Designed to be the ultimate lightweight performance shoe, the Asics Solution Speed FF 3 provides a special blend of speed, stability, and comfort for players who run down every ball. Since the inception of the Solution Speed, comfort, lightness, and flexibility have been key elements of its design. With this 6th generation of the Solution Speed Asics re-engineers the Speedtruss system, which enhances flexibility and speed, while giving you stability to change directions with full force. The new uppers consist of woven mesh for a lighter and more comfortable feel, while also improving breathability. Also new for this update is Asics' Precision-Sole outsole made to grip the court when you need it to, and flex smoothly as you sprint all over the court!
- Upper: Engineered woven mesh for a lighter feel and improved comfort (previous version had more TPU). PGUARD technology protects toe-drag damage, and added protection on the medial side.
- Midsole: FLYTEFOAM cushioning is responsive comfortable. FLYTEFOAM PROPEL helps with heel to toe transition for a speedier feel when pushing off. Speedtruss improves flexibility, and helps stabilize feet during intense transitions.
- Outsole: High Abrasion Rubber with Precision-Sole technology. Innovative outsole design maximizes grip and flexibilty, but also allows hardcourt sliders to go full speed into stops for controlled, smooth braking.

Huge step backI was a huge fan of the previous Solution Speed FF2s and bought probably 5 or 6 pairs of them. I switched to these after those stopped being available - I can''t believe how much of a step back these are. They initially felt comfortably, but after just an hour of hitting developed blisters on the inside of each ankle where the top of the shoe meets the skin. It looks like they removed a layer of padding that the previous version had. Safe to say I am disappointed and will probably never be buying Asics shoes again. I don't know why these companies have to change a winning formula, but these shoes are a loser. Definitely skip these shoes.
The best shoes for meBeen buying the Solution Speed series from ASICS for the past 10 years. They make me feel light and agile around the court during play. I quit tennis a few years ago but now play pickleball with these shoes and they are fantastic. Quick starts, stops and turns around the court are a must in pickleball and these shoes excel in those facets. I highly recommend.

Fast, comfortable and great lookingNo break in needed for me. Fits like a glove right out of the box. The shoe feels very light but stable at the same time. It makes you want to keep moving your feet. It’s a bit expensive, but totally worth it if you can afford it.
Fast and light - great shoeVery comfortable and good support for a light, all purpose court shoe.
Asics Solution Speed FFMy go-to running shoe is Asics (Kayano) which translates to Asics as my preferred court shoe. After a couple months, the Solution Speed FF is my preferred court shoe. It has consistent sizing relative to the running series and I prefer the engineered mesh upper over the alternative uppers. They are cooler and flexible. Excellent foot bed and stability on both soft and hard courts.
light weight performance shoeThis shoe feels like a feather. The trade off is less support, so I choose to play matches in these shoes, but for practice opt for another pair with more support and cushion.
Light weight shoeI had a Gel Resolution pair, and while it had a comfortable fit and lots of support, it weighs 16.1oz. Felt heavy. The Solution Speed FF3 trades off the extra support and comfort for lower weight (11.8oz, 27% less). It feels much lighter and more nimble, and I have not felt a major difference in overall support yet. The only complaint I have is the tongue shifting to the side during play.
Light, fast, breathableI'm a mens USTA 4.5/UTR 7 and love these shoes for how fast and breathable they are. I think my willingness to put in a lot of fast short adjustment steps and also sprint long distances quickly has grown a lot in these. My only knocks on these shoes are that if you slide on hard courts (they're fine on clay) the laces will tear near the top of the shoe rather quickly and I also definitely got some bruises and callouses on my toes. I don't know if the second point is necessarily the shoe's fault as much as a byproduct of getting better at tennis but I think a more cushioned shoe would protect against that. Regardless, I think if you want to pursue quicker and more aggressive footwork then this is a great shoe!
Overall Happy With ThemAlmost every toe had blood under the nail. One nail came off. I was desperate for shoes that would protect my toes during forward hard start/stops toward the net. Together with Toe Bumper socks, these shoes seem to be helping prevent further injury. Shoes fit comfortable, and design for that type of motion seems to be effective. Using the top shoestring hole, I developed abrasions on the inside ankle region from the shoe, and had to leave the top string hole unused to alleviate. If not for that down part of shoe design, I would have rated a 5.
