Big hitters looking for maximum control will love this one

As one of the firmest options in Toroline's string family, O-Toro Tour has phenomenal control. The low-powered response and ultra-predictable trajectory will enable you to take massive cuts at the ball when loading your shots with pace and spin. It also features a six-sided shape and low-friction surface, giving it impressive bite and snapback (think spin)! Ultimately, O-Toro Tour is ideal for experienced players who prefer direct ball feedback and surgical precision.

  • Gauge: 17/1.23
  • Length: 40ft/12m
  • Composition: Co-polyester monofilament
  • Color: Green, Teal

Pretty goodWas skeptical at first but after a few sessions I was a fan. As someone said, this thing plays like a round poly with control, spin, and good power once settled in. Took an hour or so to break in really but it’s like butter with good pocketing and comfort afterwards. Strung at 44 lbs in a Sx tour Dunlop. Plays much better than the original o toro and love the colors. May be string to go to now over the traditional rounds I’m accustomed to.

Big controlI am a big hitter. The one thing I have is that my control is terrible. I was using o toro and o toro snap before this but I switched it for these reasons. The o toro hybrid launches the ball like crazy. Crazy power spin but no control. So I switched to this string. I could hit the ball as hard as I wanted and the spin was crazy. The snap back on this string is just as good as o toro and o toro snap. I put this in a percept 100 and it was perfect. My only thing is that I wish it was stiffer for more control and durability.

4.8...Just wanted to note that this string has a 4.8 rating on this platform solely because Lou from Utah gave it a 3/5 rating because he "have not got my racquets back from my stringer yet..."

A shaped v2 poly w/ feel, comfort, durabilityI’ve been playing a full bed of 17g O-TORO Tour in my 2025 Ezone 98 for the past six months, and I’m ecstatic to say my string quest has finally ended. For me, personally, this is the holy grail: a shaped “2.0 poly” with the feel, comfort, and durability of a round poly, but with the bite and aggression of a more traditional spin string. In my mind, it’s like RPM Blast and Yonex PolyTour Pro had a baby that retained the best qualities of each parent. That said, the 2025 Ezone 98 is a very muted frame with a good amount of throat flex, so I can’t speak definitively to how this string would feel in a stiffer, livelier racquet. All I can report is that, paired with this frame, a full bed plays like a dream—both crisp and comfortable, lively yet controlled, with plenty of pop and bite. Even more impressive, it’s durable and retains both tension and playability surprisingly well. Depending on how much I’m serving, it’s not uncommon for the 17g to last beyond the 10-hour mark before breaking. Based on my experience with the Ezone 98, I feel confident this string would also excel in frames like the Shift, Clash, Boom, VCore, and other similarly muted racquets. And frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it performed beautifully in slightly stiffer frames as well, such as the Aero or T-Fight. In short, it’s a holy-grail pairing with my Ezone 98 and, in that context, it vastly outperforms many of the more established spin strings of years past. Highly recommended. (For reference: I’m in my mid-forties, have been playing steadily for 30+ years, and hover somewhere in the wide gap between 4.5 and 5.0 USTA.)

Extreme spin and controlOne of the best strings on market, it has loads of spin and control. I strung at 53 pounds in my Head Boom racquet. I can confidently have a full swing from service line and still expect it to land in the court. Would recommend this string

Firm yet comfortableI strung up O-Toro Tour at 50lbs in a Wilson Shift 99 V1. It initially felt a little too stiff, but once it settled in it was fine. I would probably go with a lower tension if I try it again. It has a little less power and somewhat more control than other Toroline strings I tried. While it might be the firmest string in the Toroline lineup, it doesn't seem to be as firm as Luxilon 4G, Tecnifibre Ice Code, or Red Code. This isn't my favorite Toroline string at the moment, but it's still very good. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a control string.
