Prince revitalizes their flagship shoe by making it faster and more supportive! The T22.5 features an upper designed with layers of support as well as extra flex allowing it to weigh less than the original and breathe even better. The traditional cushioning T22 players have come to know and love remains intact for a plush underfoot feel. Durability continues to be a standout feature and the tacky outsole comes with a 6-month outsole durability guarantee. Players of all levels can take advantage of the subtle updates to modernize this classic court shoe.

  • Upper: Breathable layers offer more support, flexibility and breathability compared to the original T22.
  • Midsole: EVA Midsole with ShockEraser heel insert absorbs shock while SoftSpring PU forefoot insert disperses shock to enhance comfort
  • Outsole: PRC 1000 durable outsole compound in a herringbone tread pattern provides durable traction on all surfaces. Features a six-month outsole durability guarantee.

Lack qualityI spent about ten years wearing the T22 Prince shoe. The last pair I had directly from my Prince rep only wore out on the soles and lasted me a good year. I bought these in December ‘23 and they've already come apart on the front sides… and it's the end of March ‘24.

Stability, comfortableI’ve been wearing this Prince shoe and Prince's previous models for 15 plus years. It is the most supportive shoe I’ve ever worn. I don’t know how they combine support and longevity together. This shoe is also very comfortable. At the end of a day teaching, this shoe feels as good as the first day after I bought them. Did I mention there is no break-in period? I think the manufacturing process has changed over the years. Even then, Prince continues to make high quality tennis products, the T 22.5 being one of them!

Depends on what you likeI've worn this model of Prince shoes for years. Two pairs per year. My feet feel secure, stable, and protected. The shoes protect me from ankle injuries. On the downside, some might find them heavy.

My favorite tennis shoeI used to wear the T22 and bought the T22.5's when the T22 was no longer available. I think the T22.5 is an upgrade as the shoe feels lighter and I feel like I move quicker in the T22.5's. I like them so much I bought both the black and the white versions. I've tried other brands, but I keep coming back to Prince.

Comfortable, fits wellLiked this shoe which I had originally bought a few years ago, but the sole has worn down by now. I bought two new pairs since when you find a shoe that fits well, you never know if it will change.

Unmatched Stability & Now LighterI’ve worn these now for over 5 years (approx. 8 pairs) and usually wear them out in 5 months, send them in and get the new warranty pair. While I believe the T22s to be a bit more stable, the T22.5s provide excellent stability and are noticeably lighter. I spend many hours/week on court and I need a shoe that will remain stable through all the quick stops, starts and cuts. The shoe also ventilates well in the hot summer months. I will continue to order them as long as TW offers them on the website. It’s a great shoe at a fair price.

T 22.5T22 has been my medium width fit footwear for years. T22.5 is good slightly lighter weight, durable new alternative. Some T22’s had a loose front inside toe seam/stitching that splits in time, but otherwise very durable.

durable supportThese shoes have a solid support and a long lasting sole that's tough to wear out. That being said, if you need something light that breaks in quickly, these are not for you. However, once I break them in they are excellent. I'm over 6 foot and 195 lbs., so I need something more robust like these Prince T22.5's. I've been wearing Prince shoes for years, and I'm never disappointing and feel like these shoes prevent any jarring or twisting that lighter brands tend to do.

Love it and so disappointedI've worn T22s for years and love them. They are durable, comfortable, and provide the ankle support I much appreciate. When TW had these shoes on sale, I immediately ordered the T22.5 and another pair of T22s. The excitement immediately vanished when I tried on the shoes. Too short and too narrow in the toe box area. Because I read the reviews before ordering, I ordered up a half-size. Still didn't work. My recommendation is to order up a half size and order these shoes only if you have a very narrow foot. Have no idea what happened to Prince and these shoes--thinking they changed manufacturer. Too bad.

