and solidThe higher swing weight provides a very stable response especially on return and volley. One can easily produce penetrating and heavy groundstrokes. The key is to have an early preparation and a smooth long swing.

Amazing racquet - depending on your specsThis is a really smooth classic feeling stick with the right amount of pop and spin. Wilson is iffy in quality control (apparently even more so with their Pro Labs series). It is because of this that I spent the extra money with TW to find a couple at the spec I am looking for. I would highly recommend you do the same if you are looking at this racquet as the swing weight being over specced can ruin the experience.

From RF97 to BladeI’ve used the RF97 Autograph racquet since it came out to the market, that racquet is my favorite racquet of all time, it gave me good control and tons of power sacrificing spin on the game. However, the years passed and I needed to switch racquets to a newer one which offered me the same swing weight (or close) and the control that I was used to have with my older racquet, therefore, that’s how with an exhausting analysis I decided to go with the BLADE PRO 98 V9 (16x19). After using this racquet for a few weeks, I can tell that it gives me: 1. Great control on the shots, I can place the ball wherever I want, same as the RF97 Autograph. However, it gives me better maneuverability at the net compared with the RF97 and when playing from the baseline helps me to create more angles and spaces against my opponent than the RF97 Autograph. 2. It gives me more spin compared with the RF97 Autograph, helping me on the consistency of my shots. 3. It has less power than the RF97 Autograph due to the control-spin base of this racquet, but for me as a player that I can easily generate power based on my gym training that’s not a problem. For me, due to the fact that Wilson is not producing the RF97 Autograph racquet anymore, this is a great choice if you are looking to update to more modern similar racquet.

ImpressedHave been a prior user of RF97 mostly for its stability. Bought the Blade Pro and customized weight and balance as close as possible to the RF (leather grip, handle weight). Under same string conditions the Blade Pro has been amazing. Much gentler on the arm, reasonably close stability and a degree of magnitude higher in forgiveness. I am a believer now why this frame has gained such a following.

Precision and controlDespite my racquet not being strung correctly, I was still able to appreciate the incredible precision and control it offered. Even under less-than-ideal conditions, the racquet's performance stood out, showcasing its ability to deliver sharp, accurate shots with consistency. This experience speaks to the overall quality of the racquet, as it maintained a high level of responsiveness and feel, making it a great choice for players who prioritize both control and finesse in their game.
