Wilson adds a US Open cosmetic to the Blade 98 16x19 v10!

Introducing the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v10 US Open! Featuring the same specs and playability as the standard version, this racquet's cosmetic is inspired by the US Open! In addition to its spin-friendly targeting and exceptional ball feedback, this stick packs a sub-325 swingweight, giving it a speedy feel on groundies and volleys. It also provides a very predictable response, making it easy to swing bigger when loading the ball with pace and spin.  For 2026, Wilson overhauls the Blade 98 with a new tapered beam, delivering a slight boost in power while preserving the control for which this line is known. Additional technologies include StableFeel+ technology, which stiffens the horizontal flex, resulting in enhanced stability and less frame wobble on off-center hits. Wilson also tightens spec tolerances for weight, balance, and swingweight, making it easier to match multiple frames. As with the previous generation, the Blade 98 includes Wilson's FORTYFIVE layup construction, which arranges the carbon fibers at a 45-degree angle to optimize the bending properties. Other features include Direct Connect Technology, which fuses the end cap directly to the handle for a more connected feel. Ultimately, the Blade 16x19 v10 US Open is ideal for intermediate and advanced players looking for controllable power and great feel. The US Open cosmetic is a nice touch.

GoodFeels like a finesse machine. I really like it up close to net and on slices. Swing feels light. Nice contact. Negative: paint flakes/chips if you look at it wrong.

InsaneIf you are an intermediate to advanced tennis player seeking control spin feel and power when you need it then this is for you. The 16x19 string pattern allows for some wicked topspin. Then the new tapered beam allows for power while still maintaining the classic blade feel. The control is where the stands out. It is super predictable so you can trust it and swing out fully. Here are the ratings. Power. 7/10 (no ultra power but better the previous versions) Spin. 7.5/10 (no pure aero spin but super spin friendly) Feel. 9/10 (super pure and feels nice not really that muted) Comfort. 8/10 (really comfortable and good ball pocketing) Control. 9.5/10 (really predictable and gives awesome control) User friendliness. 5/10 (if you are beginning tennis do not buy this not as forgiving beginner focused racquets. Overall this is the best racquet I have played with and will be switching to it. Good job Wilson and also thank you to Sam for helping me with the demos. Now it’s time for Wilson to work of QC lol.

IncredibleI'm picking up tennis after many years of not playing. Demo'd the Babolat pure drive 100, pure aero 98, Yonex Ezone 98, and this Wilson blade. Every racquet felt quite dead and way off when I hit. I didn't play well at all until I picked up the blade. Immediately I felt right at home, crisp feeling when I hit, played great and it was a no brainer. Purchased soon after and played a real match yesterday. It was amazing, and I'm so excited to continue growing with this. Highly recommend.
