Customer Reviews
The 4.5 fixes the 4.0 lacing issue as well as some minor updates. There’s the band/hook on the back to help put your foot in—a bit useless so far. One noticeable update is the increased thickness and size of the medial aspect of the shoe for durability, something I noticed wearing down in my 3.5s (since I went back to those). Slightly larger than the 4.0s. The other main difference I notice is the lace length. Where my 3.5 laces might have been just a bit long, these 4.5s may be just a tad too short because it’s a traditional lacing system. Therefore, tough to get that second knot, and I would prefer too long than short for laces.
With the return to a more normal lacing system, definitely back to this version of this shoe. Of note, I have a slightly flat almost 2E foot. Tried the wide, and that was too much for my paws. Recommend this shoe, especially if you liked the previous versions and need the 6 month guarantee.
