Best 17 gauge overallSooo, I don't usually use 17 gauge string due to my stringing tension of 70#s but… this hands down has great tension maintenance, spin and feel with other poly shaped strings I've used at 16 gauge. I haven't committed to using it exclusively but as a main crossed with a slick poly, opposing players have said they've noticed more RPM on my shots. For now, my usual string hasn't been in stock a few months but this was the blessing in disguise as I was researching the specs via TW university. Great to have a reel on hand!

Head Lynx Tour 17String doesn't have very much flex. Seems to grip the ball a bit better than some but can't feel the hex pattern the string advertises. Not a bad string but I've played better.

Crisp yet comfortableStrung in new T-fight 305s and seemed to complement the hitting characteristics well. Good ball feedback and access to spin without feeling harsh. Strung at 50 lbs

Worth a tryI love this string.. It gives me crisp feedback and holds tension really well. Works great on its own or in a Hybrid set up... Also like the price and color selection

Thwack!Great for driving shots, not as spinny as I would have thought but a great pocketing and launch feel on groundstrokes where you really put mass behind the ball. On those rare super shots where everything clicks perfectly, the sound is incredible. Thwack!

Great stringTook a gamble and went for 200m after using Hyper-G and RPM Blast for a while. First hit I was a little worried as didn't feel the bite and spin as much, but the second hit after it bedded in it was amazing. I'd say string a bit tighter and let it bed in and drop a bit then it holds up well. Not too firm on the arm and great power as well, more power than the other strings mentioned and not as dead as some reviews say

Comfort, controllable power and SpinThis is my go-to string for my son who is 12. It offers very good comfort, controllable power and Spin. I preferred the 16 gauge before I switched to Solinco Mach 10. Tension maintenance as expected is much better in the 16.

Comments: Agree with what Leon said below. First 30 minutes to an hour, stiff, and not much in the way of feel. But, after that, really nice string for control, the feel and touch improved immensely. Felt really nice in terms of touch, pocketing, and control. The edges do grip the ball and you can feel that, but spin is not hugely beyond other shaped strings or round strings because I'm a somewhat flat hitter. Really enjoyed this string and it's in my regular rotation. Strung at 52 and 50 pounds.

Comments: Feels stiff in the first 30 minutes of hitting; after that, it is heaven. Good control and I like the crisp feeling, not as muted as other polyester strings.

Comments: I usually use Tecnifibre Black Code 4S 17 gauge and Tecnifibre Multifeel in a hybrid. I compare this Lynx Tour to other control-oriented strings such as Solinco Tour Bite, Solinco Confidential, Volkl Cyclone, and RPM Blast in terms of feel I find that this was slightly softer than Solinco Confidential, but not as stiff as Solinco Hyper-G. I've been using it in my Yonex EZONE DR 98 for almost a week so I'm gonna keep on playing with the Lynx Tour for about another week then I'll cut it out after the second week. Overall an awesome string from Head!

Comments: I usually use either RPM Blast or the Blast VS Gut hybrid. My racquet is the new Pure Strike Tour string at 54 pounds. My play level is a former national level junior, university player but took many years off the game and am just now getting into competitive tennis again. I found the Lynx Tour very stiff for the first few hours, so much so that I debating cutting them out. Much stiffer feeling than RPM Blast regular or rough. But after about two hours of total hitting the strings seemed to find that perfect equilibrium of power and control, I absolutely loved the string for about the next 15 hours of hitting. I rotated three frames for a few weeks and now all sets have gone loose and dead, so time to change them out. I have two frames being strung with Lynx Tour on the mains and Babolat Addiction on the crosses which I am looking forward to trying. Overall I will use up my sets of Lynx Tour and then decide if I will make it my go-to string. Worth a try, and I got great spin and control. I was really able to hit out off both sides. Not a lot of touch at the net compared to RPM Blast, but good punch on volleys.
