Overview

A TW Staff Favorite, this overgrip is used by 100s of touring pros, including John Isner, Richard Gasquet, Sam Querrey, David Ferrer, Kevin Anderson, Genie Bouchard, the Bryan Brothers and many more. In addition to being the grip of choice for countless college players and amateurs, this grip was used by hall of fame legend Pete Sampras, who won 14 majors with it. Widely regarded as the most effective grip for hot and humid conditions, Tourna Grip includes a proprietary technology that wicks moisture away from your hand. The feel is comfortably firm and absorbent. All in all, this is the perfect grip for the player who wants a more secure grip in sweaty conditions.

Due to its shorter length, this overgrip works best for traditionally sized handles and players with one handed backhands. For players with longer handles and two handed backhands, we recommend Tourna Grip Original XL or XXL.

Previous Feedback

Comments: I wonder if Tourna grip have a shelf life as I purchases a 2 packs of 30 grip reel 2 years back and left them in my closet (cool, dry and out of sunlight) since I switched to use Wilson Pro overgrip for a while. It started to get really hot and humid again a few week back (91+ Fahrenheit & 85%+ humidity days). I brought out my old trusty Tourna grip again but this time the top blue layer started to come off before I finish my 1st game, and the bottom absorbent layer seems to fray badly too. I remember it used to last me about 30 minutes before I had to change it, now it seems to last no more than 5 minutes and the whole thing fall apart.
From: Bill, 6/9/18

Comments: First time buyer. Very disappointed about the length. Not everybody likes his grip like Richard Gasquet. Description needs to clearly state fits a junior racquet.
From: Georg, 3/15/18

Comments: I recommend buying the XL version as it didn't fit my standard size racquet.
From: Jared, 10/16

Comments: Beware! Unless you intend on gripping your racquet like Wawrinka or Gasquet, don't buy this grip! Get the XL! There is no possible way of getting this grip to wrap all the way down.
From: Anonymous, 9/16

Comments: Tourna overgrip lasts only two-three games in Florida, after that it looks awful. Another thing, it seems just like some guy chopping off tapes and packing them -- this product doesn't have tapering or adhesive. I prefer Wilson, Yonex and Pacific overgrips.
From: Eugene, 5/16

Comments: I like Tourna Grip because I live in Southern California, where people here joke that the two seasons here are usually just summer and fall. Because the tennis season at my high school is in the spring, it gets hot starting about 11 and doesn't recede until about 7, so this is perfect. Loving it big time because of its absorption and because it doesn't slip.
From: Matthew, 3/16

Comments: At 99 cm in length, it came up too short for my normal grip size racquet. Also, it is not tapered at the beginning. The XL should work better.
From: Howard, 10/15

Comments: This was the least durable overgrip I have ever tried. In the middle of the second session it started blistering and becoming uncomfortable. I realize the pros re-apply after every outing, but my overgrips usually last longer than that!
From: Johnson, 8/15

Comments: I'm always playing in hot conditions, and use my wrist a lot when I play so I hold the racquet quite loosely. I got blisters at first, but now they're calluses, so its fine. So far, Tourna grip is the only grip with which I can hold onto the racquet when it is as if I'd just washed my hands. Every other grip slips immediately, even if I've just put it on.
From: Johnny, 7/13

Comments: It took me a year to get through a pack of 30, replacing them about every other week. These grips were effective and I don't have many complaints other than when I had to borrow a grip from a friend (like a non-bulk prince grip or something) I liked them better, because they were thicker and I like a thick grip. Also they were a bit short and I had to stretch them a lot to reach the top. Overall, I would buy them again and they are worth what you pay for them. I play around 12 hours a week.
From: Hannah, 6/13

Comments: This grip feels pretty good and as it says, it doesn't slip at all. However, the lack of tapering and adhesive at the ends may be a bit irritating to put on.
From: Winston, 1/13

Comments: There's low durability and it's too short. However, it has good absorption.
From: Bedrock, 10/12

Comments: This is a great grip, but moving from the serve to the forehand can be a little uncomfortable.
From:

Comments: Tourna Grip is great. It feels very nice and it stays the same color. Isn't that great?! Also, it doesn't slip. No wonder so many pros use it. Pete Sampras, a 14 time Grand slam champion, and the 2nd greatest player (behind Federer in my opinion) used this grip.
From: Neal, 8/12

Comments: Tourna Grip is not the most comfortable grip out there and it's not the most durable, but if you live in a hot climate or you sweat a lot, Tourna Grip is your best friend. It is the only grip I have found that does not slip in your hand in the Florida summer. There is a reason so many tour players use it, it just doesn't slip!
From: Mark, 8/12

