Overview

Introducing Power Fiber Pro! With this string Volkl creates a more durable and controlled version of Power Fiber II, one of the game's most comfortable multifilaments. Like Power Fiber II, this string deploys an army of flexible filaments to absorb greater shock and vibration at impact. As a result it is perfect for the player who wants an arm-friendly string. For this version of Power Fiber, Volkl uses bigger filaments made from a firmer polymer. The result is MORE CONTROL, making it easier for you to swing bigger when adding pace and spin to your shots. The added control also helps when selecting ambitious targets or trying to close out a point. All in all, this is a great option for the player who wants a comfortable multifilament string with above average control for the breed.

Amazing crossPaired with Cyclone 18 gauge in the mains this combo is a power beast with control! 55/53lbs. In my second generation Pure Strike 18x20.

Comments: Picked this up at BNP (Oct 2021) wanting to try more of the control multi's with polyester features. Played with it for two weeks. I strung it at 52lbs. Great on groundstrokes. Forehand was able to take full cuts from either approach or baseline. Gripping the ball for topspin seemed average. Backhand no adjustments during my swing to control ball flight from a Pure Drive. Loved it on serves. Got good movement on my spin serves. Volleys actually were deeper. But I like my other multi's for return of serve. My 4.0 level of play with a topspin forehand, one handed backhand, and spin serves (slice, kick) worked well. I'll try the 18G version next. Its one of my top 3 multi's. Let me just say, I thinks its way better than the Tecnifibre Triax 17G, especially on serve, backhand, tension consistency, and price.

Comments: Compared to Power Fiber II, this is a very stiff-feeling string. I tried it as a cross string at 39lbs paired with Wilson NXT Power at 33 lbs on the mains. This is the same setup I usually use with Power Fiber II in a Wilson Ultra 100. While it felt good when I was at the net, it was not so nice from the baseline.

Comments: Volkl Power Fiber Pro is a crisp multifilament and I used this as a main string with MSV Focus Hex in the crosses. The string absorbs shock very well surprisingly compared to Prince Premier Control. It's a bit more powerful than the Prince string, I like the feel better, but the spin isn't as great compared to the Prince.

Comments: I found this to be a pretty good string. I played with the 17 ga. in a Volkl V sense3. Generally I play with Klip gut in the mains and a good synthetic in the crosses, strung at the low end of the recommended range. I found this string to be nearly as soft as the gut but a little more crisp while providing a bit greater spin. Compared to other multi filament strings I noticed a firmer feel with greater spin than Wilson NXT and X one Biphase (both fine strings). The string provided excellent feel on touch shots like volleys and drop shots. I am a feel player and not a banger with heavy topspin . Those looking for a multi filament string with a bit more firmness and spin, to the older more known multis, may try this string. It is definitely reasonably priced and I suggest giving it a try. I have played tennis for over 40 years and play in seniors, having a strong sectional ranking.
