X-One BiPhase is defined by its velvety comfort and easy power. This version comes in a black color, giving it slightly more control than the standard version. According to Tecnifibre, "the X-One Biphase string uses High Heat Capacity (H2C) fibers which allows the use of an innovative chemical treatment process called Trimerization. This new process increases the cohesion between chemical molecule links through extreme variations in temperature to result in ultimate dynamic efficiency (power) and exceptional feel. The patented Biphasic process, with its visible marks on the string, extends string life by 20% and offers increased spin. Similar to its leading string, NRG2, the multifilament fibers within this string are immersed in polyurethane to provide shock absorption and optimum comfort." This color update to one of the game's most iconic multifilaments checks all the right boxes. In addition to delivering maximum levels of comfort and outstanding tension maintenance, X-One BiPhase Black delivers the kind of controllable power that inspires confidence on full swings.

Worth the tryHaving played tennis for many years and going through many string and racquet combinations, I have landed on this string to the benefit of my game more than any other. It gives a "pocket" feel to each hit, as though I get a 1/4 second longer on impact than other strings. Granted, tension plays a role in this too (I play at 48 pounds) but under the same tension, a poly string doesn't respond the same. This is a multifilament string, meaning it is made up of 100's or more of fine stands. It does wear faster. It does get a fuzzy look to it where you normally contact the ball. (the advantage here is showing you where normally hit the ball) It is pricey string too, but all in all, the results are worth it to me. If you have settled on a racquet and a tension, this is a good next step to try. NRG plays similarly as well.