Comments: This is by far the best over grip out there! I use it over leather and at first I got blisters but who cares. It toughened up my hands and now it feels great. I love the dry feel and the color. Although it wears out faster than others it's a lot cheaper. This is definitely my over grip for life!
From: Jess, 7/12

Comments: The length too short and not worth saving $0.15/wrap compared to Wilson Pro Overgrip. Not sure which side works best as other types clearly have a sticky side. Red tape difficult to remove film especially compared to other brands.
From: Brad, 5/12

Comments: I love Tourna Grip, but the durability is pretty poor. I use it over a leather and it works very well in hot conditions. Only problem is that it tears quickly in heat and humidity. I wish they would make it a thicker version for extra durability
From: Ry, 5/12

Comments: I decided to give tourna grip a go and I am really impressed by the dry solid grip, feel and sweat absorption qualities, it might not be durable, but it's financially accessible, so no problem.
From: Ricardo, 1/12

Comments: I really like the feel of this grip but it just doesn't last very long. My hands sweat a lot and after playing for two or three days, the grip is just clogged with sweat and starts fraying. I was getting tired of having to constantly put on new grips so I decided to switch. I have used both the Wilson Pro Overgrip and the Yonex Supergrap which are both nice, but also not durable for me. I finally went with the Dunlop Viper Dry Overgrip. Now that is a grip. Its nice and dry like Tourna Grip but actually fairly durable. I'm sticking with that.
From: Peter, 1/12

Comments: I like these when it is hot outside and I sweat a lot, because the sweat almost helps the feel. However, I prefer something more tacky in the winter because when my hands are dry the grip is more prone to slipping.
From: Anon, 10/11

Comments: Like everyone else says, "The best feel, worst durability." I always hated tacky grips, this just feels dry like a cloth. My hand sweat a ton and since I started using Tourna grips I haven't thrown my racquet on a serve.
From: Anon, 10/11

Comments: This grip feels nice but wears out ridiculously fast.
From: Zarcelona, 10/11

Comments: I found this grip absorbs sweat well but it also wears quickly.
From: Bob, 10/11

Comments: I've been using Tourna Grip since it first came out in the late 70's or early 80's. I've tried all the others and nothing comes close to the quality and playability of Tourna Grip. I've never had a tearing or shredding problem. In the winter, it lasts for many sets of tennis. In the summer you have to change it more often but it still outlasts any other grip product.
From: Jose, 9/11

Comments: This grip is soft on the hand and looks cool, but it slipped out of my hand about five minutes into my warmup. Maybe I just need to "break it in" a little, seeing as I put it on last night and played once with it today. It was also hard to put on, with no adhesive on either end. I will probably get better with practice (I used to/still do use Wilson Pro) if I even try this grip again. I have also heard bad things about its durability. I will probably try something else.
From: Scotty, 9/11

Comments: This grip feels good. I found it absorbs my sweat well however it depletes quickly. Also, it's a little short in length for my racquet because I use a two-handed backhand. My overall grade would be a 7/10.
From: Phillip, 7/11

Comments: I've heard a lot of talk about this grip not lasting long. The other day was the first time I used the stuff, and I somehow managed to put it on backwards. However, it felt very tacky and could have easily lasted me the rest of the week! I changed it because I hated knowing the fact it was on wrong. Maybe you should give it a try? The two sides feel completely different.
From: Jay, 7/11

Comments: This overgrip isn't long enough for extended racquets. If you use a two-handed backhand, you definitely have to go with the XL version.
From: Jessie. 6/11

Comments: I agree with Rob, the grip wears down at my thumb knuckle very fast. Other than that though it is a good grip.
From: Perry. 5/11

Comments: If you have sweaty hands, it's the perfect grip out there. There's nothing that can compete.
From: Anon. 4/11

Comments: This is the first time that I use Tourna Grip. In the past I used Yonex- awesome stuff. The Tourna Grip frayed after 4 hours of playing. Will never use again.
From: Rob, Staunton, VA, USA, 03/11

Comments: Absorbs really well and it does not take away from the feel of the racquet because it isn't super thick and squishy like some of the tacky ones. It works really well for me because I have a leather grip and it gives you great feel to all your shots, and with the tourna it doesn't slip like it would with just the leather grip. And it doesn't hurt, at least for me. I have a one hander so I have no problem with the length of the original size.
From: Alex, OH, USA, 03/11

Comments: Feels great and it never slips. I will admit it doesn't last very long. After 5 hours of playing it looked pretty beat up. I'd probably only use it in official matches and tournaments to give you an extra edge and confidence.
From: Javier, Sunnyside, WA, USA, 02/11

