Comments: I wonder if Tourna grip have a shelf life as I purchases a 2 packs of 30 grip reel 2 years back and left them in my closet (cool, dry and out of sunlight) since I switched to use Wilson Pro overgrip for a while. It started to get really hot and humid again a few week back (91+ Fahrenheit & 85%+ humidity days). I brought out my old trusty Tourna grip again but this time the top blue layer started to come off before I finish my 1st game, and the bottom absorbent layer seems to fray badly too. I remember it used to last me about 30 minutes before I had to change it, now it seems to last no more than 5 minutes and the whole thing fall apart.

Comments: I'm always playing in hot conditions, and use my wrist a lot when I play so I hold the racquet quite loosely. I got blisters at first, but now they're calluses, so its fine. These grips were effective and I don't have many complaints other than when I had to borrow a grip from a friend (like a non-bulk prince grip or something) I liked them better, because they were thicker and I like a thick grip. Also they were a bit short and I had to stretch them a lot to reach the top. Overall, I would buy them again and they are worth what you pay for them. I play around 12 hours a week.

Comments: I really like the feel of this grip but it just doesn't last very long. My hands sweat a lot and after playing for two or three days, the grip is just clogged with sweat and starts fraying. I was getting tired of having to constantly put on new grips so I decided to switch. I have used both the Wilson Pro Overgrip and the Yonex Supergrap which are both nice, but also not durable for me. I finally went with the Dunlop Viper Dry Overgrip. Now that is a grip. Its nice and dry like Tourna Grip but actually fairly durable. I'm sticking with that.

Comments: I've been using Tourna Grip since it first came out in the late 70's or early 80's. I've tried all the others and nothing comes close to the quality and playability of Tourna Grip. I've never had a tearing or shredding problem. In the winter, it lasts for many sets of tennis. In the summer you have to change it more often but it still outlasts any other grip product.

Comments: This grip is soft on the hand and looks cool, but it slipped out of my hand about five minutes into my warmup. Maybe I just need to "break it in" a little, seeing as I put it on last night and played once with it today. It was also hard to put on, with no adhesive on either end. Comments: I'm not going to complain about the size being too short because they do make an XL version if you want it. I was able to wrap this one fully but it only overlapped about 1/16" which is not good. What I will complain about is the durability. Everyone on here says that you get what you pay for, but it's about the cost of the Wilson Pro and Pro Soft Overgrip, which last for at least 2 weeks playing every day!!! I don't know how I'm going to use the 2 left in the pack because this grip tends to tear away the top layer after only 30 minutes to an hour of play and I can't afford to buy these grips every week. I'm still to try Yonex SuperGrap, which most people say is the best, but I suggest Wilson Pro Overgrip - It kind of has a rubbery feel and it has loads of tack compared to this grip. I wouldn't waste my money on this again.

With even mildly sweaty hands like mine, I can't afford to worry about my racquet slipping during a match, and TournaGrip is the only grip that gives me that sense of security, all the time. Comments: First of all, I noticed a lot of comments were about how the grip wasn't tacky. It's not supposed to be. It's an absorbent overgrip, and it's made to provide maximum feedback from your racquet. The reason pros use it is because they don't pay for the grips, and so put a new one almost every match. But all this being said, I have tried many grips: Gamma Pro Overgrip, Wilson Pro Overgrip, Prince Microtac, Prince Microzorb, Tournagrip 2, Yonex Super Grap, and above all I keep coming back to these. Why? they work for me. the length isn't an issue for me, since I only need as much as it gives (one-handed backhand). If you don't like the length, buy the xl version! But for overall usefulness, this is without a doubt the best out there. Hopefully it will never be discontinued. I run through a 30 pack in about 3 months. I'm a 4.5 all court player.

I agree with most of you that the grip works very well in sweat absorption conditions and it�s quite comfortable . However, I agree with Andrew of St. Louis that is not tacky at all, that is what I want to feel when I replace my grip for a new one. It is not comfortable from the start of the installation process, in a middle of a game it's better at home with time and scissors. The durability is good and the price competitive. Comments: Tournagrip is the best overgrip I have ever used. When new it is tacky and smooth, but it's after using it for a set or so (when it turns dark) then it really shines. I can get a good two weeks out of each grip before they rip badly. I don't know about this over other types of grip, but over the stock leather grip on my nSix-One Tour 90 it really completes the package. Highly recommended.

