5 Racquets to Try if You Like the RF97
If you play with the Wilson Pro Staff RF97 and are curious if there are other racquets that are similar (but different), check our list of our favorites. (Updated September 2020)
Why We Love the RF97 Autograph
One of the heaviest, most stable racquets on the market, the Pro Staff RF97 Autograph rewards players who can swing it with loads of plow through and control. The racquets on this list will deliver similar benefits to the RF97, but the nuances in feel make them feel and play slightly differently.
Yonex VCORE Pro 97 330

This racquet lines up very closely in terms of specs with the RF97 Autograph. Endorsed by another top Swiss player, Stan Wawrinka, the VCORE Pro 97 330 packs plenty of plow through and delivers controllable power. The feel is going to be different, of course, especially with the Yonex head shape.

Head Graphene 360+ Prestige Pro

The Prestige Pro has a slightly smaller head size than the RF97 Autograph, but it's not that noticeable when you're playing. This Head racquet is easier to swing, but it also delivers plentiful power, feel and stability. We're not the only ones who think this racquet is similar to the RF97 Autograph. A quick look at our customer feedback shows that other players agree.

Prince Phantom 93P (18x20)

Immediately three major spec differences will stand out with the Phantom 93P (18x20), and two are in the name. The Prince racquet dons an 18x20 string pattern in a 93-square-inch head size. It's also quite a bit more flexible. So why do we suggest it on this list? If you love the RF97 Autograph, you likely swing big, and this Phantom 93P lets you do that and do it with precision and feel.

Dunlop CX 200+

This CX 200+ has a lighter static weight, but it's also longer than standard length at 27.5 inches. What that does is boost up the swingweight and plow through, and it plays heavier than other racquets in its weight class. All that said, our playtesters have dreamed what the RF97 Autograph would play like if it were extended length, and this CX 200+ is what they imagine it would be.

Volkl C10 Pro

The C10 Pro is a classic that has stood the test of time. It delivers the plow through and control like the RF97 Autograph, but it has a more flexible feel and buttery response. There's also enough touch for hitting droppers or tricky angles.
