4.5
Yonex's premium shoe for stability and durability adds even more comfort and power as you move around the court.
Yonex's premium offering for stability and durability, the Power Cushion Eclipsion 5, has been modified to enhance the comfort level and provide quicker rebound. The upper material features durable skin for added drag protection, but also flexes well with your feet. The underfoot cushioning features Power Cushion+ technology that translates into a plush and bouncy feel, while helping to put that extra energy into every stride. Yonex's Endurance Rubber II holds up strong against the grittiest surfaces, and the one-piece outsole helps to maximize stability when changing directions.
- Upper: Durable Skin has higher wear resistance while maintaining comfort and support. Heel Stabilizer located at the rear of the shoe, for added stability and support when landing.
- Midsole: Power Cushion+ for shock absorption, and repulsion. 3D Power Graphite Drive Sheet inserted in the middle portion of the midsole to help maximize lateral stability and to help propel you forward while sprinting.
- Outsole: Roundsole ensures smooth movements, and the transfer of maximum energy. Endurance Rubber II compound in a modified herringbone pattern, dense rubber in high wear areas, and perpendicular tread on lateral edge to help with sliding.
- Color: Black / Yellow

Customer Reviews
Love this shoeI had used the Eclipsion 4 for several years so I was skeptical about the 5 when the 4 was discontinued. It was a minor adjustment and I now feel the 5 is an improvement and better built shoe over the 4. It is slightly wider than the 4 and I like a snug shoe, but I did not find this to be a problem. I suggest avoiding the black or darker colors if you play outside in a hot climate. My black 4’s would get hotter than any shoe I ever had on a bright sunny day. The white is the way to go.
Laces get stuck in grommetAfter about 4 month, the laces of both shoes got stuck in the very last rubber grommet. The laces cut into the soft rubber grommet. This makes it very difficult to untie. Annoying.
Yonex Eclispes my Asics SSBeen wearing the Solution Speed for many years now but going indoors this winter from the dirt and led me to look for more shock absorption: the Eclipsion fits the bill.
Best Shoes I have usedBeen cycling through different tennis shoes and I am so glad I tried these shoes. I have narrow feet with a high arch and struggled with plantar fasciitis for a long time. My foot pain has gone away after I switched to this shoe. The durability is superb. I typical need to buy new shoes every 3 months and I am currently on month 6 with these. They are very grippy shoes though, when I first got them I could not slide on hard courts. But after a short break in period I am pleased.
Quality shoeI've been testing various shoes and this was a contender for the best one among tens. It has great support, good quality materials, it's just well thought out. The only small negative I've encountered is that the front part of the shoe feels a bit slimmer and with less padding compared to the heel. It wasn't noticeable at first, but after a couple of months and a bunch of aggressive breaking I have begun to feel it.
I forget I am wearing themI bought this shoes to substitute the Prince T22. They are comfortable, elastic and light. It gives me a good support, my ankles don't roll and I have better speed in the court. During game time, I forget I am wearing them. No foot plant pain when hard stepping, no heel pain when jumping, and good quality material.
GoodTakes some time to break in but then feels good and lacing system allows the laces to be pulled tighter since they get gripped by the rubber holes.
Solid ShoeAlthough feet hurt after long walks in New York on recent trip, they have been fine for tennis.
*****My son who is a junior USTA player, practices 14-15 hours weekly, refuses to wear any other shoes. He started with eclipsion 4, now wears 5, he loves both. This one has noticeably more cushion. He tried some other brands like Nike, On roger pro 2, NB. Eclipsion takes it all - comfort, look, durability. he puts a hole in a pair every 4-5 months, which is not bad for his schedule. Surprisingly not very popular among juniors yet.
Very comfortable shoesYonex PC Eclipsion shoes are very comfortable shoes with excellent cushioning and support. Soft and flexible upper adds to the comfort. I have both the hard court and clay court versions of the shoe. I recommend them.
