Prince Tour 100P 2026 Racquet Review
Summary
The Prince Tour 100P 2026 offers some incredible feel, highlighted by the racquet's stable nature and reliable spot-targeting. In addition to updating the internal Anti-Torque System, Prince implements an ISO-fiber layup designed to boost responsiveness and stability in key areas. While the mold hasn't changed from the previous version, there are other performance-enhancing design choices, like Prince's use of foam-filling in specific locations to improve the stability. Our team of testers was more than impressed by this update to an already strong frame in a renowned family. In particular, the TW playtesters praised the Tour 100P's easy playability and high-performing nature, and they reveled in this racquet's inherently good feel and predictable response. Additionally, the access to both topspin and slice proved better than anticipated from a racquet with an 18x20 string pattern. This update to a beloved classic is sure to delight both fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
- Excellent feel
- Great spin for an 18x20
- Very versatile
- A smidge underpowered on some shots

Breakdown
Groundstrokes: 9
Being on the receiving end of shots from the Prince Tour 100P 2026 proved to be formidable during this review. Each player on this racquet test felt comfortable swinging freely and hitting through the court. Kyla immediately felt at home with this racquet in hand, and she found a nice "Goldilocks" groove between control and power on all of her shots. She explained, "From the first hit, this racquet felt incredibly comfortable and natural for my game. It usually takes me a few sessions to adjust to a new racquet, but this Tour 100P felt easy to use right away. I found it very easy to generate racquet head speed and topspin, while still maintaining a strong balance between control and power. The Tour 100P 2026 felt extremely stable on contact and didn't get pushed around, yet it moved quickly through the air and stayed maneuverable from all areas of the court. I was able to hit my targets consistently, as well as play aggressively while still feeling confident in my control."
Despite the racquet's denser pattern and more control-focused experience, Jason could lean into his preferred playing style. He said, "I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this racquet. I typically shy away from 18x20 string patterns because I rely heavily (pun intended) on topspin in my game, but the Tour 100P 2026 still gave me great access to spin on my groundstrokes. Looking at my Zenniz data, I was getting slightly under 2000 RPMs on my forehand, which is more than what I got with the Head Speed MP or Mizuno Acrostrike racquets, and those racquets feature open string patterns. I felt like I could swing the Tour 100P 2026 pretty easily and hit some sharp angles to pull my opponents off the court."
Oak found this updated Tour 100P 2026 to be a vast improvement over previous iterations of the frame. He said, "The Tour 100P has always been a little bit of an anomaly to me. On paper, I should've always jelled with this racquet more than I have in the past, but I do feel like this update has fixed the majority of my qualms. Previously, the 100P always was hard for me in terms of stability, both torsionally and through the shot itself. This update feels much more stable, and I feel like I can finally get some mileage out of it. I like how 18x20 string patterns flatten out my loopier forehands, and this 100P 2026 did an excellent job with that. This racquet has great precision without sacrificing its power, and I felt like I could still whip through the ball comfortably."
As a longtime user of this particular model, Tiffani had a well-informed perspective for evaluating the 2026 updates to the Tour 100P. She said, "The Tour 100P has been my go-to racquet for about the past decade, so of course I'm always wanting to try the latest version. I'll just get it out of the way now and say that, yes, I'll be switching to the new version! Part of it is that I really like the updated glossy cosmetic, and I also like that the playability is very similar to the previous version. The biggest difference I noticed was in the feel, which was a tad cleaner and crisper, but not any stiffer or uncomfortable, and I could still sense good dwell time. Otherwise, this racquet excels in the things I like off the ground. There's access to spin when I need it, both topspin and slice, but I can still control my flatter shots. There's also some power to be had when needed, but for me it comes down to that added control I get and rely on when I get tight or start pressing. With my counterpunching style, I just want to feel like I can get just one more ball in to extend the point, and the Tour 100P 2026 delivers on that front."
Volleys: 8.8
At the net, the Tour 100P 2026 continued to impress with its stable nature, and it earned praise for its reliability and impressive directional control. Tiffani felt entirely comfortable volleying with this racquet, and she was able to mix up her shots at net to keep opponents on their toes. She explained, "This racquet enough stability and mobility at net to keep me feeling confident on volleys. I liked the directional control, and I could hit a variety of volleys. That's not to say I'm crafty up there, but I could drop balls short or punch my volleys deep."
For Oak, the 100P 2026 let him volley with authority. He noted, “The 100P 2026 continued to impress with its stable nature up at net. I felt like I could just stick the racquet out and let it do its thing, knowing that the 18x20 pattern would spot-target effectively for me. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, I ended up hitting a lot of deeper volleys with this racquet because the control just felt that good. I really enjoyed how connected to the ball I felt overall."
