The Pulse S sports a good mix between its 16.4” length-based power and a more compact overall shape for better control and connectedness to the ball. Fans of Pickleball Apes' other series will likely enjoy this hybrid shape in the Pulse S. The Narrow-cell Honeycomb Core gives good responsiveness and is surrounded by a double layer of foam walls before the edge of the paddle. These reinforced foam walls not only help expand the sweet spot of the paddle, but also increase overall comfort and boost solidity through your shot. All of these internals are then bound in by a triple-layer carbon fiber ring, which makes the paddle face more structurally sound and eliminates a break-in period. On the exterior, Pickleball Apes employs a Poly Aramid Fiber Weave hitting surface to create ample spin and extended longevity. The Pulse S averages a weight of 8.2-8.4 ounces, making it both accessible for everyone and a good platform for weighting up as well. The 16.5mm paddle thickness offers a great amount of control and stability. The factory-issued grip is Pickleball Apes’ “Leather Performance Grip” and is bound around a 5.5 inch handle length. Additionally, the Pulse S comes with its own paddle cover, helping to protect the paddle in transit.
