Great ShoeThis is one of the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I ever wore. I usually take an 11 shoe and these are true to size. My foot is also fairly wide - I usually take an EE width shoe for comfort. Many tennis shoes are way too narrow for me, and many of the "wide" labeled shoes are too wide. I used to wear ASICS shoes because they were a good width for me, but the soles would wear down so quickly I wanted to try something else. The last shoe I wore was a Roger Clubhouse Pro by ON. It was comfortable, but a little too wide in the toe box.
These Diadora Speed B.Icon 3 shoes are perfect size for my foot - not too wide and not too tight around my foot. In addition, they have a lot of padding in the sole - it feels bouncy when I wear them, but still very supportive in all directions, without feeling limiting. I have never worn this brand before and thought I would try it after watching video reviews on YouTube by a foot doctor who also plays tennis and cuts shoes in half for reviews.
I'm glad I tried these shoes because if the sole lasts at least 10 months, I will be sold on the brand, and especially this model!
Demise of once-great product lineI was a huge Speed B. Icon fan until they changed the last and/or the sizing. Now they are way too snug, in all facets. Went up a whole size, still doesn't fit. Shame because the originals were an incredibly stable and comfortable shoe.
Great shoe, terrible color for red claySizing wise - normally a 9.5 in Nike, had to go up to 10 in the Diadora. Shoe fits wider than most Nike shoes. Lock down was good. Feels lighter than posted weight. Purchased the clay version, but after seeing my other lighter colored shoes all ‘red’ after hitting on the clay, decided not worth the money. No idea why Diadora didn’t release the dark blue version with a clay sole? There really must be no real tennis players managing these tennis divisions.
Gracie DiadoraI have not tried these shoes but as a long time Diadora fan I’m glad they got rid of the experimental failure that was the laces side triangular hold in place gadget that never worked. I bought a pair of the previous version loved the fit but could never get the laces correct. Ultimately returned them for store credit
So far so goodI have yet to wear these on the court as my current shoe has a 6 month warranty that I am working towards. The Diadora doesn’t come with a warranty so I will get those on the court when the others wear through. Wearing them in the house the feel really nice, comfortable and stable.
Great shoe, better fitLoved the k stars and b icon 1st edition and my first pair of icon 2. It then seemed like the length got a 1/2 size small on the 2. These are amazing, great support and cushion. They aren’t the lightest but you don’t notice them playing which is the mark of a good shoe. Buy em now before they “improve” them again.
Solid SneakerFigured out the lacing system, not as tight in the toe box area and fits true to size opposed to the B.Icon 2 which ran snug.
They figured out the lacing systemI have owned multiple pairs of the Diadora B.icon 1 and 2. It has been a superb shoe for me as a larger (220 pounds, 6'2") player that plays 5 nights a week. I have loved the lateral support they provide. The only crux with the older versions was lace bunching up top with the lateral lacing support. The new version wipes all of that out! I've been playing with them for two weeks and have had no issues whatsoever with the lacing system, and the shoe is still that unbeatable support and quickness that I love. Took one session to break in, they are now very comfy. Can't wait to buy five more pairs.
