Favorite Joola Paddle And ShapeFirst off major kudos to Pickleball Warehouse. Their selection, customer service and turnaround speeds are some of the best in the industry (and definitely better than my local stores). The Joola Agassi Pro has a very generous sweet spot which makes it very forgiving for off center shots. I'm not sure if it's just marketing and placebo, but the sweet spot did feel a little further up the paddle which made things very comfortable and natural for me (coming over from tennis). The power is there and felt very linear... meaning the soft shots had great touch and feel, medium shots to punch volleys were responsive and poppy, and full drives resulted in plenty of power and ball pocketing. Shots toward the edges didn't die out like a Gen 1/1.5 paddle, but instead still had enough oomph to get mishits over the net. Overall this paddle is very impressive. It did feel a little looser and hotter all around after a couple weeks of play. The paint on the edge guard scrapes pretty easily which is a bummer, so a nice clear edge guard is recommended. And while swing and twist weights were on the lower end, it performed better than most others with higher numbers. I did end up adding 3g on each side around the 4/8 positions.
Joola Agassi ProI’ve demoed and played seven different brands of paddles. The Agassi Pro IV 14mm has the most power and sweet spot. However, it doesn't fit my game. I have too much power from my swing, which is difficult to control when I'm not 100% synced. I came from a tennis background and needed a paddle with more control and less power. I will try a Paddletek.
