The Tennis Feel Good Story You Need

Located in South Central Los Angeles, the Pete Brown Junior Tennis program is dedicated to enriching the lives of children by providing free tennis, mentoring, and education in a safe and positive environment. Marty Woods founded this program in 2009 in memory of his coach and mentor, Pete Brown. 2022 has been their best year yet! After receiving 1 of 3 grants from the Naomi Osaka Play Academy and had several players show loads of success and growth on and off the court, this year is surely one to celebrate. The program promotes junior tennis as a platform for character development, physical fitness and lifetime achievement with a focus on the importance of character, integrity, and sportsmanship — all ideals that were critically important to Mr. Pete Brown and his family; all pillars that continue to thrive with the help of an awesome, passionate team led by Anne and Marty!