T-22.5I've been wearing the T-22s for years now...The original T-22s were very durable and I like the strap on the outside of the shoe that gives lateral support, plus the width is good for wider feet....I tried the T-22.5s, black and the green/white...the newer version is a little bit lighter of a shoe which is fine, but the problem I'm having is that the outer side of the shoe is tearing right wear my pinky-toe is positioned...The lateral movement is putting pressure at that one point of the shoe, and on both shoes the same stress point on the outer lateral side has a tear hole...This never happened with the original T-22s...If the outer-lateral strap was moved more towards the toe-box where the pinky-toe is located that might add better support and reduce the tearing on that outer edge of the toe-box...I love the T-22s and I really like the T-22.5s as well, but the new version is not as durable...Maybe my foot is too wide...I would appreciate some feed-back from your designers to see if this problem can be re-designed for longer durability...THX

Solo, durable tennis shoesI’ve been buying over and over these shoes for many years now. First session they feel a little stiff on your feet, later they become very sturdy with good support until the end. They last a lot, I play mainly in hard courts.

Hard on my anklesI bought the past version of this shoe and it was great. This one is giving me a hard time in my ankles they support is so hard and away for my he ground. Doesn't look good. I have tournament this weekend and won't be playing e them .I'll be using my old shoes. Not cool. I prob should return them.

Great productI like the shoes. Besides all general good stuff I particularly like the look and have felt the solid support when I run on the tennis court. I feel the size is little smaller than usual so it is a bit tight comparing the same size of other brands and products.

Too narrow up frontLovely looking shoe and felt great on court initially. But ended up giving it to my wife who has narrower feet. These are too narrow up front, much more so than the regular 22s, and my feet simply would not fit up front without rubbing on the sides.

Solid Tennis ShoeI purchased these shoes for tennis because I have a wide foot. The shoe is comfortable and my foot fits in the wide foot bed well. They are comfortable, particularly when considering all the lateral movement that takes place while playing tennis. This is my third pair of these shoes and I find them to work well particularly for the price.

Stable, comfortable, reliable tennis shoesThis is my second or third pair of the T22.5 I know I can put them on out of the box and just start playing. Instantly my foot feels the support and stability of the shoe. No break in period and I am feeling sure footed and confident. My foot feels protected in the shoe and the shoe does not feel bulky.

Sturdier version of the T22 LiteI’d been wearing the T22 Lites for the past few years but switched to these when the Lites were not available. These are very similar, but beefed up. More supportive and better durability. They definitely require more break-in time, and aren’t quite as cool and ventilated as the Lites, but I’ll take that for the extra support. I just bought my second pair and won’t go back to the Lites.

Great shoeI enjoy the sole Warranty, nice design, and playability of shoes. I recommend the Prince T22.5 over the T22 for my feet. The T22 pinched my left side pinky bone and would get sore after 30 minutes of doubles play. The T22 also wasn't as ergonomic to tie the shoes. The T22.5 improved this. However, I noticed that breathability in this shoe seems extra sweaty in 80+ degree weather. I didn't need any time to break them in. My prior shoe of choice was the Babolat Propulse Furry.

Well madeThe shoe seems very well made. It is sturdy but perhaps slightly on the heavier side. I bought them on sale and only wore them around the house. The sole seems very supportive. I keep three pairs of shoes in my rotation and haven’t worn these on the courts yet. At the sale price these seemed an insane value.

Vamp too tall - Will Return ThemNice looking shoes. My first ever Prince T22s. I've got average/medium-width size-10 feet. There's too much room above my toes. I'm sure it would cause the material to crease and irritate the contact area. I'm going to return the shoes. I've worn all Asics Resolutions, adidas Barricades, and New Balance 900 (and 1000 series several years ago) models from 2 years ago and before. They all fit me great! These shoes have a taller vamp than Asics Speed FF, which too are tall and annoyingly squish when toes are bent.

T-22.5I was prepared to break this shoe in before playing in them. Didn't need to, good right out of the box for me. It is a firm shoe, but for me that's a good thing. It absorbs torque instead of having my feet take a pounding. Good service from TW as well. Appreciate their return policy.

