Solinco Hyper-G Soft 17/1.20 String 1/2 Set
5.0
Overview
| This is the pre-packaged half set of Pro Hurricane for hybrid use. Pro Hurricane is a polyester based durability string designed to meet the needs of top tournament players. For Pro Hurricane, Babolat has introduced a new construction process called Technology XFP which utilizes Babolat's latest string material Xtrem Futur Polymer. Babolat recommends using Pro Hurricane as the main string, but this string works well as either a main or a cross string. For comfortable durability use a soft multifilament such as Babolat X-Cel in the crosses or take it to the max with VS Gut in the crosses. For an emphasis on comfort and control, reverse the main/cross combinations listed above.
Pro Hurricane is the string of choice for Andy Roddick (Hybridizes with Pro Hurricane mains and VS Gut crosses), Fernando Gonzalez, Ivan Ljubicic, and Ashley Harkleroad. Please note this is a half set of string and must be combined with another half set of string for a complete string job. If you have questions please give us a call. |

Customer Reviews
Nothing bad to sayI got the Hyper-G soft (52 pounds) for easing my teen into playing poly. I put on the mains and Babolat multifilament (54 pounds) on the crosses of his Wilson Blade 100 v9. Feels great. Still a lot of power if you hit the sweet spot. Arm friendly set up but slices amazing.
StringsExcellent service. Will always comeback to TW.

Comments: I've been using BPH 16g strings for years. Use Wilson Triad Technology racquets. I'm on my 4th generation of racquets. I string both mains and crosses at 60 lbs. The Triad racquet gives a lot. These strings never break and have great pop. I'm not much of a top-spin player, but do have a great serving-lefty spin. Level 4.0 USTA. Tried other poly's but nothing compares. 3-4 times/week playing require 6-8 week restringing. Strings loose their tension after that. 1-2 times/week can go 4-5 months.

Comments: I found this string really springy with little feel. It loses tension really quickly. The strings don’t move at all. You can create lots of power although it is hard to control the ball with them, even strung at a higher tension. I would not recommend this string for anyone who wants to hit the ball in the court more than twice in a row.
