Overview

Although the aim of most companies is to produce top tier paddles, not all continue to push the envelope in terms of tirelessly improving them. Six Zero, a small producer of high quality pickleball paddles, has done exactly that; produced yet another top performing paddle with their Double Black Diamond Infinity! Utilizing the elongated shape, and a Thermo-Formed design, the Double Black Diamond Infinity is a bit more control oriented relative to the livelier Black Diamond Infinity. There is not a drastic difference in their respective power levels, but is noticeable, and relates mostly to the use of Toray 700K Raw Carbon, instead of a composite face material. Six Zero pairs the Black Diamond Infinity with a 16mm Polypropylene Core, with the perimeter of it being encased by Six Zero's Specialized Foam Injection. Together, both push the limits of sweet spot size, almost to the edge of the Infinity's rim, and provides an even response across the entire paddle face. Each Six Zero Infinity paddle is an individual work, and not an assembly line effort, with the intent of producing gold medal quality paddles. If your aim is to play your best, and prefer a little more core control rather than power, plus incredible spin potential, the Six Zero Double Black Diamond Infinity will surely deliver that and more.

Not for me!Using an edgeless paddle was a new experience for me, so take this review with a grain of salt. I truly didn't like how this paddle felt comparing to my previous paddles, such as the Diadem Edge18k pro and the Thrive Azul. I have may have hit the ball 5 or 6 times, but that was enough to know that this type of a paddle would require a much longer adjustment period than I am accustomed to.