Comments: Best ever for sure. I didn't like initially and switch to Wilson pro & Yonex supergrip but they don't absorb my very high sweat level very well. I had to change them after every match. After some thoughts switch back to tourna original grip. It absorbs more sweat and I can still use reverse side for another match or practice. After all overgrip can't absorb like cloth so I have to change any overgrip after every match/practice. The best thing with tourna I can grip the racquet much better with sweat & if you are using leather as original grip the feel is best I experience.
From: Ken, Palo Alto, CA, USA, 11/10

Comments: This is the grip I have been looking for. I don't typically like overgrips, but this one is the exception. Nice and dry feel. I hate tacky with a passion so, if you are like me, this is the grip for you. They are not slippery and they absorb pretty well. The only problem is that they do not last a real long time, but for a buck a piece, they can't be beat.
From: Taylor, Farmington, NM, USA, 08/10

Comments: This grip is to easy to wear out it tears after 2 days of playing. It's only good if you replace it basically after every match I think Wilson pro is better and more durable
From: Matt, 07/10
(Matt, you can also use the reverse side of the grip in order to get more use out of a single grip once you wear it out on one side--TW Staff)

Comments: I finally decided to try out Tourna Grip after hearing so much about it. I got blisters after 30- 45 mins of rallying. Next time, I'll stick to Wilson Pro overgrips.
From: Danny, Austin, TX, USA, 07/10

Comments: I'm not going to complain about the size being too short because they do make an XL version if you want it. I was able to wrap this one fully but it only overlapped about 1/16" which is not good. What I will complain about is the durability. Everyone on here says that you get what you pay for, but it's about the cost of the Wilson Pro and Pro Soft Overgrip, which last for at least 2 weeks playing every day!!! I don't know how I'm going to use the 2 left in the pack because this grip tends to tear away the top layer after only 30 minutes to an hour of play and I can't afford to buy these grips every week. I'm still to try Yonex SuperGrap, which most people say is the best, but I suggest Wilson Pro Overgrip - It kind of has a rubbery feel and it has loads of tack compared to this grip. I wouldn't waste my money on this again.
From: Jared, California, USA. 06/10

Comments: I have used Tourna Grip for a while now. It was always a really good grip for me, but the main problem for me, whenever I overgrip my racquet with Tourna Grip, I never seem to have enough. That's frustrating. Other than that, it's a great grip. I will stick with this one for awhile. If Tourna Grip would just give you a little more grip to work with, I'd be much happier.
From: Anon. 5/10

Comments: I love this grip. I went to a Tennis Academy and everyone there even said this was a great grip. It gives blisters because it absorbs sweat, I suppose. I like it because it feels smooth, but not slippery.
From: Isabella, Quezon City, Philippines. 5/10

Comments: Really nice grip, durability just isn't great. Had to replace after 1.5 weeks of play.
From: Jason. 4/10

Comments: Tournagrip was the first grip I ever used, but I wasn't all that impressed with it. It definitely lacks the tack needed to keep it from rolling in your hands. Also, when it wears down... it really wears down. No other grip looks as bad as a used Tournagrip. I sorta think these are overrated. I wanna say people are buying into the "Pete Sampras" hype machine.
From: David, san diego, ca, usa. 3/10
(David, Original Tourna Grip is more absorbent than tacky. If you're looking for a tacky Tourna Grip, try Tourna Tac II. -- TW)

Comments: This grip is great! It is comfortable doesn't slip, and doesn't give me blisters and I play two hours a day every day! Buy it.
From: Greg, Half Moon Bay, CA, USA. 9/09

Comments: Do not buy this grip! It gave me a total of 4 blisters and slipped terribly. Plus this happened within twenty minutes of a demo....
From: Robbie, Oklahoma 08/09

Comments: This is the only overgrip that has given me blisters. It's a great grip, absorbs well and has decent grip. This is not a tacky grip, but the durability could be better. I like Yonex Supergrap much better. Squishier/tackier/gripper way more durable, but if that's not what you're looking for this is the next best thing.
From: Vincent, CA, USA. 7/09

Comments: It's by far the greatest grip I have ever seen and I play only with Tourna Grip. It absorbs sweat extremely well and this is the only grip that lets me play tennis normally because my hand doesn't skid. However, when I buy Tourna Grip, I order 2x30 grips because they don't last long. Only about 2-3 sets.
From: Ivan, Krizevci, Croatia. 6/09

Comments: Such nice grip, stays dry and doesn't slip. Best grip ever and lasts a LONG time.
From: Cole, Kelowna, Canada. 6/09

Comments: This grip is great. Great feel immediately. I've been using it for 5 months and have no intentions of switching. The durability is not great, but it is worth putting on a new grip every 2 to 3 weeks.
From: Kevin, Archbold, OH, USA. 05/09

Comments: Good grip absorbs sweat and comfortable, but if you get blisters on your hands and use tape to cover the blisters it tears right through the grip in like 15 min of playing
From: Pablo, Mexico City, Mexico, 04/09

