One of the lightest and most comfortable performance shoes on the market, now features added support, a more padded tongue, and increased lock-down.

One of the most comfortable and speedy high-performance shoes on the market, the Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 7 Clay carries on the legacy but improves upon the support and stability of past generations. For a more locked-in feel around the ankles, Mizuno has enhanced the lacing on the upper eyelets, and the tongue extends higher up on top of the foot; two key areas where Mizuno received feedback and made the fix. The cushioning remains plush, but now has more energy return with Enerzy NXT concentrated at the ball of the foot and heel; Enerzy XP is added to the insole for even more padding. Mizuno engineered the DX Rubber compound as their strongest and most wear resistant to date, formed into a full herringbone pattern for traction on clay courts

  • Upper: 3-D Solid material for a soft feel and flexibility, with durability and breathability. Tongue and eyelets are extended higher up on the foot for increased support and lock-down.
  • Midsole: Enerzy NXT next generation of midsole material for maximum energy return and cushioning. PoWnCe offer lightweight, and responsive cushioning. D-Flex Groove enables greater flexibility for pivots and turns. Updated Mizuno Wave plate for increased lateral stability and adds energy as you push off.
  • Outsole: DX Rubber outsole is the most wear resistant rubber that Mizuno has designed. Outsole is formed into a full herringbone pattern for maximum grip on clay courts.
  • Color: White / Dazzle Blue

Excellent for low volumeI have low volume, flat feet and for me these fit like nothing else. Usually I need to cinch down like crazy or add extra padding to the tongue, each of which causes it's own problems/annoyances, but these are just easy. I don't have wide or narrow feet, but I will say the forefoot is noticeably generous/anatomical without excessive tapering around the toes, so they are not achieving low volume through narrowing the footbed. Another blessing: the upper is plush, especially around the tip of the big toe where some shoes, like the otherwise excellent Diadora Fly 5, are rigid and create pressure for me at the tip of the nail. And lockdown has been great, even with the addition of an OTC orthotic (I tried the Curex AcePro low). A minor downside - the colorways are admittedly ugly. Overall, I am very grateful for these shoes. For reference re other shoes for flat, low volume feet: I like the K-Swiss Pinnacle, a much more rigid but very comfortable and supportive shoe, but the tongue is too thin and I have had to add material to prevent lace-bite and improve lockdown. Maybe my all time favorite is the first gen Asics Court FF, which was much comfier for mer prior to the addition of plastic cladding the upper. Asics is a go to for low volume in general, but these Mizuno's fit better for me than any in the current Asics line.

Simply the Best!I have played with the 5's and 6's as well as most flagship tennis shoes from each company the past 8 years. The Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 7's are currently the best tennis shoes on the market, and a noticeable improvement from the 6's. What makes these shoes the best? The first thing you will notice after trying them on is comfort. These shoes do not require any break in and will fit a wide variety of feet. I have many boney protrusions in each foot which can cause pain with many different brands, but I have no foot pain with these shoes. The shoes are very light, yet stable. The shoes wrap around your feet in such a way that they almost feel like an extension of your feet. The cushion is a nice blend of responsiveness and shock absorption. The cushion is very similar to the Asics Solution Speed FF 2's (The 3's are rocks and the 4's are only slightly better). Traction is excellent on hardcourts, and I assume durability is above average for a speed shoe since it has a 6-month warranty. The biggest difference between the 6's and the 7's is the tongue. While the 6's had one of the thinnest tongues imaginable, the 7's have a rather plush tongue which eliminates your shoelaces digging into the top of your foot. This was definitely a noticeable problem with the 6's and I am glad that Mizuno listened to customers and corrected it in the 7's. Overall, these are great shoes and I highly recommend them.

W shoesThese shoes are actually so nice. They feel really light on feet but still supportive, which I like a lot when moving quick on the court. They were comfortable pretty much right away and didn’t feel stiff like some court shoes do. The grip is really good too, and overall they just feel fast, stable, and clean. Definitely one of my favorite court shoes I’ve tried.

Best tennis shoe I’ve ever had. These shoes are amazing. I started with the Exceed 6 and now the 7s. The 6 month warranty is also a great deal. My son plays 6 days a week and wore his out a they honored the warranty painlessly. I play less and haven’t worn mine out.
