Updated with Auxetic 2 for 2024

Endorsed by Novak Djokovic, the Head Speed Pro 2024 continues its reign as one of the game's most versatile player’s racquets. As with previous generations, this update features a traditional 18x20 string pattern, giving it a low and laser-like trajectory, making it great for players who like driving the ball through the court. Other features include a 330+ swingweight, giving it enough stability to redirect heavy pace while also offering plenty of pop to those who can leverage its mass. For 2024, in addition to giving this racquet a slightly softer feel and moving the target unstrung balance from 9 to 10HL, Head adds Auxetic 2 to the layup, a uniquely flexible material in the yolk and handle to optimize the racquet's feel and response. The Speed Pro also benefits from Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene inside), which strengthens the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, with incremental tweaks to the feel, the Speed Pro 2024 keeps a good thing going. Experienced players looking for a stable weapon with precise targeting and great feel will not be disappointed.

Best Speed Pro I've playedThe 2024 Head Speed Pro is amazing in every aspect. Quality control: I received my racquet at 310 grams, and the balance is great. Playtest: Racquet is very comfortable, stable and maneuverable at the baseline and the net. Not a power racquet, mainly for players that can generate their own power, but moving the racquet fast is easy. On serves: easy to hit the target for both first and kick serves but again, not a power racquet. It didn't raise the speed of my serves. Amazing racquet. I definitely recommend it for players looking for a control, comfortable, and stable racquet.

Favorite I've playedThe 2024 Speed Pro is the best fit I've found yet. Strung with Luxilon ALU Power 1.25 at 48 pounds this racquet has great stability, plow through, accuracy, balance, looks and size. I like the matte finish, black and white with no bronze markings. My 2022 Speed Pro w/ Lynx Tour is now my backup. I demoed the 2024 Speed MP and it hurt my elbow and I was not as accurate. I've tried 30+ racquets the past few years and this one just seems to work. However, I'm sure I won't be able to resist the urge to demo and buy more racquets because it's just too much fun.

Best Speed Pro yetI found the 2024 version to be just about perfect. I’ve played with the previous two versions, which I loved for their stability, great control, and feel, especially while volleying. However, the string bed could feel a bit stiff with the incorrect string setup and my biggest complaint is that it always felt a bit too head heavy and less maneuverable, which was noticeable going into the third set. The 2024 addressed all my concerns. While the overall weight of my 2024 Speed Pro is about the same as the prior generation that I had customized at 337 grams and 7 points head light, the 2024 version doesn’t feel like it’s 337 grams. I believe in the 2024 version some of the weight was transferred to the handle, which makes the racquet feel much more maneuverable and quicker through the air… it’s a Speed racquet after all. It also seems to have more power than in previous generations, so no complaints there. I would echo Chris from TW's review for what it’s worth. Highlights for me include the maneuverability, volleys, power, and comfort. I would especially agree with TW’s comment about this racquet playing great in stock form for those who normally prefer a heavier racquet (I almost always add two grams to 3 and 9 o'clock each and an additional four grams in the handle). My current string setup is Head Velocity MLT 16 gauge in the mains and MLT 17 gauge in the crosses, both at 52 pounds and no customization.

The Best Speed Pro to dateThis is by far the best Speed Pro I've played with. It has better stability and feel compared to the 2022 model.

Disappointing upgradeWhen I played with the previous version, the sweet spot felt great, had great control on the ball, and had some decent power for an 18x20 string bed. However, that was not the case for this new version. The weight and balance feels like a Head Speed Pro, but all the positives I had with this racquet were gone. The frame felt much more muted than necessary, and I had no connection with the ball. After a few hits with it, I just didn't want to hold the racquet anymore. Overall, I wouldn't recommend upgrading if you use the previous version, but if you love staying current then you may want to try changing up the strings/specs.

Speed Pro 2024Just played with this brand new product from Head. It's great when compared with the last Speed Pro. More stable for control, good volleys, groundstrokes can be easily handled and powered through. Strongly recommended to middle grade players!
