Name Brand Syn Gut for lessI've used Prince Syn Gut DuraFlex 16G in various colors, Babolat Syn Gut 16/17G White or Black, Head Syn Gut 16G Black and now this Head Syn Gut 17G in Gold and Black. They both play slightly softer and less powerful then the Prince and the Babolat. The Gold plays slightly softer than the Black, but both are very comfortable strings. The Gold is a yellowish clear/transparent string. Looks Fantastic!! Unfortunately they don't look good hybrid w each other, otherwise, they play fine for Syn Gut! I had it in a 2020 Babolat Pure Drive Team, that usually needs a dampener if I use any Poly string in. This string is comfortable enough, such that I don't need one at all. Which says something about the comfort of this string! I strung this string at 52# for reference.

great price for pretty good syn gutstill breaking in these strings but so far it's been pretty good. Grip is pretty good and gives a good amount of top spin. For this price it's impossible to beat.
Head Synthetic Gut Yellow Strings Review.After searching for awhile and doing quite a bit of research, I stumbled upon Head's Synthetic Gut String line. To say I was amazed is an understatement, I tried poly strings a few times and just could not get into them, nothing beats that amazing sound. I got my strings in yellow as they matched my new racquet I got, and I have to say they feel amazing to play with, I'm never left feeling that I need to change anything about my playstyle just to fit into what I bought. Good stringsI bought 3 of these strings. My tennis pro installed them on my Prince 110-size racquet. The old strings were still good after many years occasional use, but were too tight and I wanted more bounce. The new strings were installed at the low end of the specified tension range, and the racquet is much improved to my preference.

Good value stringHead synthetic gut plays better than other basic synthetic gut strings, has more play all the way through string life. I don't play as much as I used to and this string has the price point and playability that makes court time enjoyable.

Synthetic GutFor years I played with real gut and thought it was great. My son and I both played the same kind of racquet, his strung with synthetic gut mine with real gut. One day we both broke our strings, my racquet practically brand new was supposed to be restrung with real gut, his older and beaten up was supposed to get synthetic gut. The stringer got it wrong. My son got gut and I got synthetic gut. Although I was upset I tried my racquet out and to my surprise I liked it better than real gut. That was 10 years ago, I've been playing with Synthetic Gut ever since. The price is right and the feel and durability is awesome!