Comments: Tourna-Grip is the only grip that works when it gets wet with sweat. Everything else, Yonex Super Grap, Wilson Pro Grip, etc, slip in your hand when they get wet. With Tourna-Grip, you can still hold onto the racket when its hot, humid and WET. No, it doesn't last forever, but grips that do last a long time slip when they get really wet. If you don't have any money, buy something else, but don't expect the same performance as Tourna-Grip.

Comments: I am number one in Boy's 12's in the nation and as you can probably imagine, I play a lot. I dislike this grip very much. It gives you blisters, and is not very comfortable to play with. I would recommend trying a Wilson Pro Overgrip, which I have switched to, or Gamma grips.

Comments: I've tried the Yonex SuperGrap, and Wilson Pro overgrips, but both do not come close to Tournagrip's sweat absorption. I keep going back to Tournagrip. It is the only overgrip that does not blister my hands like those other popular tacky overgrips. The Tournagrip is best used with a leather grip for best feel and sweat absorption. Tournagrip is also very thin, so it does not add bulk to your grip. It is no wonder Tournagrip has been around for so many years, it is simply proven itself as the best overgrip of all. Just ask Mr. Sampras.

Comments: I regularly use the pro-over grip (Wilson) and this Tourna grip, so this is sort of a comparison. I use the pro-over grip more than anything cause it matches my racquet (nSixone 90), although I could get a white Tourna grip, it doesn't feel the same as blue to me. The pro grips are a little more tacky which may or may not be a good thing. With the Tourna grips, I never feel like its so tacky that I can't change grip in the middle of a pt. easy, but because of its super absorbency, after like two shots, the grip "breaks in" and becomes perfect combination of tackiness/dryness. It's also the greatest feeling over leather, but make sure your leather is good quality otherwise it feels too beveled. In my mind I say if you want a nice solid grip that'll hold through sweaty hands and a hard match this is the thing, its not too durable, but the awesome-ness of the grip more than makes up for it. I feel like even torn these grips feel better than a dirty pro over grip that's totally smooth and hard to grip onto. Best bang for your buck, try them out!

Comments: I don't really like the TournaGrip that much. It has such bad durability. I Re-gripped my racquet after a coaching lesson. Later, after a 2 hour match a couple days after the purple grip had turned to a very dark purple/black colour. Even though it may be sweat absorbent my racquet sometimes still slipped during shots. I won't buy TournaGrip again.

Comments: Tournagrip has the best feel out there of any overgrip. It's soft and smooth. It is indeed the best overgrip for moisture. My hands are dry when using this grip and I like the way it makes me fell secure. But of course, these grips are not meant to be durable. I put a hole in the overgrip after 6 sets and some warm-up time. This is OK for me since I like the feel of a new grip but I have to admit, these are pretty pricey if you play a lot. Overall, a good overgrip if you like a dry, smooth and soft grip.

Comments: I use Tournagrip very often. In fact its my favorite. Someone said that they don't last very long but that is the whole point they are meant to be used for only 1 tournament hence the name (Tourna). I feel that these grips are the best possible that you will find on the market but for the better durability but slightly less grip go for Babolat or Pacific grips.

Comments: I don't see what the big fuss is about over Tourna grip. The grip is the most durable grip but I feel that the grip is still good. I have used the Yonex grip and the Wilson grip and I can assure you that the grips are better but only for a period of time. I don't know about others but I like to keep my grips on for at least a good 2-3 weeks. I feel that Tourna grips is the only grip that allows your hand to feel the same comfort through out its use. Also, in my opinion the grip actually feels better when used.

Comments: Like they say, a classic never goes out of style. This grip will stand up to or surpass any of the fancier and more expensive overgrips out there. If the pros have been using it for years, there's got to be something good about it. In my experience, there are overgrips that will last longer but you'll sacrifice performance. If TournaGrip can improve it's durability, it'll put the rest of them out of business.