Jason's net game of late has been on the up, and the Tour 100P 2026 let him hit through his targets cleanly. He said, "I really like the new Iso-Fiber technology when I’m up at net. It gives the racquet a nice solid feel with plenty of feedback, but without feeling too stiff or harsh. I thought the racquet did a nice job absorbing pace, and I was liking the 'point and shoot' control I got on sitter volleys. The one slight downside for me was the lack of put-away power. I would drop the tension 2 pounds to make up for that lack of oomph."
Kyla volleyed incredibly well with the Tour 100P 2026, and she found a near-perfect blend of maneuverability and stability. She explained, “The Tour 100P 2026 felt quick, responsive and easy to position at the net. It offered a connected feel to the ball without being overly stiff or overly unstable, which gave me confidence to hit a variety of volleys. I felt comfortable hitting both deep, punch volleys and shorter, angled volleys. The stability really stood out during faster exchanges, but it still remained maneuverable enough to react quickly. Overall, it felt very solid and versatile at net."
Serves: 8.4
The Tour 100P 2026 continued to impress with its stable and precise nature on serve. For the most part, our playtesters felt comfortable going after their serves with this racquet in hand. Kyla found both her first and second serves to be highly dependable. She said, "Serving felt very reliable with this racquet. On first serves, I liked the combination of placement and controllable power, especially when going aggressively after spots. I didn't really have a particularly favorite serve to hit with this racquet, although I did hit a few aces up the T on the ad side. Second serves had good spin access and consistency, but I personally preferred how the racquet performed on flatter, more aggressive first serves. The Tour 100P 2026 felt stable through contact and easy to accelerate, which helped me stay aggressive without losing confidence in my placement."
After a short adjustment period, Jason was able to utilize the racquet's spin window to shape his serves well. He explained, "I did need a slight adjustment period on my serves with this racquet because I was netting a lot of my slice serves. I think the tighter string pattern lowered the launch angle for me. After a day or two, I felt like I was really dialing in my serves. I got really good control and I felt like I could really swing through the ball to get plenty of spin. It has less power than a Babolat Pure Aero 98 or a Yonex VCORE, but I thought the power was more than adequate for a more control-oriented racquet.”
As our resident Tour 100P expert, Tiffani easily settled in when it was her turn to start a point. She said, "I'm sure it doesn't hurt that I've used a version of this racquet for so long that I felt at home serving with it. I get into a good rhythm with it and can hit either flat or slice serves with ease. I'm not a power server, but I do find that my confidence to swing out helps me get pretty good power levels. I don't get as much net clearance as I did with the Tour 100 290g, but I can get just as much spin on my serves despite the tighter string pattern on the 100P."
Oak found good action on the ball, but he did struggle with consistency. He said, "I really wanted to like the Tour 100P 2026 on serve, but sadly, it just didn't really work for me in this area. I really struggled getting net clearance with my usual motion, and that made it very hard to trust. When I was getting the ball in, I was rewarded with potent kick serves and lots of spin on the whole. I just wish I didn't have to be quite as intentional when starting a point. My favorite serve happened to be up the T on ad side, which is a go-to spot for me more often than not regardless of the racquet I’m using."
Returns: 8.9
Our playtesters loved the stability and control they found when returning serves with the Tour 100P 2026. Oak thoroughly enjoyed redirecting pace off serves. He noted, "Returns were pretty solid for me. I felt like I had enough directional control to go after my spots, and I felt comfortable swinging out. There was good spin for shaping balls back down into the court, and I felt comfortable attacking both firsts and seconds. I thought there was decent maneuverability on the whole; I was maybe a little late at times but nothing too detrimental. This racquet is really solid and stable throughout contact."
Although she was aware of the heft of the racquet, Tiffani was able to both effectively attack and defend when returning. She said, "The swingweight of the Tour 100P 2026 is at the peak of what I'm comfortable with on returns. I could still swing out when given the time, but I needed to block or chip the hardest serves. I'm used to doing that already, so it was not a surprise here. I like that the Tour 100P 2026 offers enough stability for me to hit a block return and has enough plow through to get a pretty good offensive return when I can manage it."
Kyla enjoyed applying pressure from the get-go on her returns with the Tour 100P 2026. She explained, "This racquet felt fantastic on returns because it allowed me to play aggressively without feeling out of control. It handled pace very well when blocking back bigger serves, but it also felt fast enough to take full cuts on second serves. The balance of stability and maneuverability made it easy for me to get the racquet into position quickly, even against faster serves. I never felt rushed or late with it, and contact always felt solid and comfortable. Overall, I felt comfortable attacking returns while still being able to maintain consistency."
While he noted the racquet's lower-powered nature, Jason still felt confident going aggressive against most servers he faced. He said, "I felt like it was really hard for me to overhit with the Tour 100P 2026, which was great for my confidence when I tried to be aggressive. The slightly lower-powered response, combined with a surprisingly spin friendly 18x20 pattern, allowed me to swing out fully when attacking slower first serves or sitting second serves. However, against bigger servers, I did feel like the racquet lacked a bit of free pop."

