Great tennis shoesI love these tennis shoes. Good support and leather is very durable.

Not up to standardNew Balance is my preferred athletic shoe for quality and comfort, so I purchased these. However, this shoe is not up to my expectations and previous experience. The toe box and body is unusually small. I wear a women's size 9 US but the shoe feels like a size 8.
Best tennis shoe for stability, etc.I first got these when suffering from plantar and they were recommended. Thank goodness NB keeps making them as I'm nervous about trying any others.
Disappointed with second pairLoved my first pair. Great support and traction playing outdoors. Just purchased a new pair and they aren't the same as my 2-year old pair. Totally different fit. Narrow and stiff.

Comments: I needed a sneaker with a wide toe box since Prince changed their T22 design. It takes a bit to break them in, so be prepared. I had the sneakers on for a half hour in my home and my heel started to hurt. I pulled out the insole and I was shocked, no support, ridiculously thin. I replaced the insole with something I had on hand, and it made such a difference. So while the outer shoe is sturdy and the sneakers will work once they are broken in, be prepared to purchase a separate support insole. Otherwise, don't bother.

Comments: If you're one of the people (as I am) who needs a very "stable" (ie, not very flexible) shoe, this is it.Nice large toe box. Accomodates orthotics well.

Comments: I have worn the 806s for about 2 years now.While I don't think these shoes rank high in terms of being stylish, I am very pleased with the performance and support of the these shoes.Fast on the court and corrected the hip pain I was experiencing with other shoes that had less support.

Comments: I like New Balance and have been wearing them for a long time. But I do not like this model. Disappointed in this one because there was not enough flex in the shoe and it was not as comfortable as other models. Not worth the price. If I am going to spend the money, I will pick another model or brand.

Comments: Playing tennis, even walking in my new 806s is like wearing ridged shoeboxes on my feet. The shoes are so stiff, inflexible and hard. They are in no way like my old worn out 804s, so I'm frustrated with that! Very expensive mistake!

Comments: I'm back to say these shoes are absolutely fantastic. They're less bulky than previous 800s, but still wide enough even in the toe box for my slightly wide, slightly flat, slightly pronated feet. More glove-like in fit and a lower ride, but they feel true to size and fast on the court. So happy -- I'm ordering an extra pair right now!

Comments: I just loved the New Balance 804s. I wear full sports orthotics and they fit great. Purchased the 806 as the 804 is no longer available. Very disappointed in these. I find the side to side stability very poor. I have rolled my ankle a few times and do not feel very secure. Returned them for a different size and still have the same issue. Not sure what shoe to try.

Comments:New Balance's 800 series used to be my all-out favorite for "smooth ride" stability sneakers. They lost me a couple of generations ago, but I just heard from a friend that the 806s are every bit as good as the 803s. Have to try them.
