Overview
Designed to maximize durability Ashaway Kevlar + Plus 17 works best in a hybrid combination. Although it plays with slightly more comfort than the standard Ashaway Kevlar, this is an extremely firm string designed for experienced players and chronic string breakers who want maximum control, spin and durability.
Ashaway recommends dropping the tension by 10-15%.

Comments: I have used Ashaway Kevlar for about 15 years. I thought the addition of a flexible fibre would give a little more power and maybe feel to the strings. I suppose it may have given me more "power" but the strings have lost all of their crisp sensation and control. To me they are thuddy, springy and dull feeling strings with a distinct lack of control, they kind of feel like rubber bands that have been stretched too many times. I am sticking with the original Ashaway Kevlar.
