Left a residue on the gripFelt really good and kept the grip pretty dry. But it left thin patches of the tape on the grip after I removed it. Also it was pretty much done and falling off after one set.

Could not be worseThis grip was terrible in all areas. Just wrapping the grip around the handle stretched out the grip and made it crumble to bits. It crumbled in my hand in one set.

Previous Feedback

Comments: As everyone else has said, this grip falls apart within minutes. Pretty shameful Luxilon has done nothing to improve this product after years of it being criticized. Stick to strings!
From: Anonymous, 10/23/21

Comments: Bought a 30 pack of these thinking they'd be similar quality as Tourna Dry. The quality of these is unacceptable. The grip crumbles as you unravel it. It is honestly a defective product that is unusable. I can't even put it on a racquet.

Comments: This is by far the worst overgrip. It flakes and basically comes apart immediately. It feels like I am wrapping a paper towel over my grip. What a waste of money.
From: Anonymous, 8/30/21

Comments: The material deteriorated as soon as I opened the package. I cannot recommend buying this product, as I couldn't even apply it to my racquet without it falling apart.
From: Anh, Buffalo, NY 8/12/21

Comments: Pretty bad - it shreds after less than an hour of light hitting. People have been almost uniformly panning this product in the feedback for close to 4 years. You would think that would be more than enough time for Luxilon to do something about it.
From: Sandy, Alberta, Canada 8/8/21

Comments: Without question, the worst overgrip I have ever purchased. Firstly it's not long enough to easily cover most modern extra length grips. But this is a minor quibble. The main problem with this overgrip is its woeful longevity. I put this on my racquet and did a short practice session on the wall for half an hour. The overgrip already started to fray ans wear. I then played one set and it wore down completely and I had to replace it. Even Tournagrip has much better longevity. Even worse, the feel of the overgrip was terrible. You never really felt like your grip was secure. Luxilon should stick to making strings.

Comments: I bought six 12 packs 2.5 years ago for clients who use these around Christmas 2018. The first one stretched like it was melted bubble gum on a hot summer sidewalk. I tried another one, same problem. So I took my sweet time and slowly installed a third one. It didn't last a game, it shredded. I called Wilson and was told they weren't warrantied. I told them I didn't want a warranty, I want them to stop selling defective grips to other people. I still have 69 worthless Luxilon Elite Overgrips and will be happy to share with my friends so they don't buy this defective excuse for an overgrip. Wilson Pro Overgrip works great, but run away from the Luxilon Elite Dry Overgrips.
From:Greg, 5/11/21

Comments: Quality control since the last time I bought these went out the window. They started cracking and falling apart when putting them on. When I took it off it left a bunch of pieces on my grip. Last time I got them they were great but know I would not purchase again. They need to fix this.
From:Rick, 4/6/21

Comments: I'm going to echo everyone else here. Don't buy these. I wish I would have read these before I decided to try these. After warm ups, I literally showed the grips to my playing partners and said this was the worst grip I've ever used. I have to throw the rest of them away. Not only did the grip not last even one set, but the grip deteriorated, and stuck to my leather grip and I can't get that off.
From:James, 2/4/21

Comments: That's the worse overgrip I've ever used in my life. It didn't last more than 15 minutes, literary. I had to change it in the middle of the first set. I've sent Luxilon a message and I'll do so every time I used each of the 11 overgrips I still have. I'm really, really disappointed. I'd recommend TW to stop selling this.
From:Francisco, 11/22/20

Comments: I normally don't write reviews, but this overgrip is so bad that I felt I needed to alert potential buyers. I put a new one on and by the end of a 10 minute warm up it was already falling apart, leaving grey powder in my hands and the overgrip completely destroyed. Horrible quality. Now I am concerned about quality control on the strings. Luxilon fix it or stop selling it.
From:Miguel, 10/22/20

Comments: Trash. The grip won't get you through the warmup of a match. Buy Tourna Grip XXL and you're good to go.
From:Sean, 10/12/20

