Babolat adds another chapter to Pure Drive Lite! At 10 ounces strung this racquet brings the explosive speed, raw power and impressive spin-potential of the Pure Drive franchise to dedicated beginners and early intermediate players. Updated with Babolat's new HTR System, the graphite layup has been re-engineered for higher torsional rigidity, resulting in more efficient energy transfer to the ball. To help soak up the harsher vibrations of this racquet's stiff construction, Babolat has devoted more real estate in the Pure Drive's shaft to SWX Pure Feel, a thin and extremely flexible viscoelastic rubber that sits between the carbon layers. good racquet and terrific customer serviceI ordered 2 Babolat Pure Drive racquets - it was done as 2 separate orders. One of them was lost by UPS, I called Tennis Warehouse and they immediately shipped replacement order with the exact specs on strings, tension, etc. Terrific customer service. The racquet was in stock and shipped quickly - thank you for the follow-up. I was able to return the unopened package back using the preprinted label from the 1st order.
Great Balance of power and feelThis racquet allows you to access power when you need it. With a lighter head balance, it has a quick response at the net and I can also get the racquet around quicker when returning a fast serve. Strung at 55 lbs and I have just enough bite on the ball to create some shape but still have the control for when I want to flatten out my shots with more pace. There were a couple of times my topspin drive dropped just short of the baseline when they previously with my older racquet would have gone long. The lighter head makes it feel a little more unstable than my old head-heavy racquet but it's a favorable trade off for all the possibilities it adds to my game.

Comments: My teenager used this racquet for a year and developed tennis elbow. Its a great racquet, but not the best if you are prone to arm/elbow issues due to its stiffness. We switched her back to a more flexible racquet.

Comments: Purchased the 'Lite' for my 13 year old daughter after trying out a few different racquets. She loves it and is hitting the ball much more consistently now. She has small hands so the 4 1/8 grip is perfect for her. Also went with the Volkl Cyclone 16 Black string which seems to be working well. Great setup for young teenage girl.
