As the most control-oriented member of the Defyer family, this speedy and spin-friendly weapon delivers impressive command over the ball.

Introducing the Defyer 98 Pro! Ideal for intermediate and advanced players, this 11.4 ounce racquet comes around fast. It also features the smallest head size and tightest string pattern in the Defyer family, giving it a tad more precision than the other models, which translates into impressive command over the ball. Although engineered for spin, the 98 Pro delivers a slightly lower launch angle than the other models, which bodes well for those who like driving the ball through the court. Under the hood, the Defyer 98 benefits from Wilson's revolutionary bending technology, creating a flex profile that rewards sharply angled swings with greater pocketing and ball rotation. It also comes with an Airfoil Bumper that reduces wind drag for easier acceleration. Factor in the speedy, sub-320 swingweight, and you have the recipe for near effortless spin. Additional features include a Torque Shaft that reduces frame flutter and dead zones on off-center impact (think big sweetspot). The 98 Pro also comes with Wilson's Direct Connect handle technology, which produces a more connected feel through impact. Although this stick plays great in stock form, it makes a great customization platform for those seeking added stability and mass-based pop. Ultimately, Wilson has produced an impressive option for experienced players, one that combines raw speed and spin-friendly targeting with enough precision to swing big and target the lines.

Due to current availability, Wilson Defyer demos are restricted to 1 demo racquet per order.

First Wilson Racquet I've LikedLet me preface and say as someone who's played with Babolat since high school, I've never liked Wilson racquet until NOW. Holy cow! This racquet plays so well, but like all tennis creators and Tennis Warehouse test playtesters have said, this racquet does lack plow through and stability. However, I think this is easily solved by adding some lead tape to the racquet at 9/3 ol clock. For me, I did so by adding to 9:30 and 2:30. That all being said, I wouldn't call this racquet a Pure Aero competitor. To me, it's more so a hybrid of the Wilson Blade and Ultra. Great feel, power, and spin, and this racquet gave me the confidence to swing big on my groundstrokes. I've chosen to make the switch to this racquet.

WILSON DEEP FRYER 98 PROYeah. The Deep Fryer is COOKIN! Lookout because you gonna cook with this baby. It's like a PA98-2023 + RF97v13 + BladeV10 = A BABY That COOKS! Fair warning: don't go cooking with it STOCK. It's ok if you're 3.0 - 4.0. But if you wanna unlock godlike 5.0+/Open levels you gotta customize it. Strung it up with that fine dish of full bed of O-Toro Tour at 53/51. Added lead at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock. Tried tungsten, but makes it muted. I hate to say it, but go with the lead (I used gloves to put them on). Loving this for the D1 College Tour. Let's GOOOOO!!!

Should have called it the Mustang24Kg in Lynx Tour, not a string I use much and found it quite stiff. Hit literally yards long for an hour and all I liked about the frame was returns hit very early, super short swing and the ball went right through the court. Next time out I was able to hit amazing slice, it just goes like it is on rails. Couldn’t hit topspin forehand at all, which was bizarre for a spin frame. Now have got used to the speed through the air and can mash the forehand. Just getting the shoulder round a bit more makes the frame fly. It works well with single handed backhand, much better than the PA98 for me. Just needed to avoid holding back on forehands, or getting pushy. Does everything really well and slice is exceptional. Added 12g at 3 and 9 but prefer it stock. Makes the same whistling noise as a P-51 Mustang, which just encourages you to wind it up to the max. Makes people on the next court stop and look.

Excelente raquetI come from the Head radical and then a Wilson RF. I am a 14 World tennis number but I am getting older and needed a racquet that World help me play and give me the competitive edge. I found it with the Wilson Hyper. It has not been easy because it’s a big change. I believe that this racquet give me again the strokes and the speed I had 10 years ago. another this that help a lot is the extra string which gives more control than the other similar racquets in the market. I recommend it

Yezzzzzirrrrr!!!Brah.... this stick is FIRE! The faster you swing the more fire comes out! But that doesn't mean you can be lazy and half-measure strokes. You gotta be disciplined, sound footwork, eyes on the ball, etc. But yeah man, it hits like a DREAM!

Thank you sir, can I have another?I'll make this short... Bought one on a bit of a whim after talking with a club pro who mentioned it was like a Blade Pro V10 with a bit more pop. Strung it up and hit with it, thought hey, yeah, this is like a poppier Blade, maybe this is good. Second hit with it, really found some rhythm and felt like I was able to play safer without sacrificing power, and was able to really get amazing movement on my serves. Third hit with it... I bought a second one. That's all you need to know, ha... Strung with Toroline A5 Spin in the mains at 50, Toroline A5 in the crosses at 52.

Just IncredibleI have played with 2023 Babolat Pure Aero 98 for years but was bothered with two issues: 1. arm&wrist demanding for long games; 2. typical bad and hollow feeling that all Babolat racquets have when hitting the ball. Wilson fixed both of them. Defyer 98P is much softer than PA98 (the ra is only 2 units lower but thinner throat makes the racquet super flexible), and its feeling is just Wilson like, clean and crispy. It definitely worth at least a demo. Superb racquet!

Wilson is gonna lose salesFor background information, I play with the v9 blade 335g static weight and 330 swing weight, so I'm used to heavier racquets. Using the new defyer took a while to adjust maybe around 30 minutes but when you adjust you really find what this racquet is good at, it is amazing at using the wrist to curl shots in that were going to fly and is an offensive weapon, like using the PA98. The launch angle however is surprisingly low unlike the PA98 but really drives through the court when you go for it. Good on every ground-stroke especially the backhand, and has great stability for it's weight. It's so good and so similar to the blade that I believe Wilson is actually going to steal it's own sales from the blade to this racquet. I think in the next few year's we'll see this racquet steal a many of blade players, as rightfully deserved. I see why so many pros are switching the control of this racquet is near that of blade, and gives so much. It's really the in between of a PA98 and the blade IMO. If you currently use the blade, or any stick similar the Defyer 98 Pro is a need to try. It'll feel a bit weird, but it's rewarding when you take massive cuts at the ball.

The Red BaronI demoed this racquet, used it for the first time during a playoff match, winner take all. It automatically felt light and maneuverable but solid. Not only did it hold its own against the big hitters it conquered them. I felt comfortable whacking the ball with no fear of it going out. Angles were great. Cross court shots on the run were sharp winners. Defensive shots were easy to hit because the racquet was flexible but strong. Serves were great. Lots of control and power. Even using it for the first time it adopted to my style of play, drop shops, slices, lobs and … I will say it again, cross court winners. I will buy this racquet. Highs recommended. Just like the Red Baron that conquered the skies, this racquet will help you conquer the courts.

It plays incredibly well.It offers an excellent feel of the ball wrapping around the strings, along with great spin, ball-biting capability, and power—combining the characteristics of the PD and Aero lines with added control.