Comments: The best grip I have ever used. However, it's durability is so-so. It does tear, but change it every week or two. It's super-tacky and VERY ABSORBENT. They are also easy on my hands and feels like you can play better with it. Now the cons of this grip: horrible-looking color (change it!), needs to be more durable, and also it's hard to put on (you need to put a lot of tension on it). Overall, the best grip ever. I use it on both my Prince Hornet Hybrid O3 and Wilson Kblade Team.
From: Kevin, Los Angeles, CA, USA. 4/09

Comments: This is the perfect grip for people who sweat but want a dry feel. Plays like the original grip, but absorbs like a towel. It's inexpensive so you can replace it every day if you like. Mine last for several sessions before fraying. I don't have especially tough hands but I've had no problems with blisters or even hotspots.
From: SKM, 3/09

Comments: I think that this is the best grip in tennis. The only problem is the durability. This grip only last about a week and a half for me since I play 6 days a week.
From: Ethan, Ga. 3/09

Comments: Tourna Grip is the best grip out there for what it was meant to do, absorb sweat, and give a solid grip on the racquet. This grip gives you a great feel of your racquet, now mind you there is a reason it's called Tourna Grip, it really wasn't meant to be used very long. But then again that's why you can get 30 of them for 25 bucks. That's less than a grip a dollar and if you play serious tennis, you can expect to go through a couple every week, but other than that it's one of the best grips around.
From: Anon. 2/09

Comments: A classic. There simply is nothing like it. I have been a loyal TournaGripper since the early '90s, and simply will not use any other grip. With even mildly sweaty hands like mine, I can't afford to worry about my racquet slipping during a match, and TournaGrip is the only grip that gives me that sense of security, all the time. Wilson Pro, Yonex Super Grap, and Gamma Supreme, to name a few, absorb sweat decently, but no where near as proficiently as TournaGrip. Simply a winner.
From: Al, Boca Raton, Flordia. 1/09
NTRP Rating: 6.0 (Teaching pro)

Comments:I've been using this grip only in the summer because it is really good in the summer and when one side is done take it off and use the other side...in the winter this thing is a piece of junk that will give you so many blisters.
From: Ozzy jr., Ontario, USA. 12/08

Comments: Grip is alright, been using it for about 3 to 4 months and it's pretty shredded. After about an hour or two of play each time I get blisters in the middle of my palm on my middle finger and my thumb. You get what you pay for.
From: Steve, Somers, New York, USA. 11/08

Comments: I also COMPLETELY disagree with the other people. Tourna grip is the best grip in the world. It starts out nice and dry, and then you start playing and sweating, it absorbs your sweat so well that it gets a little bit tacky and a perfect comfortable grip.
From: Maurice, Key Biscayne, FL, USA, 10/08

Comments: I put on a brand new grip and it came apart while I was warming up!! 20 forehands and that was it!! Warning!! Do not by this grip!
From: HENRIK, Bodo, NORWAY. 9/08

Comments: It is a very good grip. I have tried other grips such as Wilson Pro Overgrip, but that grip did not do the job. It absorbs heat in hot months but in cold months it is a pain. It does not last very long but overall I think it is good.
From: Anon, USA. 8/08

Comments: It is a good grip. Agree that it has low durability but what is the big deal? it is less than a buck. It is like asking a cup of coffee to be durable.
From: mike, Washington, DC. 8/08

Comments: Although there are better grips out there, when it comes to absorbency this is the best one. It did give me blisters, though, and the durability is not so good, but it is comfortable too. I like Yonex Super Grap better.
From: Disuke, Chicago, IL, USA. 8/08

Comments: This grip is very cheap and it really sucks. I decided to try it out but it wore out the first 3 hours I've played. The best grips are PRINCE or BABOLAT because they last way way longer and are tacky.
From: Antonio, Monterey Bay, CA. 8/08

Comments: Awesome grip, but shreds too easily. Could be more tacky and/or durable.
From: anon. 7/08

Comments: I didn't like these very much. My hands and wrists sweat a lot, and these just seem to get very slimy and slick.
From: Rich, Atlanta, GA. 7/08

Comments: Tourna Grip is a joke. It gave me multiple blisters on my hand because the grip is too hard. It absorbs all the sweat that builds up on your palms and becomes even harder. You need the overgrip to be somewhat tacky and slippery to avoid blisters. I prefer Wilson Pro Overgrip.
From: Anon. 7/08

Comments: This is no doubt the best grip I have ever used it takes awhile for it to dirty and never slips out of my hand which always use to happen to me I totally suggest this grip for any one to improve their game.
From: Troy, USA, 06/08

Comments: The more your hands sweat, the better the grip gets. Don't use this grip in cool climates because it will rip your hand and cause blisters. It needs moisture to work its best.
From: Dan, Tempe, AZ, US. 6/08

