Easy power meets massive spin for $129.95!

After skipping a generation, the Extreme Pro is back and so is the dangerous combination of power and spin. As the heaviest member of the Extreme family, this stick is hefty enough for redirecting heavy pace or driving the ball through the court. It should also work for the intermediate player who is willing to trade a little speed for a more solid feel at impact. Like the lighter Extreme models, the Pro is extremely spin-friendly, and it has the needed mass to hit a heavy ball that drops hard and explodes off the court. The Extreme Pro also benefits from Graphene 360, which is a material technology that strengthens the racquet at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock. It also comes with 360 Spin Grommets, which use larger funnel shaped grommets to enable greater string movement and vicious snapback (thin heavy ball rotation). From the baseline the Extreme Pro rewards full swings with juicy levels of power and spin, making it ideal for the aggressive player who likes to dictate action. The beefy 331 RDC swingweight not only provides a solid feel at impact but it will enable you to drive the ball powerfully through the court. Thanks to a sub-65RA, this stick is more arm-friendly than many racquets in its class. At net, the Extreme Pro does a great job redirecting pace, and there's enough power to end points with authority. Aggressive servers will have enough pop to force weak replies. This racquet also shines on service returns where you'll have the mass to block the ball deep into opposing territory. This update to the Extreme Pro is an obvious choice for big hitters looking to hit with a heavy combination of power and spin.

very good!+ Spin monster + Great stability + Great power +Great for serves + Great for volleys + Amazing for backhand-slices - The color PS: To make this raquet perfect; a "stretch version", like 27.25 or 27.50 would be great.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Great heft and spin. Better than present version. Lower swingweight seems to be the trend, unfortunately, but this version is great. I went to a synthetic gut this time, and it works well. The spin is there. The ball pops off the huge sweetspot. I think the higher swing weight reins in the good power. Also, slice shots off both sides is very good.

Comments: I've been playing with a modified Babolat Pure Aero and was looking for something with more heft for a change in pace. The Extreme Pro gave me what I was looking for. It's very solid with a head-heavy balance compared to the Pure Aero. I've only tried a couple of strings in it so far. Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable proved to be too powerful at 40 pounds, and at that low tension it also felt a bit muted. Volkl Cyclone 17 black at 48 pounds gave a great balance of feel, control, and power. I added .2 ounces to the handle to move the balance a bit, and now it's perfect. Now I'm torn between this and the Pure Aero as my go-to racquet. I'm a senior 4.0 and primarily hit with topspin from both sides.

Comments: Extremely thrilled with the head speed, weight, and overall performance. A great addition to my bag and a first pick. Great from back of the court to the net.
From: Jay, 7/12/20

Comments: This racquet plays very well, very in line for Head's Extreme series. However, the larger grommets really affect the string durability. I am a 4.5 player and I generally break polyester strings within two to three hours of hitting with this racquet. What you save with the racquet price, you pay back at the pro shop.

Comments: I did not experience the clunky feel noted below. This is a robust frame as evidenced by its static swingweight, and does not require the addition of lead tape for impressive plow through. Solid, and plays perhaps a bit stiffer than the specs indicate.

Comments: I always start with positives, and this racquet has class-leading power. However, if you are a player with fast strokes with an emphasis on dictating with power and control, then avoid this racquet like the plague. It's static weight and swingweight combo makes this racquet clunky and frustrating. Defensive play is hindered by the frame's trampoline effect, and offensive play is further hampered by virtually no control. Serving with spin is also rather difficult due to the racquet's high swingweight, and even flat serves suffer. The only positive stroke are volleys, where the weight helps with stability. The racquet in my opinion is the weakest in their lineup.

Comments: This racquet rocks, especially at that price point. I have mine strung with RPM Blast Rough at 53 pounds on the mains and 51 pounds on the crosses. This stick has plenty of power, that's why most are using a poly in it. I'm a 3.5 player.

Comments: I really like this racquet. Lots of power and spin, solid overall. You may want to lower the tension just a bit as it can cause some fatigue in the arm. I love my Head Speed Pro and Prestige Mid Plus 18x20. Both are slightly modified with some lead tape to get the racquet a bit over 12 ounces. I did not have to add any weight to this racquet to get that comfort level on groundstrokes and at the net. Great price point for this Head racquet and you can really create some havok with your slice and kick serves. I would recommend that you demo this racquet and see for yourself!
From: Roger, 3/11/19

Comments: It's the best racquet this side of Talladega... Seriously though, I switched to this from my Babolat Pure Strike 98 16X19 and am looking forward to tapping into the potential that comes with a new frame. While I only have a demo from TW right now, it's actually a brand new demo at that, I have already ordered 2 of them strung with Solinco Revolution 16 at 50 lbs. While this is 5 pounds lower than the demo, I think it shall suit the racquet well.
