Experienced players looking for surgical control and outstanding feel should love this update
Endorsed by Novak Djokovic, the Head Speed Pro has earned its reputation as one of the game’s most versatile player’s racquets. As with previous generations, this 2022 update combines the precision of an 18x20 string pattern with a near perfect balance of speed and stability. The upshot is a racquet that not only plows through the ball effectively but also moves fast when the pressure is on. In addition to delivering the connected feel that advanced players crave, the Speed Pro packs more than enough spin-potential to bring the ball down effectively. Technologies include a uniquely flexible Auxetic construction in the yoke, which is designed to calibrate ball feedback to stroke speed and impact location. As with the previous generation, this update has Graphene 360+, giving it polarized weighting for easier power along with SpiralFibers for better ball feedback. Ultimately, the Speed Pro 2022 is one of the most impressive updates we've seen in a while. Experienced players looking for extremely precise targeting and exceptional feel should love this one.

quality control issue, but overall is okeyI bought this racquet 2 months ago, and I was expecting something similar to the head speed pro BLK I already have, and I have confirmed their specs are identical.
But after I received the racquet, I feel like it's a lot heavier than my previous racquet. I measured its balance point, and its head heaviness is way higher than my previous head speed pro. Therefore, this resulted in its ultra-high swing weight and low maneuverability.
But is this a good racquet? Of course it is, I love to play with it when I'm hitting rallies at the baseline. However, it's hard for me to recommend this racquet to anybody. With an [ideal] static weight of 310 grams and a [theoretical] swing weight at 325, this is definitely a racquet designed for advanced players.
But for those who are seeking a racquet with solid specs and an exact feel with the same racquet model, this is not a racquet you are looking for. The specs of the Head speed Pro 2022 can be a bit too off-guard and making it harder to play with.
What I'm hoping for is that Head can work better on quality control, and TW staff are more wary about their racquets they received by measuring the major specs and ensuring their racquets are not too unpredictable.

But is this a good racquet? Of course it is. In my experience with this racquet, I love to play with it when I'm hitting rallies at the baseline. However, this racquet might not be suitable for anybody. With an [ideal] static weight of 310 grams and a [theoretical] swing weight at 325, this is definitely a racquet designed for advanced players. Players under 4.0 can find it challenging to use.
On the other hand, for those who are seeking a racquet with solid specs and an exact feel with the same racquet model, this might not be the racquet you are looking for. The specs of the Head speed Pro 2022 can be a bit too off-guard. As for me, I encountered a small consistency issue with the balancing point, though it didn't bother me as much, this can be very interesting for many players.
Good racquetGood racquet for control.
ProductGreat product and great service
Amazing racquet and TW serviceI know some people like a bit more pop with their racquets but I liked how buttery this racquet feels - this is definitely one of the most arm friendly racquet I've used. Comparing to the Pro Staff 97 v10 I used before, it has a larger sweetspot, is much more forgiving on off center hits, and the heavy swingsweight keeps the racquet stable at contact. It makes me much more consistent, and I found myself being able to hit swing volleys and volleys more confidently as a baseline player (4.0).
The only thing I'd say is with the 18x20 pattern spin production is a tiny bit harder. Based on Tennis Mentor's 2024 youtube review on the new head speed lines, 18x20 gives roughly 10% less ball RPM overall. However, this can easily be made up by a spinny and thinner gauge string. I have good spin on my shots, and using a hybrid between a soft multi / gut + poly has been excellent for feel and touch.
TW's racquet matching is also amazing and they've been very helpful throughout the process. Overall a great experience!
Pretty goodGood price
Good choice for intermediate skill levelI used Wilson Pro Staff 97 (315 gm) for a few years before this and when I was looking to switch to a racquet similar, this was the best one that suited my game. Its not too heavy and nor is it too light. It has right balance and it adds the necessary punch to the ground strokes.
Former University of Michigan playerHere is my set-up: Extended 1/4” (for a bit more plow through), Weiss Ultra cable at 48lbs (for spin that is needed on an 18/20), 10 grams added at the butt cap ( to make it feel a bit more head light and counter balance for stability). Feels pro stock level in terms of power, spin and control. Not quite as maneuverable as the Djokovic customized Liquid Metal 95 sq. in. Radical Pro (I have 4 of these), but plays similar. Not keen on the previous Speed Pro (too muted) or the 2024 edition (too flexible). Loved the Graphene XT Pro with a lot of lead at 3 and 9. Tried adding lead at 3 and 9 on the 2022, but the swing weight increase really did not add any benefit on this edition. They keep on increasing the swing weight on each Pro iteration, which makes it difficult to customize and maintain a proper balance.
62 Stiffness is Good for the armThis stick has different feel with my old Speed Pro Graphene Next. The low stiffness 62 give more comfort to arm with almost no vibration, maybe because of this Auxetic Tech. Also, it has a big sweet spot.
Best Speed Pro EverI have 2020, 2022, 2024. They all play well but something about the hitting experience, the sound of the ball coming off the string bed, a plush feel impact and just a solid all around tennis racquet. You’ll be happy with the racquet
