Head's Speed series for padel is more so catered towards power, despite them being teardrop-shaped frames. While the Speed Motion's racket geometry is quite balanced, the internals are skewed towards power, mainly from the higher 270 mm balance. With more weight in the head, the lighter weight of the Speed Motion at 355 grams helps the racket to be much more wieldable, making it a great option for intermediate to higher level players. Internally, Head's Control Foam improves stability and comfort throughout contact while also increasing dwell time. Additionally, Head's Auxetic 2.0 construction facilitates increased responsiveness, utilizing auxetic fibers that bend atypically to normal compression, getting wider where other materials would otherwise become compressed. Increasing comfort in the handle, Head's Soft Buttcap 2.0 technology makes for a softer impact sensation without sacrificing connection to the ball. The hitting surface is a proprietary blend of carbon and fiberglass, which offers good feel and spin sourced from the carbon fiber, and the fiberglass layer adds increased comfort and pocketing.