Prince T22.5 ShoesI've worn the T22 shoes by Prince for around 20 years because they fit me better than any other shoes. I recently tried the T22.5 version and I must say it will be my choice going forward. The T22.5 is lighter and significantly more flexible in the uppers, yet offers excellent support and cushioning. I am very happy with the upgrade!

Still the best shoe! The Prince 22.5 is even better than the 22. It provides the maximum amount of stability in all directions, yet the shoe feels slightly lighter. I wear my shoes out in approx. 5 months, so the 6 month guarantee replacement is a nice bonus. TW has never failed me in providing the utmost in customer service and response. They have no equal as far as I'm concerned, and I will continue to buy all my tennis gear from them, thanks TW!

Owner - TenniservicesI used to wear Prince all the time, way back when...then they sort of disappeared for many years. So, I used Head, Nike, Wilson, etc. They were all ok for me, actually all good shoes, but pricier than Prince (like now $140 or so). Then I found Tennis Warehouse and have now gotten my second pair of T22.5's. As well as provided my customers with them. All seem happy. They are a good value. I play frequently (about 3x+/wk) and they have lasted well (over 6 months). They fit me perfectly and are very comfortable right out of the box - no break-in req'd.

Still the best..T 22 and 22.5Still the best on the market for durability and especially support. I use them for both platform tennis (very aggressive surface) and hard court tennis. They were recently out of stock for a few months so reluctantly purchased another brand and immediately started to have leg, foot and achilles issues. Prince shoes finally arrived and all those issues are gone.

Favorite ShoeI'm a shoe junky. I've tried Yonex, Wilson, Lotto, ASICS, K-Swiss, New Balance, Head and others I've long since forgotten. I tried the Prince T22.5 and am close to getting my 3d pair. I love this shoe. It's perfect for my needs. I do wear custom orthotics in lieu of the provided insert, and I therefore bump the size up from 11 1/2 to a 12. I had my feet professionally measured and was told I should be in a EE shoe. Tried that with New Balance… few make a EE shoe, but that didn't work for me… too much play, foot not locked in place. The Prince T22.5 fit like a glove, foot locked in place. Had less fear of rolling my ankle as occurred with other shoes. I agree with those who say it needs a bit of break in time… come on, what shoe doesn't! It wears good, doesn't feel heavy, though it certainly not a light shoe. I also like the classic look. Anyway, my search ended with the T22.5.

Great shoesAt first they felt very hard and I was close to returning. But as I played in them, I really felt like the shoes molded to my feet. It was a great combination. I am ordering my second pair.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Horrible alternative to the T22. Prince needs to stick with what works and forget about these alternatives (T10, T22 lite, T22.5). I guess the .5 stands for it being 1/2 as good as the original. I'm at least happy to see that the original T22s will be available again starting in March.
From: Ron, McKinney, TX , 1/11/22

Comments: Bottom line: these run narrower than the T22. I actually measured the width of the rubber sole across the ball of the foot, and for size 13 shoes the T22.5 is more than 1/2-inch narrower than the T22. So these didn't work for me. I've worn the T22 for years. I'm a big guy - 6'4" and 250-lb - and the support given by the T22 is a good tradeoff for me vs the weight. But, my son has the lighter T22.5, and loves them. The T22 was out of stock, so decided to try the T22.5. But, as I stated, the sole looks the same but is actually narrower, and they didn't work.
From: Mark, Huntington Beach, CA, 1/7/22

Comments: I have worn Prince T22s for a long time. I have really liked the T22 and the Lites. I was hopeful for these. I have always appreciated the comfort of the Prince line of shoes. These are a bad departure from the past shoes. Very stiff and slightly more narrow then previous options. These shoes honestly hurt my feet. I have been trying some various insoles to offset the problem, but no luck so far.
From: Jeff, NC, 11/22/21

Comments: Best tennis shoe I've worn so far. Light, good ankle support, long lasting (6 months so far).

