Overview

Introducing Kirschbaum Flash, a comfortably firm co-poly that delivers surgical targeting on full swings. With its predictable response, this co-poly will enable you to take massive cuts at the ball when going for extra power and spin. The fact that it has above average comfort for a poly-based monofilament is a nice bonus. At under $10.00, Flash is an outstanding value.

  • Gauge: 16/1.30mm
  • Length: 40ft/12.2m
  • Composition: Co-polyester monofilament
  • Color: Black, Green, Orange, Pink, Yellow

Update to 12/12/23 ReviewI had the chance to hit with this string a second time after my racquet had sat in my bag a few days following my first hitting session. This time around, I could tell tension had dropped just slightly and that the string had really "settled in." Wow, I feel like the string really came alive and I quite enjoy it, especially for the price point. Pocketing felt more pronounced and spin potential appeared to improve as well. Further, Kirschbaum Flash is comfortable and very predictable. There is no single outstanding aspect of the string; it just does everything well. Great option for anyone interested in a comfortable poly. Would recommend. Strung the 1.30mm yellow version at 52/49 in Yonex Vcore Pro 97D with a leather grip.

Flash Yellow 1.30mmThis string is a good value. Spin potential is average, but quite good for a rounded poly. Launch angle and comfort are both average. Flash is predictable, with good pocketing and power. Nothing about this string is outstanding, but it does everything well. I would compare this to Hyper-G Soft in terms of its muted feel. However, unlike Hyper-G Soft, Flash is playable directly off the stringer and only takes 30-60 minutes to settle in. I cannot speak to tension maintenance, but Kirschbaum is historically above average in this department. Strung at 52/49 in a Yonex Vcore Pro 97D. I would drop the tension a couple pounds next time to get a slightly softer response. 4.0 all-court player.