Comments: This is the best grip I have ever used. It is the longest lasting grip out there and has the nicest feel.
From: Shaun, Riverside, Ca, USA. 6/08

Comments: I have very sweaty hands, and this overgrip absorbs it all after an hour of play, my hand feels quite dry. But, the grip already seen flays and holes on it. I'd personally seek something more durable since I'm just a beginning player and can not afford to change grip for every match.
From: Li. 4/08

Comments: Tourna Grip is the best grip - for an hour. After that, the grip starts to "shred." Also if you use this grip, be careful to have a soft replacement grip under it or it will give you blisters. I prefer the Wilson Pro Overgrip or the Yonex Supergrap.
From: Kathleen, Monterey Park, CA, USA. 4/08

Comments: Tourna grip is awesome! I have sweaty palms so the racket slipping out of my hand is always a problem. This grip totally solved my woes, but its durability is lacking. Try it out.
From: Joe, Shanghai, China, 03/08

Comments: The reason a lot of pros use it is because they can use it once and throw it out. The grip is very good; it is probably one of the best feeling ones out there, but the durability is really bad. After just one or two games it starts slipping and shredding. The Wilson pro is probably the best grip overall.
From: Jack, Chicago, Il, US. 12/07

Comments: First of all, I noticed a lot of comments were about how the grip wasn't tacky. It's not supposed to be. It's an absorbent overgrip, and it's made to provide maximum feedback from your racquet. The reason pros use it is because they don't pay for the grips, and so put a new one almost every match. But all this being said, I have tried many grips: Gamma Pro Overgrip, Wilson Pro Overgrip, Prince Microtac, Prince Microzorb, Tournagrip 2, Yonex Super Grap, and above all I keep coming back to these. Why? they work for me. the length isn't an issue for me, since I only need as much as it gives (one-handed backhand). If you don't like the length, buy the xl version! But for overall usefulness, this is without a doubt the best out there. Hopefully it will never be discontinued. I run through a 30 pack in about 3 months. I'm a 4.5 all court player.
From: Cody, Silvis, IL, USA. 12/07

Comments: Tourna Grip is certainly the best grip in production now. The feel of the grip is rough, but pleasant; it is absorbent but, contrary to popular opinion, also durable. It comes at a great price for 30 grips. They actually last forever because you can flip the grip around, and it feels almost the same. Buy this grip and play some awesome tennis.
From: Macapaca, Vietnam. 11/07

Comments: I have tried Wilson, Yonex, Gamma, and this grip. Focusing on absorbency only, Wilson is probably the best followed by this grip (Tourna), Yonex, and Gamma (which is terrible). The main problems with Tourna is that it is too short and tends to shred.
From: Andrew, Morristown, TN. 10/07

Comments: I do not agree with most of the people here; I think Tournagrip is a VERY good grip for the TYPE of grip it is. Of course it's not tacky, it's supposed to be a dry grip. If you want the tacky version of it, that is also available. The only problem with it is its durability. If you look for a durable tacky overgrip, try somewhere else. If you don't care about durability, but look for top of the line dry overgrips, this is the one for you!!
From: Seth, Granger, IN, USA, 09/07

Comments: This grip is harsh on the hands. Even my dad (yes, a regular tennis player), who loves working outdoors and has very tough hands, did not like the harsh feel of this grip. Unlike other dry grips, it does not seen to soften up over time, but these do not. I can't wait to be rid of it.
From: Wesley, Suffern, NY, USA. 6/07

Comments: This grip has just the right amount of tackiness and feel, but only for about one match. The durability is terrible and holes are present after a short amount of play. Unless you're willing to buy tons of this grip, switch to the Gamma Supreme Grip.
From: Louis, FL, USA. 3/07

Comments: Great grip. I love it; out of all the other grips I have tried (I.E. Wilson Pro Overgrip) the Tourna Overgrip is much better. It gives a really good grip on your hand while hitting groundstrokes, backhands, slices, etc. But then when it wears out you might feel as if your hand is getting a blister. That means you need to change your grip. I bought the Tourna because even though the other grips last longer, this overgrip is the best. Slip-Resistant.
From: Denny, San Jose, CA, USA. 3/07

Comments: After reading all your experiences I impulsively bought the pack and it has disappointed me a bit. I agree with most of you that the grip works very well in sweat absorption conditions and its quite comfortable . However, I agree with Andrew of St. Louis that is not tacky at all, that is what I want to feel when I replace my grip for a new one. It is not comfortable from the start of the installation process, in a middle of a game it's better at home with time and scissors. The durability is good and the price competitive. Try it and if you like it, buy the 30 pack.
From: Melendo, Barcelona, Spain. 3/07

