Updated with a new mold, this traditional player's racquet combines surprising speed with pinpoint precision and great feel

Dunlop adds another chapter to its most classic and control oriented racquet. Defined by its compact 95 square inch head and flexible 20.5mm beam, the CX 200 Tour 18x20 offers laser-like precision from the baseline and outstanding touch at net. As with the previous generation, this racquet's manageable swingweight makes it one of the most user-friendly members of its class. For this update, Dunlop retools the beam, adding more of a box shape below the 10/2 axis to enhance stability, control and feel. Additional changes for 2024 include Powergrid Stringtech+, which features wider cross string spacing to enhance spin and power. Dunlop also updates the stiffness profile, adding greater flexibility on the inner part for the frame for enhanced dwell time and pocketing, while also stiffening the racquet's face for added stability and power. To help reduce harsh impact vibrations, Dunlop adds a highly elastic material (named Vibroshield) to the midsection of both the hoop and shaft. This is complemented by Sonic Core with Infinergy, a uniquely pliable material applied to the 3/9 axis of the head to boost comfort and power. With this update, Dunlop keeps a good thing going. Experienced players looking for surgical control, raw speed and great feel will love this one.

Love this stickLong time Dunlop fan and for many years I've been hoping they would make a frame that is the perfect blend between the weight and balance of the HotMelt 200g an the stiffness and response of the HotMelt 300g and this is it. I added lead to bring the static weight up to 350g and strung it with Head Hawk 17ga at 45 lbs and it's just so sweet; great plow, crisp at contact but still with that muted Dunlop box beam feel, and zero instability on volley or returns.

Classic RacquetUpgraded from my F2.0 Tours that I played with since high school, almost a 1:1 frame. I play with Black Widow 17g at 55 lbs and it plays fantastically, might even try 18g.

Best feeling racquet on the marketI'm a 4.5+ player, serve and volley. I've played with everything at some point. But I always come back to Dunlop and specifically the 200 series. I played high school tennis with the 200 team, then transitioned to the 2.0 18x20 in the biomimetic lines. In the years since I've tried other things, then the latest interaction, the cx 200 tours came out and I was back hooked on Dunlop. This version is a bit crisper, giving you a bit more power and responsiveness. I like the way the ball pops off the stringbed more in this iteration. I was looking to get 10-15% more power and forgiveness from the previous generation just to ease things on my body and man, this thing does it with EASE, somehow without sacrificing the feel and control that I've loved from this frame line since I started playing with it in 2007. I'll be using these for the next 2-3 years at least

SensacionalI played for over 15 years with the Blade Tour 93, during which time I used vcore 97, pure storm and other rackets, but I always went back to the Blade Tour. After testing several rackets, I found that the cx 200 tour was the one that gave me the closest feeling of control and delivers much more power and comfort in my shots.

The best of all 3I am a 5.0 player using this stick since 1st version around 2017. Played the second version and this 3rd iteration is the best. Just easier to play and better feel.

Use lead tape at 3 and 9 with this racquet. As context I am a 50 year old 4.5 player. Played for 40 years and started out playing with the Dunlop Max 200G (McEnroe and Steffi Graf racquet). I have mostly played with Dunlop 200G and Wilson Pro Staff over the 40 years with brief rotations into Yonex and Volkl. I have played with Dunlop CX200 Tour 18x20 since it first came out in 2019-20. I have 4 of these racquets, two from the 2020 vintage and two from the 2023-24 vintage. First the racquets have evolved since the 2020 vintage. The feel is subtly different though very memorable with both. When hit right the feel is very enjoyable and makes for a sensory experience that can be a cue to recall when visualizing clean strokes. The 2023-24 vintage has a muted feel to it and more control. You can hit through with confidence knowing the racquet can keep the ball in court. The thing about these racquets is the low swing weight. In stock form it can do perfectly fine against moderate hitters but will flex and struggle against powerful hitters at the 4.5+ level. The racquet lacks plow through due to its low swing weight. Add lead to this racquet at 3 and 9 and watch it transform into a lethal weapon on court. Strokes are heavy with lead at 3 and 9. You plow through the ball effortlessly. The feel changes subtly but not by enough to alter the basic character of the racquet. In stock form the racquet does well at the net and on serves. With lead the racquet is surgical with drop volleys at the net. The lead gives you a heavy serve and will raise your game with this racquet. For comparison I also play with Yonex VCore Pro 97D 320 with lead as well as Yonex VCore Pro 97H in addition to Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 85. The Dunlop CX200 Tour 18x20 with lead can hold its own against either of these racquets. Without lead it still plays with more plow through than a stock Yonex VCore Pro 97D. In summary you really need to use this racquet with lead at 3 and 9. Don’t let that hold you back. It is one of the best racquets for a strong 4.0+ with full strokes and is great at the net.
