Nike Vapor Pro 3 Racer Blue/Black Men's Shoes
This third gen Vapor Pro has been updated with improved comfort and even more support, while remaining speedy and flexible as you move.
Nike has listened to player feedback, from the pro tour to the public parks, and designs the Nike Vapor Pro 3 to be more supportive and even more comfortable than previous versions. The addition of a mid-foot band increases the lock-down, while also adding support for aggressive lateral cuts. For an even cushier ride Nike injects a Zoom Air hex unit under the highest impact zone; adding a responsive pillow where you need it most. Allowing for more flexibility in the forefoot, Nike has redesigned the TPU with a deeper notch to make for a speedier feel when pushing off. Increasing the durability, Hart rubber compound has been added to the outsole, as well as the toe-tip and eyestay (think foot-drag). A data informed herringbone outsole supplies ideal levels of grip without taking away from those who slide into their shots!
- Upper: Durable mesh allows for breathability and comfort. Rubberized TPU reinforces drag zones of the upper for protection, and reduces slippage when sliding on hardcourts.
- Midsole: Hex forefoot Zoom Air unit strategically placed in highest impact zone (metatarsal head). Re-engineered lateral TPU with deeper flex groove for easier flex during push-off.
- Outsole: A data informed herringbone tread pattern, now with Hart rubber compound that delivers more durability. Tread pattern allows for an ideal balance of grip and give for traction and hard court sliding.
- Color: Racer Blue / Black

Customer Reviews
- More comfort (definitely less fatigue after long play) but feels a bit numb.
- Perceived increase in durability.
- Weight feels about the same or slightly heavier.
- Feel more "on" the shoes than "in" the shoes (if that makes any sense).
- Presence of the shoe feels larger (not like clown shoes, but they feel larger).
I honestly feel like I've been spoiled by the Vapor 9.5/X (especially the 9.5 which remain one of my favorite tennis shoes of all time), but these were good enough for me to use as a replacement...and hopefully Nike will bring back a shoe like the Vapor 9.5s in the future (without the ridiculous price tag of the Vapor 12s).