Playtester Thoughts

Tiffani
The playability of the Tour 100P 2026 is very similar to the outgoing ATS Textreme version of the 100P. The feel was just a tad cleaner, and it felt like there was just a bit more power at times, although I think that the difference was close enough that it could be fine-tuned with string choice or tension. I would try the Tour 100P 2026 along with the Yonex VCORE 100D (for more pop and easier net clearance) or the Tecnifibre TF40 305g (16x19).
The transition from the ATS version to this Tour 100P 2026 felt seamless to me. I like the updated cosmetic, and I will be making the switch! This Tour 100P 2026 strikes a balance of power and control that fits my counterpunching style well, and probably most importantly, I feel like I can trust the racquet when I swing out in tight situations.
None really. If I want to get really picky, the base grip gets slick after use, but I usually use a tacky overgrip anyway.

Oak
The Tour 100P 2026 reminds me of a slightly more powerful TFight 305S with a tad less maneuverability. I have been really enjoying this new Tour line, but I think the Tour 98 is going to be the overall winner for me, with this 100P a fairly close second. We'd have a different story if it were better on serve for me.
I loved the spin I was getting on my forehand. I felt like I could really drive the ball and it would jump off the court after bouncing. Really great blend of power and feel.
My biggest knock for this particular racquet proved to be on serve. I just wanted that experience to be more seamless and easier to trust.

Kyla
The Tour 100P 2026 was honestly one of my favorite racquets I have ever playtested. It, along with the Blade 100 Pro, is the closest I have come to seriously considering switching away from my current racquet of choice. The Tour 100P 2026’s blend of control, comfort and stability feels very similar to my Tecnifibre TF40 305g (16x19), while also offering excellent maneuverability and responsiveness. Compared to the Wilson Blade 100 Pro, this racquet felt more comfortable on my arm while still offering a similar level of precision and control. Overall, it fit my game style extremely well and felt intuitive from the first session.
Excellent balance of control, comfort and stability. Easy access to spin and racquet head speed. Very versatile and effective in every court situation I encountered.
Power is slightly less free-flowing compared to more power-oriented racquets.

Jason
Comparing it to the previous Tour 100P from many years ago, the Tour 100P 2026 really brings back the feel and connection of the Tour 100P from many years ago. For me, it also has more power than a Wilson Blade 98 18x20 or a Babolat Pure Strike 18x20.
The feel from the Iso-Fiber technology is awesome! I’m also pleasantly surprised at how spin-friendly this 18x20 racquet really is.
Would've liked just a bit more free power on certain shots. But other than that, the Tour 100P 2026 is pretty dialed.
