Overview

Pre-strung with a synthetic gut for added convenience and value!

Head reintroduces the Graphene XT Speed MP. This modern player's racquet does not skimp on speed or precision. Although weighted for intermediates, this stick should also work well for the advanced player who is ready to switch to a faster, more maneuverable option. At 11.1 ounces, the Speed MP accelerates with ease and delivers impressive accuracy on full cuts. The open 16x19 string pattern puts a tight grip on the ball, making for easy topspin and slice. Thanks to Graphene XT in the shaft, Head is able to move extra mass to the grip and tip, giving the player easier access to power. From the baseline, this racquet's whippy feel and open 16x19 string pattern provide the ingredients for explosive cuts and big spin. The light weight and quick handling is ideal for hitting forehand winners on the run. In addition to being a great baseline stick, the Graphene XT Speed MP delivers solid performance at net. Our TW playtesters noted good stability for a light racquet along with enough pop to stick the ball deep. We also found that the maneuverability and lively feel translated into penetrating serves with plenty of action on kickers and slices. Best suited to intermediate through advanced players in search of a maneuverable player's racquet that delivers all the precision, spin and power needed for high level tennis. The great price is hard to resist!

Ex D1 playerAs many have pointed out, this is the closest you are going to get to Sinners' actual racquet. It has the same mold, technology, shared holes, and beam thickness. Of course, you will need to bring the weight up a bit, and I believe his specs are posted on various websites. Anyhow, the racquet is really good and offers a lot of feel, control, spin, and power. The quality is very good (I have four, and they all have the same weight, flex and swing weight). A bit harsh on the arm because of the feedback, as is expected. Recommend getting rid of the strings on the pre-strung version, and use Head Lynx Tour, 16 gauge at around 48 pounds. Stock form, it's a great intermediate racquet. With customization, it is definitely a player's stick.

Like a gloveI bought this version of the Speed Pro way back when, really liked it, it's beat up now, to be sure. And, those few iterations of the Speed Pro were top quality, each generation tight and crisp but different a bit (the red, black, white Speed MP-maybe 2016-may be the best) This MP version is great. Maybe it's old stock, maybe a reissue. In any case, lovely and I might like it know than the Pro, at this point For $109......I bought 2 and you should, too.

Can't really evaluate with provided stringsIs not doing itself any favors by prestringing this racquet with a cheap, obsolete multifilament. It's the opposite of what I normally use and I tried to use it just to be open minded, but I have given up and the racquet is now being restrung. Not enough spin, the ball flies, the tension is high and I feel some elbow discomfort (could be the racquet for all I know). I would have so much more enjoyed the custom stringing service on this like any other racquet I bought before.

Worth Every Penny!!!This racquet has completely transformed my game! Upgrading from a cheap Walmart racquet, I immediately noticed how much more spin I could generate—it’s night and day. The balance is spot on, and the feel in my hands is incredible. Every shot feels more controlled and powerful. I’m beyond happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to level up their tennis gear.

Great racquetEven though its 300g it feels very stable and has lots of spin. The only downside (for me) is the grip shape y more squared than the Speed Aux 1.0, I had to adapt to it. Beside that. Very happy with it. I got it more for collection than daily usage.

Head RacquetAs a parent, there’s nothing about tennis. A representative from the tennis warehouse went above and beyond to answer all my questions and set my daughter up with a very nice racquet for way cheaper than I expected. I’m really glad I didn’t just choose a random racquet on Amazon and just wing it.

So good I may buy anotherI play with the 2022 version and have demoed the 2024 and this one is a step up in controllable power and precision. I have confidence of directing the ball anywhere on the court. gives me freedom to go for my targets with spin of course. Easy to hit flat shots or give the ball vertical lift. Love the serve, I was getting lots of action on my ball. Forgiving at the net. It's like the opposite direction of the auxetic tech... I added lead tape to 3 and 9 and a thin leather grip. Head lynx tour at 52lbs. Im a 4.0 player

Head Graphene XT Speed MP Racquet2nd year player here, first new racquet I have purchased and I was very pleased at the quick shipping and seamless purchasing process at Tennis Warehouse. The racquet is light and the ball seems to come off my racquet with more speed and I seem to be able to doing the ball more easily. I will definitely purchase additional products in the future.

Hard to find racketI have been playing with the same racquet for many years. I do not abuse my racquets, so I get a long life from my racquets. I have looked for quite some time for my grip size, but had only found small grip sizes. I found my 4 1/2 grip size at Tennis Warehouse. YEA!

