Wilson Enduro Tour 16 String Customer feedback

Comments: Best string I have ever used, and I have play tested many. I found this string to offer a lot of spin potential after you wear off the slippery coating on the string. Spin was very nice, especially topspin with my forehand. I felt like Roddick wailing from the baseline to see it shoot back down once it crossed the net. Strings dont move at all with this stuff, probably why it gives me better spin. I think this string just holds onto the ball a little bit longer than most. Most strings move a little when the ball strikes the face, losing traction and thus losing spin potential. These strings stay put and accelerate the spin more so. I had to string it a little looser, my pro recommended 30% less tension. What I made up with spin I lost with accuracy unfortunately. I think it's a good tradeoff for me since I am a power baseliner who tends to keep the ball in the middle of the court. I need the spin to keep my ball in play

Comments: I strung my racquet with these in the mains. This string is very stiff like wire as mentioned when stringing with it. It also reminds me of warm bubble gum when tensioning, you pull it to tension and then slowly it just keeps stretching and you lose tension very slowly, which also slowly happens over time once it is in your racquet. This string is very very smooth and slippery to the touch, which I believe made it difficult for me to get as much spin as I normally get on my shots. This string definitely seems very durable.

Comments: I've been playing w/ a string similar to the Gamma TNT2 but kept on breaking after 2 weeks of daily play. I tried this Wilson Enduro Tour 16g to see if it will last longer. First of all, this string is not as easy to string as my previous string just because it is so stiff. Playability: Initially, the string has crisp hits but over the first week, the sweet spot seems to get smaller and smaller. Very stiff strings with very little stretch so topspin is hard to do because the ball leaves the string so quickly. I'm not able to feel the ball as well either. I'm used to the previous strings ability to stretch and hug the ball for extra control and feel. I totally disagree with Wilson's rating of playability of 9 on this string. Maybe this string is good for hard hitters who have pinpoint accuracy and flat hits, but not for hard topspin hitters who like to go for control and touch shots as well. After playing for 2 weeks with the Wilson Enduro Tour and not being able to control the ball, I'll go back to my other string even if that means stringing more frequently. On the plus side, this string looks like it'll last forever. My recommendation: depending on your style of play, you'll either like this string or hate it. 4.0 Fast swing topspin player.

Comments: I've been using these strings since December, and I've only had to switch twice. Lately, I've broken one for three weeks, and I'm thinking of switching strings. I loved these strings. They don't offer as much spin, but power and control seems really great. A wee bit hard on the arm too though.

Comments: Enduro Tour is a very good string type for a baseliner. Although it has not got much topspin I am in great control of the ball anyway. The only problem about this string is that it looses tension too fast.

Comments: I have to agree with early comments regarding playability during first 2 hours and then quite significant tension loss thereafter. I hit a heavy ball with quite a lot of spin off both sides. However, I'll likely cut the string out before it breaks since I can't manage very well smacking heavy topspin from all court positions, only to watch the ball sail long.

Comments: I’m beginning to like Enduro tour strings! They are very durable, but the 16 gauge is a little bit hard on my arms - so I might be changing to 17 gauge. I’ll probably be going to lower down my tension from 59 to 57lbs. The string is worth a try because it's very responsive and very good for spin!

Comments: The Enduro Tour is very durable and very resistant to movement but the feel is really bad. When you hit with it, it feels really uncomfortable and there is almost no control with that string. I wouldn't recommend it unless all you want is durability.

Comments: The Enduro Tour 16 plays well - nice feel and offers good power, durability and comfort.

Comments: This is absolutely the best string I’ve ever played with. Used this string in a 4.0 tourney and got to the finals with it. It is absolutely amazing on the kick serve.

Comments: I am a fan of polyester strings, but I did not like this string in the 16 gauge. It's stiff, with a combination of muted feel and power. I think that Wilson tried to make a comfortable polyester string, but ended up losing some of the edge that people like in polyester. I can't complain about the durability, but I am not a string breaker. My stringer pre-stretches, and I did not have any problems with tension loss after about 6 weeks of playing. I much prefer the Enduro 17 gauge which seems to have more elasticity to pocket and hold the ball better for improved power and feel, but is not as good for holding tension.

Comments: This is a very nice string. I'm really into poly string (especially Luxilon). At first, it feels strange, but once you find your range, it plays great. It feels crisper than a lot of other poly string. It didn't last too long, but I think my grommet was sharp. I like it.

Comments: Enduro, Wilson's foray into the current polyester trend, is an undeniably durable string that suffers from the typical poly pitfalls. This sting has a good combination of power and control for the first two hours or so. However, like many competitors, this string suffers from problems with tension maintenance. I would cut it out well before it breaks, especially the 16 gauge because of the lack of control after tension loss. Considering this fact, I would recommend the more affordable Prince Polygut, which plays as well, if not better.

Comments: I have been using this string since the beginning of my high school season. The string is extraordinary. It lasts me about 10 hours, which is pretty good. It is more responsive and arm friendly than other polyesters. Also, it doesn't lose too much tension. The reels are a real bargain.
