This version of the RF 01 commemorates the 2025 Laver Cup

Introducing the RF 01 Laver Cup! Featuring the same specs and playability as the standard RF 01, this racquet's cosmetic pays homage to the 2025 Laver Cup, held in San Francisco. Beneath paint you'll find a racquet designed in collaboration with Roger Federer, reflecting insights accumulated over one of the most legendary careers in tennis history. At roughly 11.2 ounces strung, the RF 01 Lave Cup is perfectly weighted for intermediate players. It will also appeal to the advanced ball striker looking for a speedy all-court weapon or a platform for customization. This racquet's design is appropriately named SABR, a name that epitomizes Federer's attacking style. It includes a powerful carbon fiber layup with Braid FORTYFIVE technology to enhance both dwell time and pocketing, while helping the racquet bend in ways that complement the vertical mechanics of the modern game (think spin). It also features foam throughout the racquet to deliver a more solid feel, along with a reinforced shaft and yoke for greater torsional stability through impact (think less racquet flopping on volleys). Ultimately, with its quick handling, precise targeting, and great feel, the RF 01 Laver Cup has impressive versatility and should appeal to a wide range of players. The cool Laver Cup cosmetic is a nice touch. The cool Laver Cup cosmetic is a nice touch.

Unexpected brillianceOn this review, I’d like to get to the point first and then explain how I arrived at my conclusion. The racquet was strung with Gamma live wire 16 Guage @ 45 lbs. I love the feel of it. I love the flexibility, touch on the volleys and I like the solid contact sound when you hit the ball for groundstrokes. it swings through the air with a good balance point towards the upper throat of racquet. On volleys it has a great feel and affords the ability to handle touch and control very well. How I came to this conclusion. I normally played with a Wilson burn , strung with 16 Guage black widow poly @ 45-43 lbs. The burn is a bit head heavy on my swing, this is just to give you an idea of the previous racquet. My ground game is normally a classic forehand & 2 handed backhand. I hit the ball quite flat. I wanted to try out something totally different . When I first transitioning from my previous racquet took me about a week of experimenting to really understand the feel and the hidden secrets of the effects of using this racquet to its full potential. On serving I I was able to snap the wrist for more spin, although if you are looking to pound the service in you might be better off with a head heavy racquet. they have 3 versions of this racquet, light medium & pro which is heavy. My version was the middle one. I did nit know in the beginning if I would actually like the lighter feel of the racquet . I noticed on fast transitions this racquet is brilliant, my volley improved with a tremendous more feel. I am not here to guess at your type of game but I love the feel quality and sound of the ball off this racquet. If feel and control is more towards your liking then this is your racquet. You can also achieve great power if you’re more of a snappy wrist player also! I enjoyed this game so much more nowadays. Again final thoughts is give it a chance for about a week I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Great addition to my collectionThis racquet has a great feel and power, it's design looks amazing and being less heavy than my rf 01 pro is proving to be a better choice for an intermediate player.

Great RacquetAt first, I thought that I had made a mistake buying this racquet. I had problems with it because of the light head weight. After a friend suggested that I use lead tape on the head, I fell in love with it. It's a great racquet for serving and if you have a full swing on ground strokes you will really like it. It's also very maneuverable at the net.
