Wilson brings extra comfort to the explosive mechanics of the modern game
Introducing the Clash 100 Pro v2! Like the previous generation, the 100 Pro v2 is a uniquely arm-friendly modern player's racquet. It also swings heavier than the standard Clash 100, making it better at redirecting higher levels of pace or driving the ball through the court. That said, aggressive all-court players will find more than enough speed for whipping up spin or reacting quickly at net. For 2022 Wilson updates the string pattern to a 16x20 (for a slightly truer trajectory). They've also reinforced the upper hoop to raise the sweetspot and create a more solid and responsive hitting surface. In hopes of creating a truer exit trajectory, Wilson has also updated the string pattern from 16x19 to 16x20. As with the first generation of Clash racquets, this stick is defined by Wilson's innovative frame technology (originally called FreeFlex). Renamed FORTYFIVE for 2022, this patented frame technology enables the racquet to bend (and soften impact) across a wider geometry of stoke paths. The payoff is greater comfort when addressing the ball at more extreme angles (think topspin). Although some players may find the feedback too muted, the Clash 100 Pro v2 will find plenty of support amongst those who want a softer hitting experience.

This racquet changed everything for meI've always loved stiffer racquets and poly strings. About 5 years ago, I started getting some tennis elbow and wrist pain. I started researching arm friendly rackets and landed on the Prince Phantom. That was an amazing stick. So soft and plush and still allowed me to use poly strings. I loved how underpowered it was/is because it allowed me to take full cuts without hitting the ball out, generating a ton of spin in the process. But just for fun, I tried a friends stiffer racquet a few months ago and I had no idea how much I missed the extra power, especially on serves. But it hurt my wrist almost instantly. Then I heard about the Clash, how it's just as arm friendly but more powerful than the Phantom, and I gave it a shot. So far I LOVE it. Still using soft poly, no arm/wrist pain, but improved power without losing much (if any) control. This racquet is the best of both worlds for those of us battling joint/ligament or tennis elbow problems, but still want to use polyester strings and generate a little free power.
GoodDefinitely a good racquet. Powerful yet controllable. I’m a 4.0, and tested this alongside the Clash 98 v2. Both frames were strung with Solinco Outlast 1.15. Ultimately, I decided the 98 was a better fit for my game as I can swing it through the air just a bit faster and feels more solid on my backhand wing. The 100 Pro is definitely a solid option and does a bit of everything.

Great comfort but..My main racquet is the Babolat Pure Strike. The Pure Strike is too stiff. The Clash's power and control are not comparable to the Pure Strike. If you're a baseline player, 4.5 or higher playing in a tournament, this can be challenging because of the lack of power. I don't think that you'd see people using this racquet playing competitively. This is good if you want to prolong your tennis arm.

Clash 100 Pro v2 Is GreatI have been playing with the Wilson Pro Staff Classic since 1993. I had a few and as they had their days numbered, I was down to just 1 after over 25 years of use. I am now 45, no longer in high school or college where I had played (usually like 3rd doubles...not the best) and not the same young guy I was. I knew technology had changed a lot since the 90s so I decided to demo a bunch and see what I needed. I looked at the Wilson Ultra, the Head Extreme, the Head Boom, the Volkl V-Feel V8. All in all this was the best one I played with. I like to hit hard baseline groundstrokes with a lot of topspin, and a one handed hard non slice backhand from the baseline. I do go to net, but prefer not to! For pure power, I would say this racquet is a great blend between power and control in that it generates nice topspin and even my higher arch shots tend to always land in, same with serves, and hard like overhead smash type volleys. The only issue which is likely my game more than the racquet is "touch" volleys and slice/touch backhand approach shots. This racquet is better suited if you want to generate power and hit hard but not the most "touchy". Good feedback, not as muted as some have suggested, virtually zero arm pain etc. My Pro Staff felt like a 2X4 compared to this. Highly recommend.
good soft/flexible racquetI purchased the Clash Pro v2 as a way to deal with tennis elbow issues. I was playing with an old very stiff Wilson Hammer stretch OS racquet which was ok until I switched to poly strings. I strung the Clash with a soft poly trusting that its low stiffness would be enough to prevent further arm issues. I must say that this set up is significantly softer and it does a great job at damping ball impact. Compared to my old head-heavy racquet and in spite of its heavier weight, the clash head-light design makes it very easy to maneuver at the net. I was reluctant to change my old hammer thinking that my serve was going to lose power. I was so wrong the clash provided more than enough power to produce fast serves and easy access to spin for second serves. Now the racquet demands better technique when hitting hard ground stokes from the baseline, particularly forehands. I learned that the "trampoline" effect some people talk about is real as flat strokes are hard to control i.e. the ball is likely to fly off the court. I either take off some pace or make an extra effort to hit with lots top spin. These are my initial impression after playing a couple times with the Clash Pro v2 as I"m still struggling with arm issues and haven't played as much as I'd wanted to. I also tried the babolat pure drive and yonex ezone 100, but IMO the clash makes it easier to play and felt like in this point in time was a better fit for me.
Recommend, not sureI am a 3.5 all court player. I demoed this racquet, and was not impressed. It was hard to know where the ball was going off the string bed. If you do not hit with heavy topspin most times the ball is going long. Serves were not as strong, and the racquet is unstable when returning hard hit balls. If you have arm issues this would be a good racquet, other wise go with something else.
Gobs of power. Not control.Unique. I expected a softer, heavier Blade, but it's not that. The Clash Pro is its own singular thing. Very soft on the arm. Massive power, almost a trampoline. Very little control. Normally "Pro" implies control but here it seems only to mean high weight. The extreme head light balance does make it more maneuverable than you'd expect but it's not whippy, so it is difficult to generate the spin you need to control the power. It's more of a plow through machine. Big thumping serves are easy to execute but I think few people will be able to control groundstrokes well with this racquet.