Comments: Do not buy these overgrips, this is a defective serial from Luxilon for sure, a 40 something dollar product lacks of quality. I can't believe that 4G, my go-to string, can be related to the quality of this overgrip, I'm sure are defective.
From:Hugo, 9/23/20

Comments: I bought a three pack and it was so good better than Tourna Grip. Then I ordered the biggest pack and it became the worst grip I have ever used. It would break down in 15 minutes of play and when I remove it, part of it sticks on the racquet grip. Can't believe that Luxilon makes bad products like this.
From:Hisham, 8/25/20

Comments: I tried many grips on the market, including the Tourna Grip that's supposed to be like the Luxilon Elite Dry. After applying the Luxilon Elite Dry on my Babolat racquet it shredded within 15 minutes, it's literally the worst overgrip I have ever tried. I use Luxilon strings, so I was expecting a quality product coming from the same brand.
From:Greg, 8/23/20

Comments: These unraveled like gauze within 45 minutes. With the unraveled part of the grip, it was still playable. On that note, they did absorb reasonably well, but shortly after, the overgrip folded over and exposed the undergrip, which created an awkward bump in the center of my palm. This happened twice. I had given these a chance based on the reputation of the strings, but I am sorely disappointed in the quality. There are other grips on the market aimed at high-humidity training.
From:Jordan, 8/9/20

Comments: I just received the three pack and I took a chance. The older reviews of this product look great and I really wanted a grey version of Tourna Grip. But just as all the more recent reviews have suggested the grips are defective. I wasn't even able to unravel it from the package without it cracking and falling apart in my hand, like it's been baking in the sun for years and has gotten destroyed. It literally flakes and cracks like a rubber band that's super old, and so all that is left is stretched out cloth from the underside. I do hope Luxilon fixes this issue as I'd love to try these out they way they are suppose to work.
From:Ryan, 7/3/20

Comments: I feel as though I was given a defective product. I have used this product in the past as a college player and it worked quite while and lasted for about 10-15 hours, not great, but acceptable for my play style with a dry grip. However, my last purchase included about 50 grips. All of which I have found last minutes in my hands. I used one today and noticed it started shedding before I had played the third point of the match. There is something seriously wrong with this grip.
From:Andrew, 6/18/20

Comments: When I got a sample grips with one my Luxilon string sets, the grips lasted almost as long as the Tourna Grip. So during a Christmas sale I bought three or four rolls of 30 grips and they don't last five minutes. They become velvety and almost like a cloth, if that is the way to describe it. Also when installing this grip when I tried to stretch it on the replacement grip, there are lots of micro-cracking and the top layer of the grip really peels off even before using the overgrip.
From:Serge, 2/23/20

Comments: I have used and love these. Then I bought them from a different source and thought I was getting counterfeit merchandise or something until the vendor pointed me here to show it is a systemic issue. Yes they used to hold up well but now within 5 minutes of use they start to turn "fuzzy" and disintegrate. Not sure what Luxilon did with their product formulation/manufacturing process but I have never been so disappointed by a product! It is absolutely unusable!
From:Jeff, 8/13/19

Comments: I play with and love Luxilon's strings, but these basically fall apart within an hour of use and provide no substantial grip. This is a shockingly poor quality product.
From:Eddie, 6/9/19

Comments: I have ordered this product several times and been happy with it, but the last lot virtually disintegrated as I put it on. Not able to use at all, very disappointing.
From:Annabel, 5/17/19

Comments: When I first put it on, it felt great! Nice and cushioned, seemed like it would be absorbent. That lasted about ten minutes. Then it started to break down. After 30 minutes, it was like I had all grey matter left when you scratch off a lottery ticket. I don't know if my batch was old and dry rotted, or if they are all like this. I'll go back to Tourna Grip yet again. I don't know why I keep trying to find one better.
From:Clayton, 4/11/19