Comments: I was very disappointed in these shoes. I've usually worn prince shoes and found them very comfortable. These are not.
From: Walker, Hayesville 7/21/21

Comments: I have worn T22 shoes for years and loved them. The T24 "upgrades" were a short-lived failure, and the T22.5 seems to be on the same trajectory. They are much narrower and hurt my feet so bad, that I returned them before ever wearing them on the court. I will be switching to a different brand.
From: Jerry, 6/6/21Bakersfeield, CA

Comments: Also disappointed. The ankle support was thin and too rigid, developed ankle pain and bruising after years of glee in the T22. They were unwearable.
From: herb chicago, 5/16/21 Illinois

Comments: I agree with the previous reviews. I've worn the T22 for years and loved them. I thought I'd try this version and what a disappointment they are. They feel like a very cheap version of the old model. I ordered the same size I use for the T22 and these are too wide and have to be laced very tightly. The material is cheap and has a plastic feel. Today, trying to tighten the laces they completely came apart and frayed. These are a joke.
From: Jack, 5/10/21

Comments: I've been wearing T22 shoes for 10 years, switching to the T22 Lite shoes a couple of years ago. Just tried the T22.5 for the first time. Loved the T22 shoes and the T22 Lite shoes even more. This new version, T22.5 pales in comparison. One and done for me on the T22.5 shoes. Please go back to the others Prince Corporation.
From: Stewart, 4/23/21

Comments: I have to agree with most of the comments. I have used the T22 forever and wanted to try this version. Really don't like them. They do feel like plastic shoes. Not a fan of this version. I'll go back to the original T22 shoes right away.
From: Jim, 4/23/21

Comments: I've used Prince T22 for a few years now and always bragged about how comfortable they were. These feel like hard plastic shoes opposed to something as comfortable as my previous pairs of Prince shoes. I was excited for this Lite version, but after a few plays I'll be going back to the previous model for my next purchase.
From: Lauren, 2/7/21

Comments: I used the previous model T22 and loved them; this updated model, not so much. First in the size description it says true to fit, not really. I ordered my normal size and they were tight when I put them on and thought they would break in, they haven't. On quick stops my toes feel like they are being smashed, the shoes are way too small. Back to Asics.
From: Tim, 1/27/21

Comments: Just bought these new T22.5 shoes and used once. This model is a failure as compared to the T22 shoes in my opinion, I bought at least seven pairs of T22 shoes before. Very stiff and uncomfortable.
From: Albert, 1/22/21

Comments: I usually play with adidas or KSwiss tennis shoes, but I love the look of these black and yellow Prince shoes, so I decided to grab a pair and check them out. I played in a match today and they were the best tennis shoes I've ever worn. The cushioning is noticeably more plush than any other shoes. Not a thin sole, but a thick, stable, durable outsole. I usually wear through my outsoles quickly on hard courts, but now I know why these have a six month outsole guarantee. The outsole is thick, solid, and seems like it will outlast any other tennis shoes I've worn. I wear a size 10.5 and they fit perfectly. My feet didn't slide in these shoes. Felt stable side to side and front to back. It actually hugged my foot like a custom fit. It's also nice that they included two pairs of laces, black or yellow, to choose from, which was a nice touch. I have never worn the T22 shoes and it seems from reviews these have a lighter material on top, but there is no need for anything heavier to keep the feet in place, it's just the right amount of stability and breathability. There might be lighter shoes out there, but I wouldn't want anything at all to change on these shoes. 10 out of 10. I am an aggressive serve and volleyer in my 40's.
From: Ryan, 12/27/20

Comments: Love the old T22 shoes. Couldn't wear the T22 Lite because the shoes' lasts were very different from the regular T22, much narrower. But my teenage son loved the T22 Lites. Well, this new T22.5 is an updated T22 Lite with regards to fit; appears to be nearly identical to the T22 Lite, in fact, with updated materials. So, it turned out to be too narrow for me, and I'm returning them, but keeping the pair for my son. Toe protection for the T22.5 looks superior to the T22 Lite, and that was a problem spot for my son, with the toe wearing through before the sole. But I can't confirm that yet because he hasn't played in them yet. So if you liked the T22 Lite, this T22.5 should make you happy.
