Carrying on with the signature Energy Rod for lightweight propulsion, this shoe feels explosive while also providing a glove-like fit from the half bootie inner-sleeve. Improving upon the underfoot cushioning, adidas enhances the Dual-Density Lightstrike midsole, while the upper feels light and breathable from the Engineered mesh. The outsole is equipped with Adiwear rubber for a unique blend of durability and traction, with the toe and medial side covered by the RPU Adituff abrasion protection.

Great tennis shoeComing from Jet Mach 3’s, wanted to try a new shoe, so based on reviews I tried these. Are they ‘faster’ than other shoes? I don’t know about that but I like that they are light, sleek and low to the ground. These are almost minimalist in a way but extremely solid. I feel connected to the court. Not overly plush which is good. I know these are discontinued now but grab a pair on sale if you’re on the fence. My only complaint are the laces. They seem almost twice as long as they need to be. I have to triple or quadruple knot them to keep them off the ground.
Durable and lightweightI decided to revisit the new model cybersonics and I'm happy that I did. These have lasted considerably longer than any shoe I've purchased in the past year and do so with a lean silhouette. Ironically, its only issue is the tacky outsole that makes sliding a bit tough.
Great but not perfectIf I’m being fair, I don’t think I’ve ever felt I’ve played in a perfect tennis shoe. Maybe the closest was the barricade 13 which I wore right before changing to this model. Pros: faster than the barricade 13s, more breathable, lighter, and still offer a solid amount of traction/support. Cons: Way more snug in the forefoot compared to the barricade 13s even with me sizing up, the energy rod on the heel can feel a little weird at first, and getting a solid heel lock isn’t easy in this shoe. Ultimately I’d still say this is a great best-of-both worlds shoe but there’s just a few minor issues I have with it.
DefectiveGiving two stars because I really like the way the shoe fit, but it broke after the very first wear. The eyelet snapped on one shoe after playing in a 90 minute clinic. Can’t recommend if it doesn’t hold up for an hour and a half.
Prefer the original CybersonicI've worn the Cybersonic 1 extensively for the past 2-3 yrs. But the 2's offered a different fit, which seem to suit a medium/wide foot type. I have a narrow/medium foot that the original Cybersonic conformed like supple gloves. I have worn 2 different colors (white and black) at the 10.5 sizes. Both of them oddly pinched my right big toe.
On the other hand- style is amazing, it's a super lightweight and extremely fast feeling shoe. Has excellent energy return just the original Cybersonics, but it just did not fit my foot type like the original Cybersonic.
I still would recommend the Cybersonic 2 for medium/wide foot types, or anyone looking for a superb match-day pair of tennis shoes.
Great Shoes!I was a Nike Vapor user for many years but the latest version dug into the top of my foot. I tried these based on all the positive reviews and they did not disappoint! One of the best shoes I have worn in a long time. I also tried on the Barricades and they felt good too but these felt lighter.