Comments: I tried these overgrips hoping they might do an even better job of staying dry than the Wilson Pro Comfort Overgrips, but I was disappointed. It played well for a few hours, but after that it lost its tackiness and stayed really wet. They also tore pretty quickly, I think the Wilson Pro Grips are still a lot better.
From:Riley, 4/11/19

Comments: Great, but only for approximately 10 hours. After that, they are the more slippery than an ice cube drenched in oil. The first hours are great and these grips have great tack while absorbing everything. Tourna is way better and won't break the bank.
From:Chris, 4/11/19

Comments: Horrible overgrip. Not up to Luxilon quality in my opinion. I bought them 3 different times. They are so brittle and only last 5 minutes each. The first time I tried them, I liked the first one. So, I got more in 30 packs. But I am completely disappointed. And stuck with 120 overgrips that don't work for me. Luxilon, please do not make overgrips, just stay with strings.

Comments: For a big name such as Luxilon, the Elite Dry grips are simply below par. Extremely disappointed at how the grip started shredding off under 2 hours of play. The company needs to seriously look into it.
From:Ani, 2/21/19

Comments: Not sure if I got a bad batch or what, I've never had issues with Tourna Grip shredding after just 1.5 hours of play, like Luxilon has. I tried both sides of the grip and both shredded/frayed at an unreal pace. At this rate, I'll need a fresh one for each day I go out and hit. Looks like I'm going back to Tourna Grip.
From:Francisco, 12/3/18

Comments: Can't recommend. Shredding down by the buttcap after a week and a half. And it has become slippery way too quickly.
From:Pete, 7/7/18

Comments: I compared this grip with the dry feel of Tourna Original but with added durability. Tourna shreds a lot faster than this one. One very pleasant surprise is that the flip side felt tackier and better to me than the dry side. At first I thought that Luxilon placed the starting tape in the wrong side of the grip. Do not know yet how durable it will be.
From:Eric, 4/10/18

Comments: I bought this overgrip based on Luxilon's well known name. I've been using Yonex Supergrap. This one is sandy feeling, not enough cushion for me -- I'm very disappointed. Learned my lesson, will stay with Yonex.
From:Nick, 9/16/17

Comments: When I hear Luxilon, I think of Big Banger strings. So, when I bought these overgrips, I didn't know what to expect. To keep this short, like what others have stated, these feel like Tourna Grip at first and then the tackiness subsides and it feels like Yonex Supergrap. I've always used Supergrap, but they've given me calluses like no other. This grip feels phenomenal in the hand and so far, it's held up its durability after 3 days of hitting. I live in Thailand where the humidity averages at 80% and I have extremely sweaty palms; even when I write. I'd recommend these if you like tournagrip or Yonex Supergrap. It feels thicker than tourna and thinner than Yonex. Give it a try.
From:Alex, 9/7/17

Comments: I love my Yonex Super Graps but in extreme sweaty conditions they were prone to slipping. Luxilon Elite Dry grips are elite! And they feel fresh after a few sweaty sessions when they dry.
From:Hector, 8/27/17

Comments: I m a 5.0 player and after trying almost all the overgrips, this is the best one for me. It's a dry overgrip, feels like Tourna Grip but has better durability.
From:Paulo, 6/22/17

Comments: This feels like a thicker, more velvety Tourna Grip (imagine Tourna where you don't stretch the grip at all). Good sweat absorption and doesn't become slippery when wet like a Wilson Pro OG or Yonex Supergrap. Very good durability, doesn't wear the way Tourna does where the surface frays and the edges start turning up. Cons: a little too thick for my liking and hate the grey.
From:Wayne, 3/29/17

Comments: Tourna Grip has been my go to grip for years. I've tried Babolat VS grips, Wilson Pro grips, Yonex Super Grap and Solino Heaven grips but always went back to Tourna...until now. The Luxilon Elite grip feels very similar to Tourna but is more plush, comfortable and durable in my experience. If you like the feel of Tourna but want to try something different (and in my opinion, better), give the Luxilon Elite grip a try.
