A high performance tennis shoe that blends comfort, support, and a stable ride. Co-created with the Swiss legend himself, Roger Federer.

ON enters the high performance tennis footwear market with the ON The Roger Pro, a design influenced by Roger Federer himself! These shoes are built for the player who can hit all the shots and embodies nimble, balanced movement on the court. Already known for its comfortable yet responsive cushioning with its running shoes, ON carries that over into these premium court shoes, while also focusing on making them very supportive and stable. A unique design feature is the 100% carbon fiber Speedboard located in the midfoot shank region, which gives explosive energy return and also creates a more stable ride. The upper features Engineered Mesh for enhanced breathability and a supportive fit, while the outsole rubber supplies a blend of durability, traction and tread catered to those who slide on the gritty hard courts.

  • Upper: Synthetic material combined with Engineered Mesh providing breathability, and a supportive fit. Midfoot cage helps to lock-in the foot for even more support.
  • Midsole: 100% carbon fiber Speedboard supplies energy return and creates a more stable ride. High performance foam for cushioning and tennis specific responsiveness. Sidestep support and extended bottom unit to increase lateral stability.
  • Outsole: Outsole pattern is designed to optimize traction, but also allow for sliding on the hard courts when needed.
  • Color: White / Blue

Amending my reviewEarlier this month I wrote a tough review of these shoes. I had only played 10 hours in them and was feeling the burn of new shoes. The side wall was digging into my toes while breaking them in during a national level 1 tournament and I was ready to walk away (barefoot). However, after many more hours playing in these I have come around. The issues I had out the gate have since succeeded and my feet feel great in them. Good sliding and good change of direction. Good shoe.

Looks great but that's all.The fit is uncomfortable at the Bunionette (bone below pinky toe) on my right feet.

Good shoe but….I bought these bad puppies for the grass court nationals level 1. They are a stylish shoe and perform well but… my only hang up is that the siding on the toe box hurts my toe during long points and aggressive movement out of corners. I actually loved the original version of the shoe where most of the toe box was mesh. They slide pretty well and overall solid for recreational players.

Perfect for MeThese tennis shoes are great for my foot shape. I typically go for minimal, light tennis shoes, so I was skeptical because of the weight listed, but they play much lighter on the foot somehow. Very breathable, with plenty of support and not too much padding. Nice and responsive! These would be 5 stars for me except for the price, and the small tab on the outside front of the foot and irritate slightly after long sessions. Hope these go on sale so I can snag another pair.

Not worth itAfter just five matches in two weeks the soles are significantly worn out. I will need to buy another pair of shoes soon. Paying $200 for a shoe that lasts a month or two is ridiculous. Don’t waste you money.

Too tight and painfulThese are very snug. They do feel durable, but almost with too much durability to the point where there is no flexibility. I have played tennis for 10 years and have always stuck with the Nike Vapor line, but decided to give these a try because of their style and popularity. Warming up is okay but once I have to move more and compete in tournaments, my feet are aching so bad I have to take them off during my breaks. The plastic decoration on the pinky area has no forgiveness on my toes when it comes to lateral movements.

Good Looks; Lacks Any Comfort; OVERPRICEDBought a pair of these on spec, EVEN AFTER reading the reviews on lack of sole cushioning and comfort. They are NOT a $200 pair of tennis shoes; they ARE an overpriced street shoe, which is how I will use them... but only AFTER putting in a pair of orthopedic insoles for better comfort. Play tennis in these? Nope!

Not comfortableToo stiff, no cushion, not responsive!

Could be expensive and goodCould be expensive and good, but there are expensive and not good. They don't live up to the performance expectations—especially at this price point. I purchased them for my son, a junior pro player, as an alternative to the Yonex Eclipsion shoes he’s been wearing consistently for the past two years. While these shoes are undeniably eye-catching and made with high-quality materials, their performance was disappointing. On court, they felt clunky, overly stiff, and restrictive. They’re quite heavy and make lateral movement and forward running difficult due to their lack of flexibility. The carbon plate seems excessively rigid, preventing natural foot movement. Despite giving them a fair chance, my son ultimately refused to wear them—they simply didn’t improve with time or break in. These shoes might work better for recreational players who prioritize looks over performance, but they’re not ideal for serious competitive play.