Hidden gemLike many, I purchased this racquet based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the likelihood that this racquet is very similar to Jannik Sinner’s actual racquet. I am happy to report that I am 100% pleased with my purchase. I have demoed numerous racquets including all of the major Head MP racquets including the 2024 Speed MP as well as many other brands (Babolat Pure Drive, Yonex Ezone, etc.) and I’m happy to report this racquet compares very favorably to any of the current top of the line racquets on the market that I’ve tested. It has solid power and spin but I don’t find it to be launchy as some 16x19’s can be. It’s a near perfect mix of power and spin and is very maneuverable with the 320 swingweight.

Sinner's mold - and capable of expert tennisThis is the old Graphene Touch Speed MP mold that Sinner uses (or very close to it). You can tell by the shared holes and the throat design. Will that make you play like Sinner ... no. But this is a very capable racquet, absolutely able to play expert-level tennis, and I like the fact that it doesn't have the 360+ and Auxetic tech that Head puts in its current models (and that jacks up the price). It has a very open string pattern, but not crazy open like the current models; this racquet's crosses are 258 mm in total first-to-last, whereas the current MP is 273 mm (a big difference). You won't "out hit" this frame; it has great spin, good feel, and proper responsiveness when hitting or returning 120 mph serves. The only thing I would change is that it's too light in static weight and swingweight, but I can and did change that with a little tungsten putty in the handle (it has the standard Head trapdoor, which makes this easy) and lead in the hoop. Definitely worth a try if you like open-pattern 16x19s.

Great racquetSo as you can tell from the stats, this one is WAY stiffer than the newer Speed MPs. That means bigger power, and it is VERY noticeable. However, the base swing weight is lower, but you can remedy that with some lead tape. The feel isn't quite what I want, but everything else about it is great. If you want a good racquet for an intermediate player and don't want to spend almost 300 dollars, this is one of the BEST options out there.

WOWI'm an ex D1 player. Extended the racquet by 1/4" and about four grams at 12 position. The racquet provides a raw feel that provides a lot of feedback. This is something that is lacking in the modern racquets, but is needed at higher levels. I purchased four of these for tournament play as there are indications that Sinner uses either this mold or the MP Touch. Both the XT and the Touch use shared holes, so the suspicion that Sinner is using this mold is highly possible. I think this is why this racquet is selling so well. If you want to use this racquet as an intermediate stick, then leave it in stock form. If you want to move up, this is a great racquet for customization. The only negative is that if you are suffering from arm problems, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great performance racketSurprisingly this racquet is rated for beginner to intermediate players and my son and I tried them accidentally and fell in love with out them. He’s a 4.5 ex division I player and myself a 5.0 former Davis Cup player for my country and ex tour player. Crisp feel on the groundstrokes and excellent control at the net. Love the 11.1 weight gives us enough drive through the ball. We definitely would recommend this frame for any high level player and change that rating to advance and above. Way to go Head for delivering yet another great frame at an affordable price.

Flat to SpinFor a player like myself, who hits more of a flat shot, with this racquet I was able to generate more spin and power than with my 7 year older Head Extreme racquet. I switched to 4 3/8 grip, which seemed to help me whip the racquet more.

Does everything well! Not too heavy, not too light. Medium power, really nice control. I also serve well with it. I string mine at 52 with ISO Cream and Gamma Glide. This frame is very good all around. Very pleased.

Great all-around racquetI’m an intermediate player just getting back into the sport. I used to use Wilson Pro Staff racquets but wanted to try a slightly lighter stick, came across these and picked up a pair. These racquets feel well balanced and felt comfortable controlling it at baseline and net. My serves felt solid too. The racquet came prestrung with what I’m assuming is Head synthetic gut at around 51-53lbs which I’ll probably switch out for something softer. Overall very please with these racquets.

Great for Advanced BeginnerI was using my daughter's 2017 version of same racquet when I began playing last September and fell in love. She purchased the 2022 version for me and it's perfect for advanced beginner status. Quick, light and I love the way it handles. No issues.

Good blend of control/spin/comfortI needed a back-up in case my usual racquet's strings broke during a tournament. I usually play with the 2020 Ezone 100 and figured these specs were close enough without breaking the bank. After cutting out the strings and replacing with hyper-g soft 16L at 50lbs, I found it to have less power, but more comfort, spin, and control. Baseline play and touch shots felt good, but my first serve wasn't as effective. However my 2nd serve kicked harder and I could stay in points longer with this racquet. Overall, I felt like I could be more aggressive without over hitting. Decided to buy another and use as my main stick for now. I haven't tried the other speed MP's but this one really surprised me. I'm a 4.0
