Stringing Machines

  • You can choose from a variety of stringing machines that best fits your budget.
  • The most economic options are drop weight machines with flying clamps (i.e., not fixed to the machine). These machines start at $229.95 with the Gamma Progression 200, which pays for itself in under 25 string jobs! In addition to cost, the primary benefit of this machine type is portability. It can be set-up on virtually any sturdy table, and it pulls tension at a constant pressure with a simple weight-rod. The more expensive models in this category are heavier and come with the convenience of fixed clamps.
  • The next tier starts at $739 with the Alpha Revo 4000. This is a "lockout" machine with fixed clamps (which are slightly easier/faster than flying clamps). This type of machine uses a hand crank to pull tension. Within this tier you can find models that are set on a table top or come with a stand
  • The higher end models are the electronic, constant pull machines. They pull at a constant tension using a motor and come with a variety of special functions that enable you to fine-tune the tension.