Comments: I have very sweaty hands and this grip is the best! Yes the durability is bad and yes it gave me bad blisters the first few days after using it, but after trying many others including Wilson Pro Overgrip, Head and Gamma, I find that Tourna Grip works best for my sweaty hands!
From: Tie, SF, CA, USA. 3/07

Comments: It's great. It's the first time I bought it and it really makes my hand stick to the handle. Although, after using my racquet a few times, I noticed it started to lose it's color. But it doesn't matter, the package provides more than 1 overgrip. Overall, it's excellent. Why do you think Pete Sampras used to use it?
From: Alexis, Puerto Rico. 2/07

Comments: I've played with HEAD overgrips and Wilson ones and they last a pretty long time but the feel is not so good. Tourna is by far the best I've tried because it is so tacky. Sure it's durability could be better then it would be the ultimate grip but when you buy in 30, you don't run out easy and once I finish with one side, I just flip it over. It feels a bit different but not too bad. Then instead of 30 you'd have 60.
From: Marvin, Qld, Australia. 9/06

Comments: The sweat absorption is really awesome. And to be honest I don't care that it wears out pretty quick as the feeling is so great.
From: Richard, Rees, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany 06/06

Comments: I play tennis for about 3 to 4 hours everyday, and I'm currently on my High School's tennis team. I love playing with topspin, slice, and just hitting flat (messes others up). This grip wears out very quickly, no lie. It seems like a great grip at first but all good things must come to an end just like the tourna-grip. Yeah, pros use it, but they change their grips everyday! Or close to it. Just because the pros use it must mean it's good, and it is but the longevity is a disgrace.
From: Lymai, Hatfield, PA, USA 05/06

Comments: I have used a lot of grips and this grip is the best. It gives you very good feel and when the grip gets wet it still works ok. Best of the best
From: Ajeet Rai, New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand 05/06

Comments: This grip wore out before I could even test whether I liked it or not. Also it isn't good for a two handed backhands because it doesn't go all the way up the handle. I would not buy this grip again, If you find the Wilson pro overgrip too slippery when wet then just use a towel or something.
From: Dave, Sydney, NSW, Australia 04/06

Comments: No nonsense, no thrills. Without doubt the best overgrip in the universe. Best feel, best tackiness, best absorption. Durability is not too good, but replacing it means that you simply treat your hand to another tournagrip.
From: Jonny, UK 01/06

Comments: This grip is awesome. Hands down the best in comfort and playability, but its durability isn't that great. This grip really shines after you break it in. I don't even use regular grip, I just put two layers of Tournagrip and I'm ready to go. I hit with heavy topspins, so it always wear out really fast and tear near the butt cap. But other than that this grip is perfect!
From: Akilles, GA, USA. 12/05

Comments: The best overgrip. Excellent sweat absorption and feel. Love the color as well.
From: M. Balla, Vic, Australia. 9/05

Comments: Tournagrip is the best overgrip I have ever used. When new it is tacky and smooth, but it's after using it for a set or so (when it turns dark) then it really shines. I can get a good two weeks out of each grip before they rip badly. I don't know about this over other types of grip, but over the stock leather grip on my nSix-One Tour 90 it really completes the package. Highly recommended.
From: Greg, Dix Hills, NY, USA. 9/05

Comments: Tourna-Grip is the only grip that works when it gets wet with sweat. Everything else, Yonex Super Grap, Wilson Pro Grip, etc, slip in your hand when they get wet. With Tourna-Grip, you can still hold onto the racket when its hot, humid and WET. No, it doesn't last forever, but grips that do last a long time slip when they get really wet. If you don't have any money, buy something else, but don't expect the same performance as Tourna-Grip.
From:Brad, Atlanta, GA, USA. 8/05

Comments: A good grip, but it wears out pretty fast especially if you have sweaty hands. Not tacky at all.
From:Andrew St. Louis, MO, USA. 8/05

Comments: Tourna grip absorbs lot of sweat but its durability is horrible. Although I like the feeling of Wilson Pro Overgrip (white) better, I use Tounra grip more often since it's cheap. I would recommend this grip.
From: Bob, Timonium, MD, USA. 08/05

Comments: I am number one in Boy's 12's in the nation and as you can probably imagine, I play a lot. I dislike this grip very much. It gives you blisters, and is not very comfortable to play with. I would recommend trying a Wilson Pro Overgrip, which I have switched to, or Gamma grips.
From:Denis, Fairfax, VA, USA. 8/05

Comments: I've tried the Yonex SuperGrap, and Wilson Pro overgrips, but both do not come close to Tournagrip's sweat absorption. I keep going back to Tournagrip. It is the only overgrip that does not blister my hands like those other popular tacky overgrips. The Tournagrip is best used with a leather grip for best feel and sweat absorption. Tournagrip is also very thin, so it does not add bulk to your grip. It is no wonder Tournagrip has been around for so many years, it is simply proven itself as the best overgrip of all. Just ask Mr. Sampras.
From: Gus, Sun Valley, CA, USA. 7/05

