This arm-friendly player's racquet combines surgical targeting with outstanding feel

With this racquet, Prince adds another 100 square inch model to the growing Twistpower family. Compared to the standard Twistpower X100, this Tour version packs more mass, giving it slightly more stability and pop. However, with its sub-330 swingweight, the Twistpower X100 Tour is fast enough for experienced players, making it great for whipping up spin, cranking winners on the run or reacting quickly at net. In addition to its fast feel and easy targeting, this stick comes with a unique Twisted Shaft, which helps the racquet bend optimally at impact. It also has Triple Tube Technology, which involves a foam infusion in key locations to give you a more stable and powerful hitting experience. Ideal for intermediate and advanced players the Twispower X100 Tour has the spin, power and precision of our favorite modern player’s racquets, but it also offers more comfort and better feel than the majority of its competitors.

Tour with a twistI have both the standard 100 and now the Tour. The Tour has a bit more weight and plays overall better than the 100, but if you're a intermediate or beginner then the standard 100 might be a good fit for you. The Tour is tuned to be a player's stick. The cosmetic on the Tour is glossy in the head and fades to a matte finish in the throat whereas the 100 is completely matte and has slight differences in the overlays. The Tour has great power and just enough spin. Personally it wasn't a “plug and play” for me. It took a few outings on the court to get used to the Tour (thus the four star rating), but now it's my go to.

Twistpower TourSpin machine. Very easy to play with and slightly heavier and than the non-tour version. Plays as expected with different string types. With Prince XP the racquet played more powerfully, and with Prince XC it had more touch, feel and control.

10 out of 10Almost two years ago, after play-testing several racquets based on the TW staff's recommendations, I had bought Twistpower X100 racquets and was very satisfied. Recently, based on the TW staff's video review of the Twistpower X100 Tour and a phone conversation with the TW staff, I traded in my Twistpower X100 racquets for Twistpower X100 Tour racquets. I couldn't be more pleased. As TW's reviewers reported, the Twistpower X100 Tour has more stability, plow-through, and pop on the serve than the lighter X100 but has least equal feel, touch, and maneuverability. My Twistpower X100 Tour racquets are strung with Wilson NXT 17 at 53 pounds, as recommended by the TW staff. I have been a TW customer for decades and, as always, TW was simply outstanding in handling my purchase of the new racquets and my trade-in of the old racquets. Thank you!

Twistpower is powerfulExcellent racquet for control, but got good power as well with fast swings, slice backhands and slice serves are awesome with great feel and good vibration dampening effect. Little light but customization is easy to do to increase weight. Would recommend this racquet for all beginners to intermediate players as control, feel is excellent.

It ain't a gimmick! Let’s start with my issue with Prince over recent years. They seemingly continue to try and innovate with funky little specs and forget the fact that if stringers like me don’t wanna string the things they ain’t selling them. Add to that they went bust several times and whenever I see the name there’s always a sense of tentativeness when considering any purchase due to lack of resources to create anything special! The TwistPower 100 Tour was certainly one of those moments and was in fact a clients decision to buy for himself. When he brought to me to string and then for us to play together to test I gotta say the results were incredible. The design is superb. The build quality and spec precision was exceptional (did a full diagnostic check on 4 so far and there’s been 1g difference between the 4). The paint job and general cosmetics are also quite brilliant. Something I can’t say about some of the rackets from other manufacturers! It plays stable and soft with excellent control. I loved the contact sensation especially when strung in hybrid with multi in the mains. Some have mentioned instability off centre I gotta say compared to others it’s not a concern. Whatever the Twist is supposed to offer for me and certainly a number of my clients it’s working. If 10 clients have tried this stick 8 of them got onto Tennis Warehouse and purchased a few for themselves. Now my racket of choice is the Pro Kennex QTour Pro 315 so a 98 head with a thin beam so this Prince shouldn’t really be in my wheelhouse. But you know something. The Pro Kennex is being retired and this will become my racket of choice as I near the big 50. Honestly I believe you guys need to market this stick a little more aggressively because for guys and girls in my generation this really is a hidden gem!!!!!

Excellent all ct singles/doubles racquetMoved up a level and found myself getting pushed around at the baseline with my lighter racquet. Tested many racquets over three months and settled on three finalists: Yonex Ezone 100, Head Speed MP, and the Prince Twistpower X100 Tour. With the same strings I found that the Ezone was more unpredictable at the net volleying than the Twistpower X100 Tour. I also found that despite being an excellent spin and control racquet, the Speed MP felt mushy when I got a short ball and wanted to really crush one and put it away. All three racquets were strong from the baseline with good spin and plowthrough, although I tended to have some balls with the Ezone fly on me. Serving the X100 Tour gave me great power for flat serves (as did the other two), but the X100 Tour also allowed me to have really good spin and power on my slice serves that I could not find with the other two. After playing with the X100 Tour for four months I am very happy with my purchase and got a 2nd one. I have also found that for my swing speed I get the best control and feel using Head Lynx Tour 17 gauge strung at 50-52 lbs.

4.5 NTRP BostonI'm down 5-2 in the third set and struggling. I just can't feel my shots. My friend was watching my match and suggested I try his new Twistpower 100 Tour. Wow, is all I can say about this racquet. I hit two aces and win the game. The power of the return is incredible and now I break him. I'm hitting winners left and right. I win the match. Thank you Prince! This racquet has it all.

The best of PrinceThe best kept secret of the Prince line up!! Unbelievable blend of power and control, it gives more power to my backhand, I'm impressed with the control and accuracy. I'm currently waiting for my 2nd pair string at 52 lbs with ALU Power.

An Excellent RacquetFirst things first: this is a really fine serving racquet. I've had terrible serve problems the last few years, and the first three serves I ever hit with this stick all landed deep in the service box with good pace. The serving joy continued. Serves were consistent with good kick or slice. A real confidence builder. I found the racquet plenty agile and didn't have any of the swingweight concerns some have mentioned. Very comfortable, enough feel for me (I don't want to feel any harshness), topspin and slice were easy to generate, ample power without being difficult to control. I have no idea if the twisted shafts serve a purpose, chose this racquet based on the desirable specs, glad I did.

Previous Feedback

Comments: I purchased this racquet based on the sparkling reviews it received here by the staff. I had never hit with a Twistpower before and, being a big Prince fan, I decided to give this a try since it closely matched the specs of my Prince Chrome 300g (Beast). Serving with this racquet was just phenomenal, closely matching what you'd get out of a Pure Drive. It was easy to get some ooomph behind my serves and I was able to place them effectively after getting used to it. Ground strokes were nice but it did take me a little bit to get used to the increased swingweight compared to my regular racquet. Once I got my timing right it delivered a consistent response, although I felt like it was a bit too muted for my taste. I know this was a feature of the Tour model so I knew to expect that. It just took some getting used to. It is a nice solid racquet that absorbs and uses pace quite well. It feels fast for a heavier racquet, so doubles net play is not a problem. My Pros: great serves; steady and forgiving racquet that absorbs pace and doesn't get knocked around. My Cons: this is personal, but it is a bit heavy and muted for my game. Again, I am most comfortable with a slightly lighter swingweight. I am going to give it more court time but I am not completely sold in this being my primary racquet. I think this would be a good all-around racquet for any style of play as long as you can swing a heavy-ish racquet. For reference, I was using Solinco Tour Bite @ 48 pounds.
