Overview
In celebration of its 40th year in business, Tecnifibre launches an instant classic. It's called the TF40 305 and it is perfect for intermediate and advanced players who want a classic racquet with seductive levels of control and feel. The signature technology integrates the flexibility of Tecnifibre's XTC material technology with a soft Dynacore braid. The result is extra touch, dwell time and pocketing. To further enhance comfort, the TF 40 305 comes with an Xtense BG grommet system, which help the strings absorb greater shock at impact. This racquet also features wider string channels on the outside of the frame, which makes for easier string installation. From the baseline, the TF40 305 rewards full swings with surgical targeting, and the feedback at impact is exceptional. Offering a slightly higher swingweight than the TF40 315, this stick has impressive stability for its weight class. With its thinner beam and dense string pattern, it's not as lively as members of the TFlash family, but it packs enough mass to get the ball moving effectively through the court. At net, the TF40 305 handles pace well for a sub 12 ounce racquet, and the touch is exceptional. On service returns this racquet feels solid on chips and blocks, and the high level of control will give you the confidence to stay aggressive. There are also some free points to be had on serve for the player who likes hitting flat bombs. All in all, with its impressive combination of control and feel, the TF40 305 is a great option for the experienced ball striker who wants a more classic player's racquet. The great feel is a nice bonus.
Note: There has been a slight cosmetic change to the racquet. There is no longer a silver ATP placard in the throat of the racquet. It has been replaced with the wording TecniLab. The finish also appears slightly more matte than the photos.
