This 10th generation of the Gel Resolution delivers stability, durability, and comfort! This version is designed for use on clay courts.
The Asics Gel Resolution X Clay takes stability, durability, and comfort to the next tier as Asics incorporates key updates, and builds upon the popularity of the previous generation (Asics Gel Resolution 9). A re-engineered Dynawall maximizes the lateral stability, while maintaining comfort as you plant and cut aggressively for changes in direction. The midsole is now more plush than previous versions with a combination of FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam; forget not the signature Gel cushioning in the forefoot. The medial side of the ankle collar has been raised to provide comfortable padding, while the PGUARD on the medial side of the toe box provides drag protection, for those players who slide on hard courts. A Full length AHAR Plus rubber outsole carries on the reputation of being one of the most durable in the industry, and the full herringbone tread pattern provides superb grip on clay courts.
- Upper: DYNALACING for a customizable fit and added comfort when cinching the laces tightly. Full length Flexion Fit upper with increased support, comfort, and ventilation.
- Midsole: FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam combine for cushioning and energy return. Asics' signature GEL adds to the shock absorption, and a responsive feel under foot. The Dynawall system is redesigned for more lateral stability and improved comfort on the lateral side of the foot.
- Outsole: AHAR Plus rubber outsole in a full herringbone tread pattern for maximum traction on clay courts. PGuard Toe Protector for those who slide and toe drag.
- Color: Midnight / Cream

Customer Reviews
Asics Gel Res. X ClayIt's a different shoe than the earlier iterations for sure. Comes up higher on the foot, perhaps slightly heavier, but I find my foot feels more secure and more cushioned, which is a nice little benefit.
They badly messed this upI'm one of those people who never writes a review, but I am compelled to share this with the tennis community and maybe Asics sees this too. I have been a Gel Res wearer for multiple generations of this shoe with the 9 being the last good shoe they made. With the X/10 version, they have gone backwards and completely messed up this shoe. It's bulky, feels heavy to wear and my feet start hurting within 10 mins on the court. I can't blame this on the long break in as I have spent at least 15-20 hours on the court with these shoes. The lacing system is really poor as I always feel my foot is loose despite cinching the laces as tight as I can. I hope Asics goes back to the drawing board and brings back what worked in the versions till 9.
XLittle heavier than previous model…
Stable and comfortableNot sure what everyone’s complaining about… as someone who beats up their shoes and always wears out the inside upper of my shoes sliding, braking and shreds my shoe laces… the changes are welcome. Super comfortable. I can see going down half a size but went true to size with Thorlo socks.
Best Resolution ever!!!After testing them, I consider these shoes to be the best Resolution I’ve ever used. They have improved significantly in comfort, especially for wide feet. I wouldn’t recommend them for narrow feet, as they might feel loose even with tighter lacing.
They offer more cushioning, are less rigid, and more stable than previous versions. Although they seem heavier, this doesn’t bother me, probably because I’m used to the FF3. Regarding durability, I have some doubts about certain lateral areas where the plastic is less dense.
Some people mention a plastic feel in the upper and that the sizing runs large, but I haven’t had any issues. I don’t think going half a size down solves the loose fit, as it’s more about the shoe’s width.
They feel higher, which gives me a greater sense of stability. Also, I had no adaptation issues or blisters; they felt comfortable and secure from the first use. In summary, an excellent ASICS update, ideal for baseline players and long rallies.