Comments: I dislike this grip! I just switched to Yonex and love it! Don't ever use this grip! I am the number 1 tennis player at MUS the top tennis team in Tennessee and I dislike this grip! Please take my word for it!
From: Bob Conley, Cordova, TN, USA. 7/05

Comments: I regularly use the pro-over grip (Wilson) and this Tourna grip, so this is sort of a comparison. I use the pro-over grip more than anything cause it matches my racquet (nSixone 90), although I could get a white Tourna grip, it doesn't feel the same as blue to me. The pro grips are a little more tacky which may or may not be a good thing. With the Tourna grips, I never feel like its so tacky that I can't change grip in the middle of a pt. easy, but because of its super absorbency, after like two shots, the grip "breaks in" and becomes perfect combination of tackiness/dryness. It's also the greatest feeling over leather, but make sure your leather is good quality otherwise it feels too beveled. In my mind I say if you want a nice solid grip that'll hold through sweaty hands and a hard match this is the thing, its not too durable, but the awesome-ness of the grip more than makes up for it. I feel like even torn these grips feel better than a dirty pro over grip that's totally smooth and hard to grip onto. Best bang for your buck, try them out!
From: Aamir, Beaver Dam, WI, USA, 06/05

Comments: This grip gives you blisters, can be hard to wrap, and just doesn't do much. I find that a better sweat absorbing grip with great feel is Prince Microzorb. This grip is absolutely terrible.
From: Guy, Princeton, NJ, USA. 06/05

Comments: I don't really like the TournaGrip that much. It has such bad durability. I Re-gripped my racquet after a coaching lesson. Later, after a 2 hour match a couple days after the purple grip had turned to a very dark purple/black colour. Even though it may be sweat absorbent my racquet sometimes still slipped during shots. I won't buy TournaGrip again.
From: Ollie, Hampshire, England

Comments: It can feel a little dry at times, and the durability could be better, but it is definitely a great grip. It absorbs sweat better than any other grip. I love it.
From: Jack, USA. 04/05

Comments: This is the 2nd greatest grip I used, very sweat absorbent, but durability last for about a week's play. The 1st would be Yonex Super Grap Overgrip, I would rate it a little higher than the Tourna. But still the Tourna is great!
From: David, Fair Lawn, NJ, USA. 03/05

Comments: I can simply say that I just love this grip. I can most definitely see why that the top players use this grip. I would recommend this grip.
From: Alex, RR, NC, USA. 03/05

Comments: Great overgrip, gives excellent feel, absorbs sweat like no other. The pros use it and I can see why.
From: Ray, Laval, Quebec, Canada. 02/05

Comments: Tournagrip is the only grip I'll use. They are really comfortable and absorb sweat well, but they wear out quick. I go through at least one a week.
From: George, GA, USA. 02/05

Comments: This is by far the best grip I've used yet. It excels in absorbing sweat, feel, and prevents your hand from slipping. The only gripe that I got is that it gives me calluses and it is not very durable.
From: Ralph Pablico, Longwood, FL, USA. 01/05

Comments: This grip has an awesome feel. I enjoy playing with it since it absorbs sweat so well. Personally I think the grip plays better when used. Tourna you did a great job in making this grip.
From: Justin, Odessa, TX, USA. 10/04

Comments: This is a great grip. It absorbed my sweat instantly. This lasted me for two weeks because I don't sweat much. For those of you who sweat a lot, I wouldn't recommend this grip
From: Damian Tran, Garden Grove, Ca, USA. 10/04

Comments: Tournagrip is probably the best overgrip I've ever tried, but it does wear out very easily. It absorbs moisture very well, and feels very nice almost like its slightly sticky, but it's not. But, like I said it is not very durable at all and will probably have to be replaced fairly frequently.
From: Tony, MA, USA. 09/04

Comments: In terms of absorbency, feel, and preventing slipping, Tourna Grip is the best. As for durability, Tourna Grip is the worst!
From: Ryano, Jakarta, Indonesia. 9/04

Comments: This is a great grip. Everyone was using it so I gave it a try. Overall, it's amazing.
From: Colin, Anchorage, AK, USA. 8/04

Comments: Tournagrip has the best feel out there of any overgrip. It's soft and smooth. It is indeed the best overgrip for moisture. My hands are dry when using this grip and I like the way it makes me fell secure. But of course, these grips are not meant to be durable. I put a hole in the overgrip after 6 sets and some warm-up time. This is OK for me since I like the feel of a new grip but I have to admit, these are pretty pricey if you play a lot. Overall, a good overgrip if you like a dry, smooth and soft grip.
From: Ben, Elyria, OH, USA. 08/04

