Comfortable, contoured fit, and ultra lightweight. Try this version for a wider fit.
For the competitive player who seeks comfort, in an ultra lightweight package, it doesn't get much better than the Yonex Power Cushion Sonicage 2 Wide! This second generation of the Sonicage has been updated with Hyper msLite cushioning in the midsole, for an even lighter, and more responsive ride. Double Russel Mesh in the upper provides a lightweight, and very breathable feel on top of the foot. The Power Graphite plate in the middle portion of the shoe helps to maximize stability, while cutting down on extra weight. The durable rubber outsole offers a high level of traction on all court surfaces.

Comments: I'm a past sufferer of neuroma of the foot, so I need "wide" shoes/fuller toe boxes. These Yonex Sonicage 2 Wide shoes fit the bill perfectly. Light, comfortable, zero break in, fast low to the ground feel. Love this shoe. Will continue to buy this as long as Yonex keeps them in their lineup!

p>Comments: Looks to be quality shoes with nice materials, but I have size 9 2E forefoot with a medium heel and was disappointed with the fit. These wide shoes feel like regular medium on my feet. The heel and midfoot fit very well, but the toe box is just too pointy and cramped. I'll stick with Ubersonic 3 shoes.

Comments: Very comfortable shoes from the start. Great support during all on-court movement. The width is perfect for me. My feet are between a D width and the 2E width that is often the next width up. I like the lacing pattern as it allows for a snug, but comfortable fit. I weigh 215 pounds. The underfoot cushioning wore out after three months. I replaced the removable insoles with high quality impact absorbing sport insoles and the shoes have been great since then.

Comments: These shoes are super comfortable and like others have said, fit very well. I play primarily on clay and they don't grip as well as a clay court shoes, but I'm very happy with them nonetheless. I will disagree with others here and say that I would prefer the sole to wear out first and not the midsole. When the midsole wears out your knees take the impact. Shoes with six month guarantees are for young kids. Because of that, I used to buy a new pair of shoes every three months just to get the cushioning back. These shoes are great.

Comments: Finally! I have finally found the perfect shoes for my feet and for tennis. I'm a mid-30s 3.5 to 4.0 baseliner, with knee issues, who occasionally heads to the net. I have a wide foot, but have not been able to find a proper tennis shoe that fits. The 2E New Balances are all too wide, while most other wides aren't quite wide enough. Until now, the closest fit I had found was the adidas Solecourt Boost, but after two matches with those, I returned them to adidas. Pain points developed quickly, and it felt like I was standing in wet cement at the initiation of every movement. Enter the Sonicage 2.0, the wide version of these shoes fit my foot perfectly. The cushioning is just enough to keep my knees feeling good the next day, while not burdensome on movement. I feel faster, quicker, and more balanced overall in these shoes. I may just order a second pair because it's taken me quite a while to find the perfect tennis shoes for my feet. They're comfortable right out of the box, and while I was concerned they might be a bit warm, they weren't at all. While I've only played a few sets in them, I am incredibly happy with them already.

Comments: I have high arches and most of the shoes cannot be used without an insole. These shoes have good arch support and have enough room. They are a little wider than the normal shoes with very comfortable fit.

Comments: True to size, wide enough, best of all wide shoes. It is a keeper!

Comments: Very comfortable shoe. I move well in this shoe. Better than Power Cushion Eclipsion 2, which is very uncomfortable on my foot.

Comments: I bought these to replace my pair of Yonex Sonicage Wide. Fit is very similar, maybe slightly smaller toe box, but that could just be attributed to the difference in material. The original Sonicage had a mesh like material in the front of the shoe and the new version has a very firm rubber covering the entire shoe. Played with them for the first time last night and they felt great, and I kind of forgot I was wearing a new out of the box pair of shoes. After a few minutes of play the toe box did not seem as constricting. They seem to provide a lot more lateral support than the prior version. Good support all around, including the arch. Would recommend to anyone who liked the fit of the original Sonicage.

Comments: Lightweight and very comfortable, could use an extra eyelet at the top for extra support around the ankle. The outsole did not wear well on hard court, it wore out well before the uppers showed an wear. I usually wear Asics Gel Resolution 7s, and will stick with them.

Comments: Terrible durability. Not worth the price.

Comments: Just ordered my third pair. These shoes are comfortable with ample room in the toe box, and solid cushioning. The downside is that I only get two months out of these on hard courts. When they get too thin I move them to Sunday clay courts until the new pair gets too sole bare and the story repeats. I wish Yonex would put a more durable sole or make a wide version of their other offerings.

Comments: I have been going bonkers trying to find something just right since Prince stopped making the Viper Mid. I had to give up on a Mid altogether. I have a wide forefoot but fairly narrow heel. This shoe claims "Toe Assist" shape, but still not quite the right shape for me, which is too bad because I really like the look. I've been getting by with the K-Swiss Hypercourt Express, but it's too shallow to properly accommodate my orthotics. I have also tried on Adidas, Babolat, and Diadora. I've never worn Nikes in my life, but I may try the Air Zoom Vapor X Wide next. I am a 3.5-ish baseliner, 43 years of age.
