Made in the USA, this co-poly offers above average comfort for the breed

Made in the USA Hawk Power offers above average comfort for a poly-based monofilament. As such, it feels a tad softer and more powerful than a traditional polyester, but it still offers impressive control on full cuts. In addition to being a great "starter poly" for those new to the breed, Hawk Power will also tempt the poly veteran looking for a softer ride. Spin also comes easy thanks to how fast this string lets you swing. Although Hawk Power definitely loses its fair share of tension over time, the playability holds up well compared to other soft polys.

HHPower very comfortable yet durableThis is the best match for my Prestige Pros (Aux v1 and v2) as it provides predictable launch angle and precision shots for several weeks' worth of hitting (averaging 3-4 times per week). In my experience, the string tension does not drop very much nor does it drop suddenly. I usually cut a set out before notching, but this takes a while. Lasts longer than Volkl Cyclone 17. I prefer round strings for predictability, and am impressed that I can still get a good bite on the ball using a tight 18x20 string pattern (at 49-50 pounds tension).

Comfortable power, but broke while stringingI tried this string on a demo racket and it felt great. Very comfortable with a lot of power. So I decided to buy a set and try it on my current racket. However, I never got to try it as it broke during stringing. I quickly hopped online and found that others had similar problems with the string. It's a pity. I would have loved to give this string a real try.

Bargain price for the performanceThe strings performed for my Babolat pure dive Team (2021) version and head boom MP. Very consistent and goes where I intend to hit. The feel is great compared to when using Hyper G. Been using it for 2 years on all my rackets. The color is also fantastic.

Excellent playability and power for about 6hI strung my 2023 Radical MPs with Hawk Power @50 and @52 lbs. both felt exactly the same TBH. Super smooth feel. Softer than other round control polys. Great SnapBack and more than avg spin vs other similar strings. The only issue was that I hit with each racquet for about 6h and then the playability change dramatically. There was still some snapback, but it felt like if the sweet spot got reduced to a very small section in the racquet. The 6 hours (4 hitting sessions including two matches) were absolutely wonderful. It’s a very balanced string IMO. I don’t hit super hard or break strings. This pretty much confirms what I found in a couple of reviews. Good overall and a great choice if you can restring very often.

Wonderful string for Prestige Pro (18x20)When I first purchased my Prestige Pro, I selected Head Hawk Power (17) because TW included it as one of the suggested string options and I liked its dark blue color. I had my first PP racquet strung at 50 pounds, and found that even though the PP racquet had dense 18x20 pattern and the string was round, I could get a good bite on the ball when hitting topspin or slice. The durability is certainly much better than a rough or profiled string (e.g., Volkl Cyclone or Solinco tour bite rough), with a very small sacrifice in ball grip. My shots feel much more predictable in terms of placement and depth, which was my initial plan in switching from 16x19 to 18x20 denser string pattern. I'm glad that TW recommended the string and that the string has been relatively durable and comfortable thus far.