Comments: I use Tournagrip very often. In fact its my favorite. Someone said that they don't last very long but that is the whole point they are meant to be used for only 1 tournament hence the name (Tourna). I feel that these grips are the best possible that you will find on the market but for the better durability but slightly less grip go for Babolat or Pacific grips.
From: James, England. 8/04

Comments: Very nice grip. It has a nice feel to it and absorbs my sweat quite well.
From: Bjorn, Stockholm, Sweden. 07/04

Comments: I am 12 years old and I constantly change my grip because I absolutely can't stand a sweaty grip. Tourna grip is by far my favorite overgrip for absorption. This grip dominates all other grips such as Yonex super grap, and Wilson pro overgrip. I highly recommend this grip for any competitive player.
From: Taylor, Jacksonville, FL, USA. 07/04

Comments: I would not recommend this grip. It does not last very long and feels too rough. I would prefer either Yonex Super Grap, Gamma Supreme, or Wilson Pro Grip. They all last a lot longer and feel nicer.
From: Alex, Gladstone, Michigan, USA. 7/04

Comments: I don't see what the big fuss is about over Tourna grip. The grip is the most durable grip but I feel that the grip is still good. I have used the Yonex grip and the Wilson grip and I can assure you that the grips are better but only for a period of time. I don't know about others but I like to keep my grips on for at least a good 2-3 weeks. I feel that Tourna grips is the only grip that allows your hand to feel the same comfort through out its use. Also, in my opinion the grip actually feels better when used.
From: Gupta, Naperville, Il, USA

Comments: Tourna Grip is a very good grip, very comfortable, and is very absorbent, but it lasts less than a week. That's the major problem of Tourna Grip
From: Jose, Portugal. 5/04

Comments: Personally, I do not know why people find Tourna Grip so good. I am a varsity tennis player, and every time I use this grip, I find that I have to change it every 3 days or so. Do not buy this grip, buy Yonex Super Grap, it lasts longer, is tackier, and better overall.
From: Fred. 5/04

Comments: This is a very good grip, which absorbs sweat very well. I highly recommended it. However, the durability of the grip isn't superb.
From: John, Vancuver, British Columbia, Canada. 5/04

Comments: Tournagrip is grip is by far the best, but it has no durability. It comes off in about a week or so. If you buy this grip, get the pack with at least 20 grips or more.
From: Blake, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. 3/04

Comments: I don't find the grip that fantastic. After using it for three times (each session I played was for three hours) the grip was totally soaked and changed to a darker blue thanks to all my sweat. But, the grip is really good to hold, and it has a nice feel to it.
From: David, Australia. 2/04

Comments: This is a great grip. I strongly recommend this grip to anyone whose hand is always slipping off the racquet. Put this overgrip on your racquet and you won't have any more problems.
From: Martin, Birmingham, AL, USA. 2/04

Comments: I just love this grip. It is comfortable and stays dry no matter what. The durability is somewhat of an issue, though. At one point I gave this grip up because of the durability. I tried many different overgrips and replacement grips. I had to come back to this one. It is the best on the market, even in cold weather.
From: Matt, NC, USA. 1/04

Comments: This grip feels pretty good. One day at practice I needed a new grip, and my coach put this one on for me. I fell in love with it. However, just after an hour of hitting, the grip started shredding badly. I may have gotten a defective one, but I hate its durability. I would not buy this grip.
From: Larry, Los Angeles, CA, USA. 1/04

Comments: I tried a lot of different overgrips and Tourna is the best, especially in hot weather!
From: Max, Hadera, ISRAEL. 1/04

Comments: Like they say, a classic never goes out of style. This grip will stand up to or surpass any of the fancier and more expensive overgrips out there. If the pros have been using it for years, there's got to be something good about it. In my experience, there are overgrips that will last longer but you'll sacrifice performance. If TournaGrip can improve it's durability, it'll put the rest of them out of business.
From: Gil, Burbank, CA, USA. 12/03

Comments: I have been using Tourna Grip my whole life and I have tried all the others. They don't stand a chance against Tourna Grip. It works really well if you sweat a lot. Also, it is really cheap, but they last about a week.
From: Jimmy, Port Saint Lucie, FL, USA. 12/03

Comments: I used to use mostly Wilson grips, but the tack was so uncomfortable. Tourna grip is by far the best grip out there. It's extremely comfortable and very absorbent.
From: Ben, Chanute, KS, USA. 11/03

Comments: Tourna Grip offers the best of both worlds. I like the feel of the grip, and the racquet never slips out of my hands as a result of the grip. Even when it gets all ripped up after a lot of play, the grip gets even better than when I put it on. This is my pick for the best grip no doubt about it!
