Overview
Head delivers a slightly softer version of the original Hawk. This co-poly has Head's unique Crystal Core technology, featuring a pliable inner core surrounded by a firm outer shell. The result is a string that is firm enough to deliver exceptional control, but also muted enough to reduce the harshest vibrations. The low-powered response will allow big hitters to take huge cuts at the ball, a fact that bodes well for those who want to ratchet up the spin. W stringsI can feel the control improvement like the description of the product says. Its really hard to adjust to the lack of power so sometimes you'll hit the ball too short
Not my favoriteStrung at 50 lbs in my 2025 Gravity Pro. A good string but compared to my preferred TW P6 (same conditions), found the Head Hawk too muted. Offered good control but I did not get the same feed back or kick that I get from the P6. Certainly an excellent control option for a power racquet and/or one with a 16X19 string pattern. Have not tried it using a blended gut combination (not my style) but can imagine where it could be an perfect co-pilot.
Control, touch, arm friendlyOn the low end of spectrum for power which makes it a great string for full swing shots. Great control, very nice feel of the ball -- hence the “touch” name, medium firm. I do feel a little soreness for my recovering elbow but it's still comfortable for a poly. I gave it 4 stars because there are alternatives (like Mosquito Bite 1.18) that's cheaper and offers similar characteristics.

Comments: Low powered, almost to a fault. You need to take massive cuts. Ridiculous feel and precision, but if you lack good mechanics, and want get out of jail help, look elsewhere.
