Overview
Inspired by the singular innovative genius of Rene Lacoste and carefully engineered by Tecnifibre, the Lacoste L20 delivers a comfortable and user-friendly hitting experience to the intermediate club level player. Featuring the familiar alligator logo in the shaft, this racquet is defined by its elegant detailing and iconic style. To help with comfort, the L20 features an updated version of the dampening system developed by Rene Lacoste. It also has an innovative string pattern, which has denser spacing in the center for control, and wider spacing at the edges for a more forgiving response.
From the baseline, the L20 delivers a seductive combination of speed, comfort and accuracy. Full swings find their mark without a fuss, and the easy acceleration translates seamlessly into power and spin. At net the L20 plays fast and crisp. Although it lacks the stability of an advanced player’s racquet, the light weight comes in handy on fast exchanges. The speed is also an asset on service returns where the L20 comes around fast to deliver easy targeting on full swings. Ultimately, the Lacoste L20 isn’t just a stylish accessory. This racquet will turn some heads with its speed and spin-friendly precision and is a great choice for the intermediate level player.

Pleasantly SurprisedI am currently playing with the HEAD Radical Graphene XT MP. Former 4.0 returning to the sport after 20 years, 54, fit, and play 3 to 4 times a week and play USTA Flex. Now that is out of the way let's review. I normally use a 4 1/2 grip so I had to build up the grip on this 4 3/8 with a heat shrink sleeve. This added a little weight as a result. Re-gripped it with Tourna grip and an overwrap. Strung at 55 lbs with TW syn gut. LOVED the feel of this racquet. Ground shots were deep, plenty of power and spin on both sides was sufficient. Even on a slice I had no issue. Volleys-this stick punches right through the ball with not a lot of effort. It is lighter so it is fast handling. The Lacoste L.20 uses your opponents pace with how stiff it is. Serves is where this really shined for me. My flat serve seemed to have a ton more pop to it. And my kick was spot on. Even my hitting partner stated how deep I was hitting with it. I had no intention of this being my number one racquet, as I bought it as a spare for my bag. After hitting today I ordered a second one. May get a third with how great the price is. All in all, this is indeed an intermediate level player's racquet. But don't let that shy you away from such a great deal. I would recommend this to any 3.0-4.0 level player who prefers a lighter weight racquet. If you are used to a heavier racquet this would not be a good choice. Oh, I do use a dampener in this racquet, the sound this makes when striking in the sweet spot with the dampener is a sweet "KNOCK" noise. Definitely know when you are hitting clean.
Lacoste L20 RacquetI always played with a 11.3oz tennis racquet and sometimes added lead tape in the 9&3 area. But as I'm getting older a lighter weight
racquet works out great for me! The Lacoste L20 is a well made racquet, plays great! and I was very surprised for a lighter racquet the depth I was getting on my shots. And the good thing about going lighter I can still add weight to my liking. But I enjoy playing with this racquet right out of the box!. I recommend to players looking for a lighter
fun racquet to play with. "Go out and win some matches"
