This plush and speedy racquet gets updated with Hy-Bor Technology for 2026.

Meet the 2026 Boom MP! Like the previous generation, this stick combines user-friendly speed with a plush and spin-friendly response. In addition to its flexible and arm-friendly beam, the Boom MP features a unique head shape, which creates a more forgiving contact zone in the upper hoop (think large sweetspot). On groundstrokes, the Boom MP's maneuverability shines, making it easy to scramble on defense or whip up heavy spin. The speed continues at net where this stick comes around extremely fast on reaction volleys while also delivering enough pop to finish points. For 2026, Head introduces a new material technology called Hy-Bor, which puts compression-resistant boron fibers in the shaft to create a more stable and connected feel through impact. Like the previous generation, this racquet uses Auxetic 2 in the yoke and handle to reduce vibration and improve the response. It also features Graphene Inside for greater stability and power. Ultimately, with incremental updates to the feel, the Boom MP continues to be one of the most comfortable and user-friendly options in its class.

Amazing racquet! This is one of the best racquets I have ever played with. It has a great combination of power and control. As a 53 year old I find it difficult to wield heavy racquets or ones with high swing weight. So this is perfect. Its specifications are also ideal for any type of player. More importantly it also allows you plenty of room to customize to suit your game. I just needed to add 2g of weight at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions to get a bit more swing weight. Also, the 6pts head light balance of this racquet is a brilliant idea specially for a MP version. Great job by HEAD and I hope they keep making this!

2026 Boom MP improves again over previous gen2026 Boom is the 3rd generation of the Boom MP. My favorite so far. Head have made some tweaks to the balance and swing dynamics of this model which provide an ever faster easier swing than the previous 2 generations. The weighted buttcap is gone on this model. Already fast swinging this model ups the ease of swing again, whilst maintaining a decent amount of plow through weight into the ball. Overall I find this is the best allrounder racquet in Heads massive range. Good for most intermediate club players and even top level juniors should like this. Has the scope to slightly lead up if want a little more heaviness, but then that takes away the super maneuverability if modified, so I leave mine stock. The Blue Ski colour is also an improvement on previous gens turquoise. Great swinging racquet, fast at the net for sniping volleys, can really get a fast arm whip action going on the serve for decent powered serves. Comfortable with a bit of flex felt in the frame, Hybor feel is very solid and no vibrations. String drill pattern has slightly tighter spacings on the crosses than before but is still quite opening providing good spin and comfort. Just a really good underrated frame that could be used by many different levels of player. The factory string feels way to stiff, so ive strung mine with Head Lynx main, Lynx Touch cross at 47lbs. Though any poly in mid to high 40s works great in this racquet.