Can’t tell differenceI went from the Clash 100 v2 to the Clash Pro. Candidly, I couldn’t tell the difference. Both solid performances.
Wilson Clash 100 Pro V2I am now a long time user of the first version of this racquet. On the side, I've been testing different racquets from different makes to prevent missing the next big thing and only to find I was looking for the Clash Pro in those racquets. The feel is addictive once you get use to it and you can't play with anything else because there's nothing like that. Me, like many other users, craved for a little more control in this racquet and Wilson gave us the V2.
I do recognize this new version has more control built in and more plow, meaning I can produce a heavier penetrating ball. The comfort feel is still there although slightly stiffer all the time, meaning a more consistent stringbed.
What do you loose? First, in my humble opinion, the Clash DNA, which was that soft pillow feel when producing touch shots and the stiff string bed when hitting hard behavior. That is definitely lost and therefore I believe the new version is a different racquet that inherits some of the Clash DNA like the Blade did.
This makes the V2 a worse racquet? No! The V2 is an awesome racquet and will appeal more to those who declined the V1.
I must say I'm torn...I still don't know which one I like best. The main differences are in feel, in string bed behavior. I think I'm able to shape the ball better on the V1 and also feel more connected on the backhand side. On the other hand, the plow and my better serves with the V2 call for a switch. The V2 is already my main racquet in doubles but in singles I'm torn. Aesthetically, Wilson nailed it on the V2...just fantastic!

Just heavier version of regular clashThe other reviews are correct in saying that this is basically just a heavier version of the regular clash. It does provide a lot of stability which is exactly what I am looking for in a heavy racquet. However, it doesn't give you more control than the regular clash. Still very arm friendly which is good. Not sure why they made this 16X20 while the regular is 16X19.
Power and ControlI have had the racquet over a month now and very happy with it. I am a 4.5 player and like the increased power and control from my previous Prince racquet.

Easy on the arm, balance of power & controlI'm an intermediate player (3.5) with a tendency towards tennis elbow. I mostly play doubles and have been very happy with this racquet at the baseline, service line and net. Good all around doubles racquet
Great Update to the OriginalIf you liked the original, give this a try because it does everything the first version does but better. Comfort is still there. It’s slightly stiffer but in a good way because there’s better control and more predictability. The trajectory is a little lower which is exactly what I was missing from the v1. Love the update. Quality control is still Wilson’s biggest issue but it’s still a 5 star frame.
Excellent frameI think this racquet played well in the hand of a 5.5. Very consistent at serve. Great groundstrokes, certainly is a super racquet. I had been playing with the Babolat Pure Drive 2015 for a long time. I am happy with this one.
Shame this racquet is being softened up in V3I take this racquet with confidence into 4.0 matches. With a flatter launch and descent angle this racquet requires 3-4 more pounds tension than regular Clash. At 54 pounds hard to miss and has great directional control and put away power. The 16x20 pattern is a winner as with the Wilson Shift. I like the lowering of weight to 305 grams in the V3 but not the increase in flex. Buy this on sale before gone. Amazing power stability and accuracy on ground strokes. Power on serves and returns

Fantastic UpdateI loved the Clash Pro. The Clash V2 Pro brought the additional control I was looking for with out sacrificing anything I already loved about the original. Can't speak to the other Clash V2 variants. That said the Pro to Pro update was a flawless update, for me at least.
InconsistantRacquet is soft, arm friendly.
However very much inconsistent across the string bed, if you catch the ball near the tip , or swing harder racquet flexes a lot and ball sails long.
Every shot need to be it at constant swing speed and catch the ball within sweet spot, ay aggressive shot making can result in inconsistent results.
