Now in its second iteration, the New Balance CT Rally 2 provides even the highest level of players stability, support and comfort. A reinforced heel counter enhances the fit around the heel and ankle region, while the bottom of the shoe provides a high level of wear resistance on the gritty hard courts while the NDurance rubber provides good grip but also allows sliders to skid into their shots. Downgrade from V1The V2 version is a downgrade. The heel slippage is really bad on this shoe and the fabric on the laces slips easily. No runners loop on the shoe which makes the heel issue worse
Great fitting for frequent tennis playersThis is my third pair of New Balance having worn adidas for years. I purchased the wide width in a half size bigger to accommodate my orthotics. There was minimal break in time. I like the look. The weight feels slightly heavier than my last CT Rally but otherwise I highly recommend this shoe for competitive tennis play.
